Good review. And I like the fact that you are honest and don't pretend to be an expert like some guys. And thanks for not trying to show off with that shredding crap that so many guys do.
@@MrKing-qd7gi there's musical shredding and there's shredding that's technical but not so much musical. Meaning, it's more of a dick measuring contest than nice to the ears lol. I like the musical kind. I can't shred and never could, though. Stupid fingers have a tendency to lock up on me at the worst times.
I know that this review is a little bit old, but I loved it, I loved that this man doesn't believe an expert and it seems a lot honest, I love it, Its a great guitar, I have this guitar and I think it's awesome, all depends on the person who is playing it, grettings Junior, You have a new subscriber
I have one of these and all I did was change out the tuners to locking tuners and adjusted the action. It is my favorite guitar to play. I have 8 guitars all different setups. But I paid 250 bucks for one of these afd ones. And the sustain on the notes is absolutely insane 🤘🤘
ive owned this guitar for about a year now played it heavily for about 6 months till i upgraded, i go back and play it still every now and then because it honestly is a very good sounding guitar, has such a good crunch sound and comfortable neck, more reminiscent of a SG rather then a Les paul in my opinion
That's a lot of guitar for the money! I've been thinking of bringing the finish off on my necks too, the scotchbrite method seems to be the least destructive.
It is totally harmless to the stain on the neck. Since this video I have took the scotchbrite to it some more and taken some of the stain off the neck, feels much better. Now it is time to change out the plastic nut.
I've been doing bone swaps on my acoustics. With the Les Paul get the brass or an actual Gibson zero fret titanium.. locking tuners. Any cheap one tbh that fit.
I picked up three same package on Amazon, I changed out the tuners with the old-school pes paul that greenish color their locking also and changed the bridge to a roller bridge , but out of the box it played pretty dam good sounds good also.
I got a black one on amazon for $149. It is so light and comfortable to play, even lying on my couch watching TV. I am holding it as I type this. Best $149 I've spent in a while.
No you wouldn't. Locking tuners don't lock it in position or in tune they just lock on the string so you don't have to wind them around the post so many times.
These pickups look a little different than the ones that come with the standard Les Paul II Specials. Are these what they call the zebra ceramics? The standard are 650R/700T which are also ceramic.
well I’ve just bought one... how do I fix up the back of the neck? i shouldn’t have bought mine and saved the money but it looks fairly nice and didn’t break my bank nor budget. wanted the les Paul junior... honestly would love a Martin d18 but that bank just makes me hurt. built best though.
id like to buy this guitar; i am NOT a big fan of LP;s but i like this one ; any feed back is welcome ; i am more of a strat player, thanks , good video too;i appreciate
Any ideas on better guitars for a similar price? I wanna know. I’m a novice player wanting to know and am stuck with a 75$ garbage one. I wanna get a good one for about $250
I had this guitar once. Not bad for the money. The frets would develop surface rust and tarnish quite often. I grew tired of having to take 0000 steel wool to clean the frets and using blue painters tape to protect the fret board and having to replace the strings in the process. So I traded it in. Kind of a shame cause it did sound good.
is this happening to everyone ? I mean I really like this guitar especially the Les paul style but If it has problems like this then maybe I wouldnt buy it
@@alexalexyoo2175 Not sure how common this problem is. It could just be the one I had. If you like Les Paul style guitars, check out the ESP LTD EC-256. I bought one 3 years ago, and it is awesome. The frets are just as nice as they were when I bought it.
Skip the package deal and find a used practice amp on FB or CL or somewhere if you insist on getting this guitar. Read and watch a bunch of reviews before buying and bonus points for video reviews using this guitar.
Nice guitar and all, but I want to hear more about that red guitar on the wall behind you! I've started a channel of backing tracks you might like btw. Every track will be transposed into all 12 keys so it will be a great practice resource for blues, jazz, funk and rock players alike. Be sure to check it out if you are into that sort of thing!
Unfortunately the Red Silvertone is not playable right now. Lack of humidity for to long is making it come apart and the action is way to high to play.
people tend to underestimate the importance of a beginner liking the look of their new guitar.
I too like to eat cheese.
What you mean?

Thanks for watching. After 2 1/2 years of playing I still call myself a beginner . I guess if I could shred I probably would...lol
Robert Evans shredding crap? that's hard not crap
@@OZHKAR1 ehh..depends on how it's done.
@@RC-bs6eb As with anything guitar related. If you can shred why wouldn't you? I know I would.

Straight up honest review!
This is very wholesome. Nice review, I'm probably going to buy this guitar is the upcoming week.

I really like an unfinished neck. Gonna try that Scotch Brite trick.
Grear review! Planning to buy this.
You say it stays in tune so I wouldn’t need locking tuners?
No you wouldn't. Locking tuners don't lock it in position or in tune they just lock on the string so you don't have to wind them around the post so many times.
I know this video is older but just picked up one a 2019 at a pawn shop for $100.
Good video thanks.
Woow! I would've never thought crazy nc man would have a guitar channel! :0 love your vids man!
Glad to hear you like the guitar! I have a transparent black special 2 on the way.
Love the look too. Graph tech nuts come cut nicely. Super simple install yourself. Try it. You will feel better after doing it yourself. Enjoy
I have one, with a few adjustments it's a sweet little player. Good video
Im unsure what to buy between a jackson JS11, a fender squier bullet telecaster or this guitar in this video. Any suggestions ?

I am tossing up between the AFD les paul or the LT studio les paul which one you think?
i just orderd the AFD .cant wait to get it.its on backorder (ofcourse) it is
Is a good guitar for beginners ? I would like to buy it but I’m not sure 🤔can you help me mate?

Buy the green Scotch-Brite pads. Find them at walmart or grocery stores. Then just lightly rub the back of the neck and the poly comes off.

Hey man. this guitar is actually nice. but why didn't you take the Epi LP100? same body with 2 volume and 2 tone knobs.
I just liked the finish on this guitar and I prefer the one volume and tone over 2.
Nice and responsive page. Keep posting man! I know you'll get more subs than this. Just remember, I'm the 20th guy. Lol. Cheers
Thanks for watching and subscribing. I have a bunch of new stuff to make videos on, just need to find the time to make them.
Is this a good guitar ? can u change the pick ups with seymourduncan pick ups ?
Yo do you think its worth to get a les paul standrard epi and put some humbucker magnets or this one with humbucker?
Any ideas on better guitars for a similar price? I wanna know. I’m a novice player wanting to know and am stuck with a 75$ garbage one. I wanna get a good one for about $250
Did you end finding what you wanted?
Don't know if anyone gonna see this comment but would this guitar be good for a beginner playing at home on an Orange Crush Mini amp?
This is a great beginner guitar
@@wiseblood4729 i got a beautiful Squier Tele but thanks for the reply

Totally sure.
Im sure you can find some good second hand ones out there nowadays.
I got a nice almost new one for about 90$
"Uh Oh...Cops" LMAO!
Where does this guitar come from
Very nice and relaxed review. Thanks! I actually like a lot this guitar as well. Very decent for the money.
I think we need a pedal primer.
Are the amp enough/good for playing inside a home

The Agile should sound better, it's a lot more money! The AFD LP is a good deal! Thanks for sharing.
Crazyncman is that you?
Yup sure is!
Skipped 5x in the video and each time no guitar being played until the end. And it was horrible effects
