He got a key from the devs. He's playing it before the release date. Not day 1... they basically expected him to showcase the game. They may even have paid him to play it as well. It's a perk of being a YT creator.
Next step- find the tree you want - one with mushrooms growing out of it and climb them up to safety where you find an owl and talk to it and claim your tree. This gives you a great flat area up in the tree to build your base which is a bit safer than on the forest floor, and keep you from having a base destroyed overnight!. Once you claim your tree it goes with you, with your base on it, into any game you join - whether a new single player game or into any of the co-op games you join no matter whether you host it or someone else does. They have said that it will also come with you into any dedicated server (when those become available) whether its a open community server or a private server or a dedicated rented gameserver. Its your tree and you keep it forever.
Good first episode, my wife was watching with me. She hated having to kill the ladybug's in grounded. When you went to kill the ladybug she said NOOO!!! While fighting the bull ant, you said why you being such a bully. Wife said, because you killed his ladybug best friend lol! good time. Thank you for the video's.
If you climb the huge oak tree next to your look out there is a base spot at the top with a butler on an elevator would love you see what you could do with the space
Love that you talked about how obvious it was, what was the in- and outside of walls - and then completely placed all outsides on the inside 😉 Buildings are almost always build to be more exquisite to the passers-by, and more simple on the inside so that it's easier to decorate. Also, I bet the roof snap points will function better, if you revert the walls. 😊
Depends on if you view the twigs and fiber bindings as design or structural. Some games where the wall face matters for protection against other people, you would want the structural side inside, and the "plain" side outside. I don't know if that matters in this game so you could do it either way you like
@@KnusSolvej The rooves don't have anything on the outside when I looked, the only structural bit I see is twig and rope in the middle and it's on the insides. Looking at the ones around 13:55 for context, maybe we saw different ones. I just double checked and it's maybe visible on both sides anyways so the roof isn't a good example
This has been on my wishlist for a long time. It definitely has Grounded vibes (even though I believe this one was in development first) but I hope it has a big Valheim'esk adventure to it.
This looks very nice, gonna keep my eye on it. Thanks for including the reading for me to pause and read, I really like the reading, and I get annoyed when people skip it then wander around whining that they don't know what to do. This game so far looks very Lord of the Rings for me, just getting that kind of vibe from the visuals, very fantasy looking I approve! The basics seems well done, the tutorial is fun, and the eyes glowing until you read it is cool. Can't wait to see more!
Had that game on my wishlist for ages. Kinda feared it wouldn't come out with all the trouble they had. So incredibly happy to see it pulled through. I'll definitley get it when it comes out on Wednesday. :D
I like this game, I've never played it so I'm not sure on tips but since the rain makes mushrooms and plants come back faster, I'd farm as many mushrooms as you can now since they don't spoil
This has been on my wishlist forever. Wednesday can't get here fast enough. Is the world randomly generated? Because it was already looking like a mashup of Ark and Grounded, which I was here for. But if they threw in some Valheim randomization (and fingers crossed for building) I don't know if I'll ever play anything else.
2:04 One thing that annoys me a little in games is the way NPCs wave to get your attention. Whether you're right in front of them or far away they raise their arm all the way in the air to wave. Itd look so much better if they just did a subtle wave. Maybe have them just raise their hand a little and do a slight wave from sternum height. Itd look so much better regardless of whether your character is close or farther away. Far away itd look like theyre trying to get your attention and if youre right in front of them itd look like a greating. Not sure why this annoys me or why ive put so much thought into it. Am i the only one annoyed by that?
Love to see page put out 10 to 15 games at a time. So many playlists to check on. Some even finished. Lol. None of the big boys play games like this. Sorry to say. So when some few new game channels show up take it. Check out gamededge , scapegoat , but enjoy it here too.
Love the videos. But could you please update your Playlists? Scrolling thru all of your videos to find a specific one is pretty time-consuming. Specifically No one Survived. It doesn't even have a playlist.
I'm a little disappointed Kage didn't hop up on the obvious mushroom stairway to the left of his base. How does he stifle curiosity? I'm also guessing if you arm the hatchet you can cut down all the wood you want, seems like survival game 101. People have been talking about this game endlessly in the Grounded series comments and I'm surprised Kage seems to have just found out about it. I guess we'll chalk it up to his self professed bad memory.
No, that's just not how any of this works. A game development process is a very time-consuming and tedious process. As this game is "Early Access", it's still in the phase of being developed. A developer may choose to work on one platform and then have it ported to another at a point in the future; but it is more logical and easier for the developer to focus on one platform than develop for a multitude all at once, especially if the development team is small. I strongly recommend you research the topic.
I have a Dream... I want to see Kage finish up any game that he has started before starting another one or Ten.
😂😂😂 bro its definitely gonna be happening....in dreams
Haha
Lol
Keep dreaming >.
You forgot how important it is as a Creator to play the Games at Day 1 Release, the competition is too Big on YT. He do everything right.
He got a key from the devs. He's playing it before the release date. Not day 1... they basically expected him to showcase the game. They may even have paid him to play it as well. It's a perk of being a YT creator.

