- This weekend was the LZ Invitational, or as I was jokingly calling it the YT Drift Olympics. This event is a great way to get everyone together and enjoy drifting. Its a mix of guys that YT and drift, and drifters that occasionally YT haha. Your boy LZ and his crew killed themselves for 2 weeks or more getting this event ready, so check it out!

I loved that magic trick at the line. I laughed so hard watching live. That whole 3 days of everyone there just being together at the compound made for some excellent content, the rest of thee weekend was just as enjoyable as the event itself. great driving from everyone, but Collete stole the show! I was so impressed with her driving this weekend!
That fox body project is easily one of my all time favourites on the internet. You literally created USDM S13 that never was. I see that development becoming an off the shelf package in the near future. Good luck in '23 season and Keep up the good work!

Yer I can agree with you on that as he dose do comp stuff when given the opportunity and dont get me wrong he used to do alot of competitions but he dose honestly only do it for the love and fun of the sport now more than the competitiveness

Drifting has to be one of my favorite racing competitions because of Being one of the only motorsports where you can Bang the rev limiter on any car that long

One day, I'd love to see a little video about rear setup with a solid axle rear end. I'm trying to get my head around moving the 4 link arms for anti squat and such.

Dive down a dirt late model/modified rabbit hole. There's a ton of articles about it to be found. You'll have to think about how to transfer some of the knowledge to drifting, just cause all of it is geared towards getting the car to turn left, but the general concepts about gaining tire load will be close to the same

i think panhard bars are key with live rear axle to even make it similar to irs in regards to wheelhop etc

I love Chelsea. He is the most consistent good driver. My take away from this is while that fox body is a good drift car. It almost wasn’t in the same class as the other crazy set up cars other drivers had for this event
The banter and chat with luke is great I like to see more of that breaking down a lap and just busting each other's balls
That's such a great looking car. I was a fan of the turbo 4 cylinder when Ford brought them back, just never understood why people would get the v6 when the turbo made more power and got better milage.
Single turbo the v6 is awsome
I would love to see a drift series with all the exact same cars/tires so it comes down to driver. Kind of like the freedom 500 💁♂️

Been watching a lot of vids from different creators on this event and it seems like the only ones calling stuff out are Chelsea, Taylor, and Luke. Even at a disadvantage they all did well, sucks that Taylor ran out of tires but I feel like he's never got enough tires at every event lol. That vette is lookin rad as hell though, nice to see it working well for him.

What do I have to do to get a signed poster of the Foxbody?
Watching this reminds me how good it is to live in Florida as a professional drift driver, where you can keep practicing throughout the entire winter, instead of sitting it out like people do in colder states or countries. Sure in northern states you can do street drifting in the snow but that sort of practice doesn't really translate well to high grip scenarios. I get why chelsea made the move to Florida. The car scene is great, there are plenty of tracks and events and the weather is nice and warm all year round.

@@chelseadenofa I've never been so I don't know what you mean by that. What's wrong about the scene and are there better facilities around Portland than there are around Florida? In reality yes, there seems to only be 3 tracks within reasonable distance of Orlando - OSW, Freedom Factory and Showtime Speedway, all of which are ovals. Not a single proper roadcourse. Pat's Acres and Spirit Peaks Raceway close to Portland look better for drifting.

OOOOOOF stretched MCL life. I know that deal. Blew my knee out landing wrong from a 15ft drop. Landed at a slight angle coming off a rock wall and it just buckled inward. Still have issues; never saw a doctor, gots me a hinged brace too tho. The worst part is how it's really easy to reinjure once it's stretched and ain't nobody got the time or patience to have surgery and stay off it for 6-8 weeks.

He used to compete over this way in XDC, my first seeing and meeting him was hyperfest xdc event at summit, he was in his e46 back then, hope he does some fun events like that at summit or dominion that would be sick!

You probably already know this, but they have made the 8.8 solid axles have camber by cutting and welding... also they manufacturer axle ends with interchangeable camber plates and toe plates for solid axles

@@chelseadenofa I guess I could look it up, but can you option camber and toe adjustability when getting a quick change, although gearing changes will probably help you more than rear camber and toe, because you are such a good driver ( not being a smart ass) obviously...
but I know you like adjustability and having a superior chassis setup... but camber and toe is a lesser known option for solid differential owners,
I mean another option is that the new edge (cobra) irs, which is a bolt in ordeal i believe,
it was nice of ford to have the same front and rear suspension from 79-04 giving the fox guys factory big brakes, 5 lugs, rear disk, irs option and cobra front lower control arms from the newer cars transferable to the fox body cars,
I can't remember the company, but someone recently made a bolt in sla front suspension for the "fox" chassis 79-04 probably more for track guys not drifters tho

I love the fox body. Seems to take full advantage of the 265 rule Adam implemented. I can only assume it's an independent rear suspension maybe out of a cobra? Can anyone confirm?
It's a solid axle, he talked about not having camber adjustability which was causing him to wear through his LR way faster than the RR
Thanks, I figured with his knowledge of chassis setup, it would have independent rear. It's awesome knowing its still a live axle. It's impressive how good this car is with grip and power levels he has. I know he makes it look easy, but wonder how easy the car is for someone who isn't FD level.
@@chuktang4683 Solid axle is a lot more stable than IRS cause you don't have to deal with a million joints and bushings but yeah you lose some adjustability. He's got shims in it to give some camber and toe so it's not a stock alignment but it seems that he makes up for the lack of adjustability just by being a crazy good driver.

Could it possibly be fuel slosh? Pump sucking in air and making the ecu freak out? Would make sense why it was ramping up later in the day if you weren’t constantly adding fuel.
Nah the fuel pressure is steady at 82-84psi the entire time. It’s a limitation issue.

Pressure in the system may be solid. But maybe you have local losses or local air scavenges called "fuel cavitation" occuring.
