It doesn't currently support Byron, but this could be added if sponsored. It also depends on which wallet you used to generate the seed in the first place. Which wallet software did you use?

Just use all the defaults (so no extera aarguments with an address from a supported coin and it should work fine. If it doesn't then either the address isn't from that wallet or you have additional issues with your seed beyond the two missing words.
Hello! The btcrecover haven’t been able to find the word that is missing from the 24 word seed phrase. I’ve gone through installation process multiple times now and the btc recovery seems to be working but the the seed is not found. The recovery is for a terra wallet btw.. As the seedrecovery start to search, the first 3 phases are pretty much skipped. Then it starts to count passwords and ultimately show nothing. Wondering what I might have done wrong. Here is a chalange for a smart guy. I sent chainlink from one exchange to another but at the time of sending, I chose the wrong chain. Instead of erc I chose bsc. Now the found at sitting at bscscan. I do not have the private key from both exchanges becuase they don't share that. How can I get my founds back at source exchange or destination exchange.

Hi, yesterday my ledger account was accessed and 98% of my bitcoin was stolen it was transferred to 3 wallets which I can see still hold my bitcoin. Can you please tell me what I can do next, is there a website to tell me if the wallets or any wallets they'll toward to are owned by an exchange so I can then contact them with the police report and get it frozen ? Any advice is much appreciated it's my daughter's money I put aside for her and don't have much more to give her unfortunately
You can only make educated guesses about addresses that belong to exchanges, particularly with things like Bitcoin. (It's far easier for things like Eth)

It started when I tried to copy my Evmos testnet wallet address to paste in the faucet address to get tokens by every time I try to copy the address from metamask, it will still bring a different address and not the Evmos address. It has been repeatedly pasting the same address after copying for all the wallets that I have in my metamask since I noticed the problem. It has been showing and copying the same Avalanche wallet for all the tokens that I have in my metamask wallet. Any idea on how this can be solved?

Would the BTCRecover be an option? Also, another question I have the seed phrase for the MM and Trezor. Which one would likly have the address tired to it?
Trezor enables passphrase by default so it's easy for newbies to accidentally enable it... You can use BTCRecover in an attempt to recover what the passphrase is, as long as you have some idea to of where to start in terms of possible passphrases. Basically the funds should be on the seed associated with your Trezor.
Hello and thank you for posting these videos. Can you please help me with my issue? I had terrible hardware connection issues with my Ledger Nano S and ended up resetting the seed phrase 3 times (all 100% clearly written on a physical card) and never was able to get past Ledger Live authenticity check (because the device kept losing its physical connection to the micro USB). Haven't used the Nano S since 2017 so I believe the firmware was outdated too during these resets (I believe reading through forums that this may be an issue). I purchased and attempted to access my funds through a Nano X using my 3rd seed phrase. The initial setup was successful but after I downloaded the respective apps, it showed a $0 balance. How did you pull that off? Did you initiate the transaction from a bridge or just copy/paste the address from a block explorer? If you sent funds directly to a null address then you have caused an unrecoverable loss.
I know this is an older video but I am desperate, I had taken 1002 sol tokens out of my account on coinex exchange and thought I was sending them to my ledger wallet. turns out some of the letters in the address was wrong. i thought it was Smt etc but the letters for the address were actually Srnt the small rn looked like an M to me . is there any way to get the sol tokens back. I do not think the address I provided was an actual address, I am about to be evicted from my home, I need these funds to avoid being homeless is it possible to do?
If the address you entered was invalid, then the transaction should have failed. (Though how good the enforcement of this type of error checking is varies dramatically, especially for more obscure alts like Solana) If the transaction succeeded and you can see the funds sitting there on a block explorer, but it the address was from a typo, then there is likely not even a corresponding private key in existence to access the funds. (So they would therefore be unrecoverable and I'm sorry for your loss) The learning here is 1) Stick to chains like Bitcoin that actually prevent this kind of mistake due to strong address checksums 2) copy\paste addresses, don't write them by hand 3) Always send a small test TX fist

Does the address match what you are seeing on ronin wallet for the first account? (If not then you are likely using the wrong seed, or aren't using the first account and need to also add the next accounts)
Sent large amount from defi wallet to crypto app but never came like the hundreds of transfers before that worked. Blockchain has it going to similar address than I normally use. I've never used this address and hit link button to copy/paste address every time. Held desk won't even respond.
Importing wallet using seed phrases will have different token addresses. In that case our token will not be visible in newly imported app. So this means to access my tokens i can use my seed phrase with same wallet. So it means my keys not my coins but my keys wallets coins.