How does it work if someone claimed the same tree in their game than you both join a server together?

Actualy Smalland was announced before Grounded, I think the dev-team is smaller that is why it took longer
This has been on my wishlist for a long time. It definitely has Grounded vibes (even though I believe this one was in development first) but I hope it has a big Valheim'esk adventure to it.
It was announced before Grounded, but the devs ran into problems.
It switched compinies 3 times I think.
So glad it found another dev.
-esque, not esk, for future reference. you're welcome.
@@antihero414 Life changing...thanks.
Nothing like a sandbox survival game to bring out your inner hoarder. I'm sitting here thinking about all of the resources you breezed by 😅
Bro I have been following this game for like 2 years now! This is one game I am excited about

Yesss, I'm getting this game on release! Thank you for playing it so I got some videos to help me through it wooohooo
Reminds me of a Bug's Life
Awesome video! My girls and I have been following the development and waiting for this one for a long time!
Have you tried Grounded?
I love the fact they worship owls. Creatures that would tear them apart and eat them on a whim... even if they weren't hungry!
They look smaller than a mouse so an owl would probably ignore them.
Omg this game is super cool!!!
Need a valheim series episode 😢
Looks interesting. Keep the vids comin' and i'll keep liking. :)
Definitely keeping an eye on this one!
This game looks very interesting
i am so excited that you are doing this game! It has been on my wishlist for some time now. =)
Glad you're covering this game, been waiting years to see what it holds🤙
Had that game on my wishlist for ages. Kinda feared it wouldn't come out with all the trouble they had.

I'll definitley get it when it comes out on Wednesday. :D
Wow! You can play it before Release? Contratz Kage, well deserved for the Work you do every Day for us! How do you got the Preview Key?
I can't wait to get this game.. it looks super fun. :)
Cool looking game
This game was in development before Grounded. And I have heard whispers grounded was based on this games concept.
Looks like a cool game.
This looks fun
Oh dang, this was on my wish list since 2020.
Grounded meets valheim😂
I want this game so bad!
DEVS! I'm an advocate for taking your time to make the game as best as it can be but give us a guestimated release at least.
Yeah, not a fan of the "you can't go pee" games. SP games should always have a pause.
Im getting strong Valheim vibes atleast in the first 10 minutes of this video.
Could you make a playlist for this series, please? Thanks!
Reminds of Valheim, but with tiny elf instead of vikings. :)
Was just thinking that. The building system is very valheim!
I like this game, I've never played it so I'm not sure on tips but since the rain makes mushrooms and plants come back faster, I'd farm as many mushrooms as you can now since they don't spoil
You said it, early access is good if it's done right. The problem is most of them aren't.
Looks good but I need to upgrade my gpu to play this. Is this just 3rd person?
Hopefully series contineu.
Any news on console release for this game?
Looks an interesting game. I miss your grounded series, shame its not a popular game on YT. Survival games are a lot of fun!
Thanks for this review. I may get this one.
This feels a lot like valhiem
I dont mind early access games, as it gives you a chance of finding out wether you will like a game or not.

An arachnophobia setting isn't always good*looks nervously at Satisfactory*
I like this
I been waiting on this for a while.
Funny b4 I watched this, I started playing this and that's exact same place my first base/outpost is.
Awesome!!!
cant wait for this. so excited !
Not sure if I like the idea of not being able to swim. Will be playing this later so hopefully like it, it’s been in my wish list forever
You missed half the resources in the beginning and the new armor at the shop.

pls more kage
I'm confused - you melee hoards of zombies but a few moths and you can't sleep? ;)
hmmm the building system and battle feels more like valheim than grounded, looks interesting overall.

sort of reminds me more to zelda the minish cap than grounded h
Yes, finally.
is there first person in this game like Grounded? if so I am 100% sold.
You should come back to this game it's really flushed out since this video has been made.
I'm jealous 😭 gimmie
god why youtube hasnt shown me any of your videos for over a year i dont know why.
I like the RPG aspect of the game but it doesn't really manage to pull off the feeling of being small like Grounded does, but maybe its just me.

games been in creation long before grounded.
So, it's a mix between Valheim and Grounded...
I'm not positive but I think development of this game started before Grounded.
looks like Valheim
So far so Grounded
comment
i hope its not like grounded. grounded had just 5h gametime
All the good game are on pc dev are to stupid to put them on iPad Pro and yes some pc game can run on on iPad
