- Personally I have been drifting for 20 years and I have never had a weekend so eye opening. I have spent weekends swapping engines multiple times, showed up at events where if we don't win we don't have money to go to the next round, totaled out my car and crashed or blown up someone else's car, trailer fires, trucks blowing up, etc etc. But I have never had a weekend where drifting has been so many different feelings in one weekend. The weather, the drama, the team, the car, the competitors, and many other things just didn't jive well this weekend and I mostly blame myself for that. I care and love so much about drifting that sometimes I just walked away from the event not understanding what even happened. Im selfishly glad Adam won the event because it's really great to see that best driver on that day actually won. It's actually more rare than you think for this to happen with how complicated this sport has become. Congrats to Adam and the team for making it a Three Peat. I can't wait to experience St. Louis as I have a much different mindset of what Formula Drift is now.

Gotta give it to Adam. It was the first time I've ever seen him so "relaxed" behind the wheel of an RTR. He killed it! As for the flappy bonnet thing. I think it would be worse if you'd be chasing someone lost their bumper and it was flapping behind the car. But that's my inexperienced opinion. Well done to all the boys at RTR.
My guess it has to be because of his event he had at the track previously, he was also driving a n/a car albeit differnt power numbers and English Town is his "home track" so to speak.
THIS COMMENT!!!! I commented on Adam’s vlog saying that was why he won, he seemed so happy and was having fun while driving which is very important in my eyes and i think this was a key for him winning.

Loved seeing you and Deane getting hyped about Adam's top 32 lead run. That thing was a heater and IMO was one of the best lead runs of the night. Could tell he was on one for sure.
It’s nice to see every single RTR absolutely shredding this season, just goes to show y’all have a really good crew of people on the team, been an amazing season so far! Now we need Deane to win the next event an have the craziest 4 in a row RTR wins.
A ful RTR 4 win in a row sweep will break history in fd and drifting in general, racing events in general and in Ford history too of course with Mustangs even. Seriously this will be insane if it happens, even tho 3 wins in a row already is just as insane.

I was kind of surprised you and Adam didn't go to an OMT. And if i could don my tinfoil hat for a second, i felt like your Stuke drama may have been a decider.
Yeah some of the battles weren’t the cleanest, but you can’t deny that Adam fought his way to the win. I feel like at some events guys make it to the top 4 with like one actual battle
I wish there was a rule that if you’re in a team you can veto your top 32 battle and essentially drop a position in qualifying to switch bracket sides.
By qualifying order you’re picking a harder battle.
Fans want to see teams progress through comps. Sucked when Deane and Piotr meet straightway, sucks when the RTR’s go out when they all can make the final 4. Plus it’s an extra incentive for more teams and more factory support if you remove some of the likelihood of losing half your entry in top 32.

Thanks, Chelsea, Even though it was a crappy weekend, it was great to see the support you gave Adam. As for the other, I hope they realize they just opened the floodgates on loose bumpers and panels now becoming a distraction.
RTR as a whole team is doing great. I think you as the lead driver and your input along with Vaughn's leadership with Adam has brought him to this level to finally win in FD.
What's crazy is with these in car views, it just puts it into perspective how difficult it is to know exactly where your rear bumper is in proximity to the wall .. takes a whole lot of practice and skill
your real life field of view is larger than the cameras and u can move ur head a lot so its hard to really tell from footage how it is to drive, but i agree none the less

Not only is Chelsea the best drifter in the world, he’s the best team mate too. It’s so rad that he’s been LZ’s biggest supporter since the win.
Kind of happy to see Chelsea leave out the drama with Stuke, and call it a learning experience. I do think it was a bitch move on Stuke’s part but imo the track cleared up that drama. Overall, a great event to watch and love all the RTR boys getting the wins!

What rule?
There’s a rule that basically states that if somebodies hood comes loose the competitors can cal for a OMT because it affects the quality of the battle. Stuka was obviously beat in that battle and his car was actually flinging bumper at Chelsea while Chelsea was chasing but in the end style called a rebatable because Chelsea’s hood came loose (barely). The rule was alway meant to be for the driver who’s hood came loose to be able to rebatable instead of being dqed because they couldn’t see but style used it as an excuse to try to make up for him being beaten fairly even tho his hood didn’t pop Chelsea’s did and it barely even popped. A bunch of drama on the grid ensued including Chelsea telling Stuke’s team to “pack their shit in the trailer” which I think would be the coolest FD merch ever made because the very next run Stuke crashed anyway while Chelsea left him in the dust. Stuke’s a pussy.

after watching Adams and Chelsea's battle for the 10th time it understand why judges gave it to Adam, all thou at first for a long time i felt like Chelsea had it.
It was kinda obvious, but the judge they got to explain it, did not explain it at all, saying that Adam was way deeper on OZ2. I was like "Wtf are you talking about?? Just say that Chelsea hit his front wheel!". It's like he was nervous or something
Should've been a OMT with LZ. I honestly don't like the fact betting is now involved in a judged sport. That's a massive conflict of interest IMO.
why? denofa went in too hot on the chase and hit him out of oz2? no reason for a omt after a clean chase form adam.
it was 50/50 whether they'd call it OMT given the "mistakes" from both of them but it was really going to come down to whether or not they were going to say Adam going off was his fault or if it was caused by Chelsea's line into outer zone 2, stuff happens. either way it was an exciting match up but also unlucky that all 3 of them were on the right side of the bracket.

FD needs to do a hard look at the venues they run. Keep Atlanta, Utah(theres a better line if they put an outter before the last outter zone for big sweeping transitions), Irwindale and Long Beach. Throw the rest in the trash. There’s plenty of road courses that make faster action than lame tracks like Englishtown. It would be exciting if it were 2008.
Englishtown has a road course, you could make the track in the arena better, they did purpose convert it for drifting and it’s good for spectators but yeah, fig 8’s are boring. They don’t use them at the stadium events in DMEC.

Quali run - green g-lights right after beginning of OZ2. Lead re-run with Stuke - red g-lights whole beginning OZ2 till dragstrip pavement. Stuke's team made bad call about protest - for sure. But this lead was for me even "worse" when we are talking about sportsmanship...