Hello Sir, Good news! BTC Recover helped me verify my seed phrase after finding my pass phrase that I thought I lost. BTCRecover video was helpful. The bad news, I already reset (recovery, not factory reset) my Ledger Nano S and it gave me a new passphrase and I entered a seed phrase (not to the original due putting in a wrong word / thinking my Ledger will reject the wrong word). Would I need to reset/recover mode my ledger and enter in my original passphrase? I'm not sure where to go from here..

Hi, I recently purchased a trezor wallet. I set it up until the point that I skipped the recovery for seed phrase, so I didn’t set it up completely and I connect it to my metamask. All good until the point that I decided to do the recovery, but for that I had to wipe my memory and so I did, after that I though that I would had the same old addresses but apparently I don’t, I have a bunch of empty address. @@CryptoGuide first when I bought it, I set it up to my laptop, I skipped the part of setting a backup. I connected my metamask wallet to the trezor, so far so good, I had my old address without a seed phrase. So i decided to set it up into my pc but this time I would do the back up, if I’m not wrong, you have to wipe your “memory” even though I didn’t have any seed phrase, I did this and I set it up normally on my pc. I would have a seed phrase and I connect it to my pc metamask and I noticed that It would have a different metamask address to the laptop so I found it strange, I tried to send some tokens in my laptop but I couldn’t, so I deleted the extension and redownload it again and connect my trezor but with seed this time and I noticed that it would have the same address to my pc. So I tried wiping my trezor memory with seed phrase to try to see if I would go back to my old addresses but apparently it’s lost… I still have my old address direction though..
If you wiped without a working breakup this is unrecoverable. It is not possible to have the Trezor return to its previous wallet without the recovery seed. Simply having the address doesn't help. I'm sorry for your loss.

Same seed = same address... If you just imported the seed over the top and are using brave/chrome then you could extract the vault from the previous version of your wallet. (And then try to recover the password)

Hi , My problem is my default Trezor ronin address replaced by new address from Eth trezor address on the list . i used standard wallet . now i can't find the default address inside trezor wallet.
If you are getting a different address it is because you either 1) added a passphrase 2) are using a Trezor with a different seed 3) are looking at the testnet address on one of the wallets. You need to work out what you did to mess it up and then you can recover the funds.

If the funds are at your address on the eth chain (easy to verify with a block explorer) then that will work. Otherwise it has nothing to do with your issue.

You likely just sent on the wrong chain and it is likely a straightforward recovery. (Coinbase wallet let's you switch between things like Eth and Binance smart chain)

Where exactly did you get the address from that you sent the funds to? (Which wallet, app, exchange or website) Or did you just make a typo in the address?
I had trust wallet I was trying to purchase safe moon through my wallet but I had to send money to bnc once I did I thought I was sending to safemoon but it went somewhere else I can see it and the transaction is there I see the money go up and down it says like I purchase 2 bnc

It's not stuck, it's on the BSC network at the deposit address you sent it to... (Which is held by Kraken) If they won't recover it for you then that's it... You are SOL

One thing I don’t understand is that I never created a passphrase! N now that I want to remove funds from my trezor, I can’t. Also I factory reset my exodus wallet with my 12 phrase word and now my trezor wallet that was on exodus is gone!!!
Trezor has enabled passphrase by default for the last two years, so you likely set one without realising it. Have you tried using your PIN as the passphrase?

If you use a different passphrase between the two you will get different addresses. It's also possible that with something like Bitcoin, you chose a different account type on Trezor Suite. (They will be the same for stuff like Eth)

It's a straightforward recovery, you just need to follow the same process in my other videos that look at recovery from Binance Smart Chain.

Haven't really looked at it. When you say an address vanished, do you see it if you restore the seed in something like Metamask?

