Still the best teacher in knitting tutorials. Appreciate the transcripts and your clear and concise instructions. You are very good and have taught me everything needed for socks and other knitting designs I would not have thought without your instructions. Thank you! 5 years later still the best!!
This is the best kitchener stitch bind off video I've seen so far. Close enough to see, slow and patient explanation, enough times to really get it. Thanks!
Hands down the best instruction (video or not) on the tubular bind off I've found after seeing more than 2 dozen and following several. Many of these other tutorials call it a tubular bind off but it is just the sewing part, not the tube. I was so confused, but your clear video made it actually very simple. I've just followed your technique on a sweater, and it looks very professional, and also bounces back perfectly after being stretched. I'm so pleased! Thank you so much!
Suzanne, you are a fabulous teacher. I have a difficult time following instructions, so your articulate, patient, detailed videos resonate with me. Many thanks.
Ive tried this so many times with so many different tutorial videos. This was the one that worked for me, so clear and well explained. Thank you so much!! I can finally do a tubular cast off!
This is the best explanation and I’ve looked around! Slow, patient, and enough repetitions that I didn’t have to keep pausing and rewinding. Thank you 🙏 ☺️
I've never been inspired to thank someone on RUclips! I have watched a lot of other videos of this technique. Thank you so much for this video. It's everything I need, nothing I don't. It is so clear and easy to follow. I am so grateful. I was about to abandon the technique and just bind off in pattern, I was so frustrated. 🙏 Thank you! You saved my project!
I have watched at least half a dozen videos on tubular bindoffs……nobody recommends the four rounds of double knitting to help strengthen the structure of the edge. It is a very necessary element to a long lasting cuff. Also your method of joining in the round creates a seamless look which none of the others including so-called experts use. Of course there’s more than one way to accomplish anything but yours is the best way. All your videos are clear, Educational and super helpful. I’m a fan.
You are amazing!! Because of your videos, I have tried so many new things that I used to be afraid of! When I see something in a pattern that I have never done, I immediately look up the technique in your RUclips videos!! You make everything so clear and easy to follow!! Thank so much! Linda
Thank you so much. You are the first person I go to when trying to understand a new method. Your explanations and repeats are great. You must be a teacher through and through. I have knitted for over 20 years, learning from my mother, but I hope to learn from you for many more years.
This was incredibly helpful. I really like the way that you repeated the instructions using the same words over and over. It helped me see/understand the pattern to the stitch.. Thank you.
I watched it through and then put it on again and followed each step. It has made me feel like a professional ... I'm so pleased with how it looks the very first time. Thanks so much. I'm now a subscriber, needless to say.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!! I've never had anyone demonstrate this so clearly - and now I can do it without getting confused. Subscribed with gratitude.
You are seriously the best! I’ve done this tutorial many times with other knitters and can never find the groove. Your tutorials are the best of the best! Thank you
Thank you so much Suzanne. Your instructions and visuals are superb! First time doing this bind-off and it looks very professional thanks to your wonderful tutorial.
This makes it easy which I thought it might be. Not over-explained and the close-up image makes clear the movement you need to get the hang of. Thank you!
Now I understand why I always was unhappy with the way the joining looked. That trick with the stitch markers is just AWESOME! Thank you for another enlightening video~
I've started knitting in lockdown using videos to help me learn. I was sure I would never EVER be able to figure out how to do a tubular bind off, but thanks to your slow and close up demonstration I nailed it on the first try! Thanks so much for your videos
Hello Suzanne. I found some videos about the same technique as this, but yours is the best for me. It helpes me a lot to bind off in a neat way. Thank you.
Thank you for this! I was already confident with the tubular bind off but had never done it in the round before -- now my cardigan cuff looks so pretty and clean, thanks to your great teaching.
Thank you for this excellent video. I'm knitting the Featherweight Cardigan and I used your instructions to bind off my sleeve cuffs. They turned out beautifully because of your clear and concise instructions. Very grateful for instructors like you on the Internet!
