WHO WANTS A STUDIO TOUR??
Hell yeah!!
Subitooo
YEEEES!
Yes!!
Yeahhh
Funny fact: Just listened to your video....washing the dishes.... this video is pure gold.... you are an amazing storyteller. This video has really inspired me a lot. Many times I find myself worried about the gear, plugins etc etc.. that I forget that the most important thing is play music and create it.... kudos to you man....greetings from lithuania... though I'm mexican 😂
Wow, thank you man, really appreciate reading these comments. Keep it up!!
Just to put my two cents (which is unconventional but good to consider I think) and contribute to the message of this wonderful video: I have been making music for more than a decade with “bare maximum” as Steve Lacy who recorded his first tracks using his only his iPhone would say; I didn't use any speakers, audio interface, and pro microphone to make music to this date. If you can learn how to produce and mix using your headphones (this requires you to know your headphones really well that you will understand its frequency response and train your ears accordingly), you will basically carry your studio on your head as Andrew Scheps who mixes via his 81 USD Sony MDR-7506 headphones would say and you will resolve 2 critical issues: (1) your speakers, (2) your room treatment / acoustic environment (you are at the mercy of your room while using speakers but headphones are 100% reproducible in any room). While using exclusively headphones (you don't need any correction software as well, just plug them into your computer), you won’t need to deal with those 2 big issues that can dramatically affect your audio output and if not treated well can ruin your sound, when you know your headphones in and out, you will basically eliminate these factors. And this way, you won’t also need any audio interface, except you are using a Mac with a relatively good built-in DAC and you are not recording anything with a microphone. Speaking of a microphone, with that method, you won’t also need it and this will create a huge amount of savings and you will start making music immediately with "bare maximum".
P.S. I recommend beyerdynamic DT-770 PRO 32 Ohm for this reason that is suitable for computers and mobile devices thanks to its low impedance that does not require any amplification through a headphone amp or an audio interface.
P.S. 2 Across different artistic realms, limitations lead artists to become more creative: Kendrick Lamar and Derek Ali mixed their first EP, "Section.80" using a broken microphone that created undesired distortion which then was creatively turned around by the mixer Derek Ali throughout the EP and there are countless other examples to this.
It's a crime that this channel has only 13.200 subs - these videos are fire! I would love to see your own interpretation of songs and production thoughts/workflow in the style of specific artists/genre though ...maybe similar in the style of Make Pop Music, but in your process. Anyway thanks for the great work!
thanks so much for the support! Yeah that's a good idea, might do that eventually!
Started to watch you many weeks ago and want to tell you without doubts that you are amazing!
Thank you for your sharing...
Wow, thank you!
I think you are working a lot as you cutted everything out and last only the most important thing in video.
I'm just learning music production and started with FL studio.
But as I see from you Ableton live is also good to go with.
Thanks for the video and Congratulations on surpassing 10k subscribers! Would definitely like to hear you talk about the music business, industry and building contacts 😄
Totally, I'll make sure to do that! Thanks for watching 🙏
love how you explained all the different options! very helpful!
Glad you liked it!!
Thank you very much man! i had love to hear more about the industry from you :)
Thank you for the video! Great information and easy to understand. Video making is also on point :D
Thanks a lot! Glad to know you're enjoying the video editing as well 😎
This was super interesting, thanks! For what it’s worth, I’d love to see you make something from scratch on a video, like an original song or even just a beat or something small! Watching the creative process is fascinating
Thanks for watching glad you liked it! However yes I will do more videos like that, make sure to check some of the older videos too, like the one about free plugins, I made a beat from scratch there 😎
@badhabit I have been a long-time follower of your channel! Keep up the great work! Your videos are amazing! I have started making music in 2013, too, however I have not been consistent. Believe it or not, I have been making music without any audio interface, on my 7.5 years old Mac and beyerdynamic headphones and I learned how to mix music without any speakers through my headphones and in the box. Human beings are really adaptive it seems! And +1 for Apple because I recently realized that the reason that I did not rely on any audio interface to this date was because there is a good built-in DAC on Mac it seems. P.S. Can I learn your real name in addition to your stage name? Also, I would love to see a video in which you talk about the industry, how you started and found freelance job in this realm! I am looking forward to it!
Fun fact: Andrew Scheps mixed the album "0" by Low Roar exclusively on 81 USD Sony MDR-7506 headphones!
omg this was so helpful!!! studio tour pls!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Coming soon!
Great content as always, I feel very encouraged to go for that macbook air. YES, please talk about music industry. Would like to know about producer contracts, getting signed, and artist-producer career e.g Tainy, Metro, Boomin, etc...
that's great! happy to help!
I found out it a lot easier for me to understand basic music production from learning music theory and songwriting first. I just tried Ableton and I love the sounds in there. Logic their library sounds cheap af lol.
I remember watching your kill bill video and thinking how crazy it was that your channel was so small but it’s amazing to see that more ppl are seeing your videos! 100k subs coming soon 📈
Also, pls make a Sabrina carpenter Espresso breakdown. I feel like you would kill it
Yoo so cool to know you’ve been here since the very beginning thanks for supporting! 100k def a goal 😎

digital piano keyboard vs midi keyboard controller ??
What is the best VST for Zedd and Wolfgang Gartner type sounds? I find Sylenth to be very thin...
that's a good question, I think Zedd signature's bass was actually Sylenth tho. probably processed a lot! Serum, Massive, FM8, all of these for sure
You, good sir, need to post , defo never too much music business info.
haha I knooow I'm trying!!
Concordo su tutte le scelte vogliamo lo studio tour, ma con lo shure vai direttamente nell’apollo? O hai un preamp?
Lo studio tour arriverà!! E con lo shure entro in un Neve 1073, e poi nell’apollo
I would love to know more about the industry and specially how necessary is it to move to the US (Im from Uruguay and don’t really wanna move to the US 😶 would move to Europe tho)
that's a great topic, very meaningful to me, I will for sure make a video about it
💣💥
🙏🙏
I do
Did you use cloudlifter/preamp on your sm7b?
Yeah! Only thing it's going through is a Neve 1073
I use UAD Volt to boost the gain, but it has a little bit noise.Haha@@badhabit
Can you remake Sunflower by Post Malone?
It would be cool 👍🙏
That “one day” might never come for me 😭 a price of my car on a microphone 💀
Nah don’t worry about that, you don’t need it! Sm7 and you’re good for life
Please make rush -Troye Sivan beat pleasse 🙏🙏❤️❤️♥️
Uhh nice one!
The thumbnail not showing the price of the interface he’s holding got me 😅😅😅
lol got you
@@badhabitwell shit, guess I’m gonna have to do more than panhandle
Yo bro 😄 could you please make a “I like the way you kiss me” remake ? Would be insane
99$ AKG 😅

Great video as always! It would be super interesting to know more about how industry is changing and how to make contacts to help artists and producers to live of making music 🫶🏻