Nano X supports Xdc just fine, just use the Ledger with MyCrypto and the XDC app.

Hello, looking for help recovering a "Trust wallet multi coin wallet" keep getting seed not found error. Only two missing words in seed phrase.
Is there a certain route for a multi coin wallet I should use?
Just use all the defaults (so no extera aarguments with an address from a supported coin and it should work fine.
If it doesn't then either the address isn't from that wallet or you have additional issues with your seed beyond the two missing words.

The btcrecover haven’t been able to find the word that is missing from the 24 word seed phrase. I’ve gone through installation process multiple times now and the btc recovery seems to be working but the the seed is not found. The recovery is for a terra wallet btw..
As the seedrecovery start to search, the first 3 phases are pretty much skipped. Then it starts to count passwords and ultimately show nothing.
Wondering what I might have done wrong.

At the start of the recovery process you need to use the buttons to select to enter your 12 words, not 24...

Here is a chalange for a smart guy. I sent chainlink from one exchange to another but at the time of sending, I chose the wrong chain. Instead of erc I chose bsc. Now the found at sitting at bscscan. I do not have the private key from both exchanges becuase they don't share that. How can I get my founds back at source exchange or destination exchange.

You just need to select that you want to restore a 12 word seed, rather than selecting that you want to restore a 24 word seed...
Hi, yesterday my ledger account was accessed and 98% of my bitcoin was stolen it was transferred to 3 wallets which I can see still hold my bitcoin. You can only make educated guesses about addresses that belong to exchanges, particularly with things like Bitcoin. (It's far easier for things like Eth)

It started when I tried to copy my Evmos testnet wallet address to paste in the faucet address to get tokens by every time I try to copy the address from metamask, it will still bring a different address and not the Evmos address. It has been repeatedly pasting the same address after copying for all the wallets that I have in my metamask since I noticed the problem. Sounds like you have clipboard malware that is swapping the address for one belonging to a scammer.

Trezor enables passphrase by default so it's easy for newbies to accidentally enable it... You can use BTCRecover in an attempt to recover what the passphrase is, as long as you have some idea to of where to start in terms of possible passphrases. Basically the funds should be on the seed associated with your Trezor.

Can you please help me with my issue? I had terrible hardware connection issues with my Ledger Nano S and ended up resetting the seed phrase 3 times (all 100% clearly written on a physical card) and never was able to get past Ledger Live authenticity check (because the device kept losing its physical connection to the micro USB). Haven't used the Nano S since 2017 so I believe the firmware was outdated too during these resets (I believe reading through forums that this may be an issue). I purchased and attempted to access my funds through a Nano X using my 3rd seed phrase. The initial setup was successful but after I downloaded the respective apps, it showed a $0 balance.
Would you be able to steer me in the right direction?

How did you pull that off? Did you initiate the transaction from a bridge or just copy/paste the address from a block explorer?
If you sent funds directly to a null address then you have caused an unrecoverable loss.

I know this is an older video but I am desperate, I had taken 1002 sol tokens out of my account on coinex exchange and thought I was sending them to my ledger wallet. turns out some of the letters in the address was wrong. i thought it was Smt etc but the letters for the address were actually Srnt the small rn looked like an M to me . is there any way to get the sol tokens back. I do not think the address I provided was an actual address, I am about to be evicted from my home, I need these funds to avoid being homeless is it possible to do?
If the address you entered was invalid, then the transaction should have failed. (Though how good the enforcement of this type of error checking is varies dramatically, especially for more obscure alts like Solana)
If the transaction succeeded and you can see the funds sitting there on a block explorer, but it the address was from a typo, then there is likely not even a corresponding private key in existence to access the funds. (So they would therefore be unrecoverable and I'm sorry for your loss)
The learning here is
1) Stick to chains like Bitcoin that actually prevent this kind of mistake due to strong address checksums
2) copy\paste addresses, don't write them by hand
3) Always send a small test TX fist

Unfortunately Abra doesn't follow standards with their seed phrase. This means that these funds are lost unless they share information about how they do address derivation...