Over the last few days I've been referring to Suzanne's videos to try some new techniques on a sweater I'm making. I think this is the 3rd technique I've used and I'm so pleased with how beautiful every new detail looks. I'm so grateful for the all the effort Suzanne makes to provide all this information to knitters. Thanks again Suzanne for ensuring our knitting projects look so beautiful!
Suzanne you are a godsend! Can’t tell you how many times you have helped me with my knitting. Thank you so much for these wonderful tutorials! My favourite virtual teacher 💙
Thank you for making these videos Suzanne! I constantly go back to this specific video, when in the midst of a project. I have it saved as an essential in my WIPs folder, where I save videos of techniques that i will need to use in ym knitting projects. ❤
Thank you so much Suzanne! Your method is the simplest and easiest to follow. Thank you for sharing your extensive knowledge for free. You are an enabler!
Thank you for this!! I made a hat in double knit with tubular cast on, and started a cowl to match it, only to realize I didn't know how to bind off to match the cast on. This video solved that problem!
Hello Suzanne. I’m back for another refresher 😊 This takes some patience but the outcome is so worth it. I use it for kids sweater cuffs/bottoms. Nice and stretchy. I’ve used so it many times, I now know how to read my knitting so I can put it down for breaks (for 200+ stitches)😅 Thanks again.
I like the pretty finish and the technique has given the tubular bind off a very neat, professional look. Thank you for the close up tutorial and thank you for sharing.
Thank you Suzanne. I appreciate the clear videography and your precise explanations. It is clear to me that you love to knit. I am making my first sweater right now. your video about avoiding holes on the underarm was very helpful.
hello from Italy, dear Suzanne thank you very much for your fantastic tutorial. I have looked at several but yours is the best. I send you a virtual hug and we hope that this bad period will be resolved quickly. best regards.
Great video, as always! I have messed up more than one project having to bind off like this, and I think next time will be different now. Thanks so much! 😊
Thank you very much for this lovely clear video. I had just done a bind off edge like this from waste yarn at the top of a fingerless mitt, then the waste yarn on the second got loose and tangled so I had to pick up the stitches on DPNs. I was wondering how to translate my regular method when I decided to check RUclips for a video. As I subscribe to your site this popped up straight away, I watched it through then started it from row again again so that I could follow along. Absolutely brilliant, 2nd mitt finished and matches the other. Your voice is so soothing too all my stress disappeared. Thank you again.
Very clear instructions! I did a bind off using a different set of instructions but it didn't say how to finish the round on the sleeve; the pattern seemed to call for only three set up rounds, but that left me starting on the "wrong" stitch. I'm going to go back and pick out the bind off and tink back the set up rounds, as well as a few rounds of ribbing. Then I'll rejoin a bit more yarn so I don't run out, and try your method so I have a much more tidy sleeve. Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing. Invaluable skill sharing. I just watched and followed your tutorial to finish the bottom and sleeve hems for a jumper. Thank you again 🇦🇺❤
Thand you Suzanne! This is a wonderful tutorial that actually makes tubular BO easy. The best video I’ve seen on this subject. And if you’re lazy (and I often am) it is only slightly more fiddly to do the BO on just one needle.
Thank you for sharing your skill. I saw many this kinds of videos but this is the most understandable. Especially the idea of the last part is wonderful and useful. It really helped me a lot!!!
I am still a reasonably new knitter and I’m so glad I discovered this video a few months ago. This BO seemed so hard at first. But now that I’ve done it several times it just flies off the needles! Still need you to tell me the order of the steps but it takes me half the time now. =)
Absolutely brilliant. I wish I had seen this an hour ago. I'll use this for he next top down sweater. I can't wait to see what else you have here on you tube!
Great demonstration! I’ve looked at so many Italian bind off methods & been confused but your demonstration was so clear & easy to follow. Thank you 😊
