Great video! We will have more scale options available in the coming weeks/months from Titanium, Brass, Copper, Carbon Fiber, and various G-10 colors. I've noticed in the comments; the scale screws are meant for easily swapability as to not disassemble the entire knife. I believe the scales have predrilled holes for those that want to swap their clip side, and the backspacer has a little hidden surprise as well. Glad you're enjoying it!
Appreciate it! That's awesome to know and I'm excited for the new scales to drop! Great feature of swapping scales, no need for disassembling the whole knife🙂 Now I'm curious to see what the backspacer has to offer! I'm definitely enjoying this knife and if you ever have any extra on hand, let me know😎🤜🤛
Absolutely love these, I got the bigger one in the black drop point. Fantastic all around, would highly recommend. The materials and price with that design made by REATE is ridiculous, it's awesome. I might get a back up or two.
I bought one also received it last week ,it became my new fave. The quality and build are excellent! As soon I saw it on WMK i purchased it because i knew they would be gone quickly..
Lol thanks for lifting that second ribbon tab, I would’ve never known there was a cleaning cloth and stickers underneath. I thought that tab was to help open the box lid🤦♂️
Awesome! I'm glad you're enjoying it and it's one I highly recommend for anyone! I just ordered the T.A.K. and I can't wait to get it in hand! I'll eventually have all three😉
You know, I’m a huge Chaves fan, have been ever since I saw my first Redención tanto, with 16 of their knives, all in M390. But what’s fairly irritating to me is that I paid an average of $350 for those (TAK’s were $240 in Ti and G10, and the kickstop flippers were $440, a bunch more models were $375), half of them all in plain black G10, and here for $200-$300 less you’re getting Elmax and micarta. (?) Yeah, targeting a new market niche got it, and I know it’s not a full ti framelock, but I’m still feeling a little bent over, especially as they’re going to be offering ti and colored G10 cover options on these models. Just saying. BUT, I appreciate the first look, or maybe not because now I’m compelled to get a few of these LOL! 🙄. Elmax is a great steel choice, and even at full MSRP (which I think is $185) these are a bargain.
That's understandable but the ones you mentioned are definitely better materials(hopefully those will come down to a more reasonable price) but I get it. I gotta say, this blue label quality is insanely good for the price and would definitely recommend picking one of each up!🙂🤜🤛
Cool knife i love Chaves knives I have a 229 kickstop I absolutely love with a micarta show side in the drop point. I have been searching for someone to make me scales for my burg blades Sweeney is this something you could do for me?
I guess some folks didn’t like it setup that way so they went with the more PC option by default. All my original framelock Ti Chaves came with the skull installed and the other “banana” clip as an extra. Either way it’s quick to change out.
Then buy the "Non street", its bigger and only 12 bucks more, Liner lock is a welcome change over the frame lock (Fingers dont mess with the detent like the frame lock), and YES there is the option for lefties...the back of the scales are predrilled (pilot holes) for the screws. They did everything right.
@flashgordon6238 pretty sure he means the 229 is the 3.5" version bigger one then the street is 3" i think and the T.A.K. is 2.75" i have the original tak it's thicker with titanium and m390 but I'll probably pick up a 229 blue label but hearing there is other options coming out in the weeks/months from chaves i might wait or shit maybe buy 1 now and one later lol

Where ?
I love me some Elmax!
Me too!🙂🤜🤛
I’m digging these more affordable Chavez knives. Cool idea.
Me too! I need the whole set! 😎

Nice! I'll definitely be getting the full size soon! Glad to hear you're enjoying it! 🤜🤛
Yes, just got mine in the mail yesterday. Absolutely love it!
Black blade and hardware with copper scales would be excellent 🔥
I agree!
I bought one also received it last week ,it became my new fave. The quality and build are excellent! As soon I saw it on WMK i purchased it because i knew they would be gone quickly..
Nice! That's exactly what I did😂
I'll be patiently waiting for the next drop😎
I have the eikonic version of the chaves rck9 and love it for those who are even more budgety. 😂
Sweet!
I need to pick one of those up too!🙂
Lol thanks for lifting that second ribbon tab, I would’ve never known there was a cleaning cloth and stickers underneath. I thought that tab was to help open the box lid🤦♂️
Not a problem, I always check the entire box😂
I've done that many times in the past, no worries 🤜🤛
Just got the red G10 from Chaves, amazing knife great value!
@@diducthesizeoftahtchicken Is it full red? I see it leaning blood orange from the pics, but you let me know. Thanks
Sweet! The red looks good, need me one in red🙂
I ordered the Tanto.
Thanx for the video
Nice and no problem! 🤜🤛
Those screws allow you to take off the scales without taking apart the knife because the pivot screw doesn't need to be removed to do that.
Appreciate the heads up, I didn't even notice that.🤜🤛
I saw your video the other day and ordered the red redencion 229. Got it today and liked it so much i just ordered another one
Awesome!
I'm glad you're enjoying it and it's one I highly recommend for anyone!
I just ordered the T.A.K. and I can't wait to get it in hand!
I'll eventually have all three😉
Very nice! I’m surprised the clip is steel tho. Great part of being a scale maker, u can buy the budget version and make some sick scales for it 🤜🤛
I was surprised too but it's done very well!
Now, what material to use for Custom Scales🤔😂😂
Nice one. These look great.
Love it!🤜🤛
The scales almost look like snake skin, pretty dope
😎🤜🤛
It needs some fancy blue scales, with some shine to it.
We'll see what I can do😎
That would be sick in dark cocobolo.
That would be interesting, I'll see what I can do🙂
Where did you get your tool you used for the pocket clip
Here you go!

Nice! That's a great model!
It's definitely possible, once my books open back up we can make it happen!
@KnathansKnives awesome how will I know when your books are open?
@vmacrina0683 I'll announce on my channel when they do🙂
Ws across the board, except for the fact that it doesn't come with the skull clip installed out of the box
😂😂I'm with you on that! 😎

How is the detent?
Excellent! Hopefully they're all dialed in like this one🙂
Redencion is also on my grail list. This one looks OK, but those screws need to go. Is the jimping as aggressive as it looks?
It's definitely one I'd highly recommend!
The jimping is aggressive but in a good way🙂
Dang, too small, non-flush hardware, liner lock, no option to mount the clip on the other scale. It's a pass for me.
Well, if you ever get a chance to get it in hand, you might change your mind😎

@@pressrolls Looked through 132 of their models, did not find one called "Non street"... Got a link?