Does the address match what you are seeing on ronin wallet for the first account? (If not then you are likely using the wrong seed, or aren't using the first account and need to also add the next accounts)

Sent large amount from defi wallet to crypto app but never came like the hundreds of transfers before that worked. Blockchain has it going to similar address than I normally use. I've never used this address and hit link button to copy/paste address every time. Held desk won't even respond.

Importing wallet using seed phrases will have different token addresses. In that case our token will not be visible in newly imported app. So this means to access my tokens i can use my seed phrase with same wallet. So it means my keys not my coins but my keys wallets coins.
What does this even mean? The same seed+passphrase will always give the same address.

Exodus doesn't follow standards for Cardano, so try Yoroi.

Good news! BTC Recover helped me verify my seed phrase after finding my pass phrase that I thought I lost. BTCRecover video was helpful.
The bad news, I already reset (recovery, not factory reset) my Ledger Nano S and it gave me a new passphrase and I entered a seed phrase (not to the original due putting in a wrong word / thinking my Ledger will reject the wrong word).
Would I need to reset/recover mode my ledger and enter in my original passphrase? I'm not sure where to go from here..

Hi, I recently purchased a trezor wallet. I set it up until the point that I skipped the recovery for seed phrase, so I didn’t set it up completely and I connect it to my metamask. All good until the point that I decided to do the recovery, but for that I had to wipe my memory and so I did, after that I though that I would had the same old addresses but apparently I don’t, I have a bunch of empty address. Are you saying that you never actually did a backup of the original seed phrase? If so then unfortunately you have caused an unrecoverable loss.
@@CryptoGuide first when I bought it, I set it up to my laptop, I skipped the part of setting a backup. I connected my metamask wallet to the trezor, so far so good, I had my old address without a seed phrase. So i decided to set it up into my pc but this time I would do the back up, if I’m not wrong, you have to wipe your “memory” even though I didn’t have any seed phrase, I did this and I set it up normally on my pc. I would have a seed phrase and I connect it to my pc metamask and I noticed that It would have a different metamask address to the laptop so I found it strange, I tried to send some tokens in my laptop but I couldn’t, so I deleted the extension and redownload it again and connect my trezor but with seed this time and I noticed that it would have the same address to my pc. So I tried wiping my trezor memory with seed phrase to try to see if I would go back to my old addresses but apparently it’s lost… I still have my old address direction though..
If you wiped without a working breakup this is unrecoverable. It is not possible to have the Trezor return to its previous wallet without the recovery seed. Simply having the address doesn't help.

You might just have a typo in your seed, you can give BTCRecover a try.
@@CryptoGuide no typo, i did a lock to change the password, and i put the right phrases and it generated a different password.
Same seed = same address... If you just imported the seed over the top and are using brave/chrome then you could extract the vault from the previous version of your wallet. (And then try to recover the password)

Yea it's always a typo in seed or using the wrong seed. Just use BTCRecover and recover your previous vault.

If you are getting a different address it is because you either 1) added a passphrase 2) are using a Trezor with a different seed 3) are looking at the testnet address on one of the wallets.
You need to work out what you did to mess it up and then you can recover the funds.

If the funds are at your address on the eth chain (easy to verify with a block explorer) then that will work. Otherwise it has nothing to do with your issue.

You will need to give BTCRecover a go, just run it with all the defaults

Your only option is to work out where you got the address from, contact the owner and ask that they return the funds.

You likely just sent on the wrong chain and it is likely a straightforward recovery. (Coinbase wallet let's you switch between things like Eth and Binance smart chain)

@CryptoGuide so I withdraw shib coin was going to deposit to kraken but deposit the coin via Binance Smart Chain which is not supported by Kraken and now the coin is stuck in BSC
Unfortunately since you sent the funds to a custodial wallet/exchange, your only option is to contact their support and hope that they help you.
@CryptoGuide they said they couldn't help and there's a way to get it from bscScan, but it's a long way process. Both wallets where I withdrew and deposited is mine. I just need to get it from where it got stuck
It's not stuck, it's on the BSC network at the deposit address you sent it to... (Which is held by Kraken) If they won't recover it for you then that's it... You are SOL

From SLP to WETH I using ronin block explore, I just copying the WETH address for transfering of SLP, then my SLP balance came to 0 bal. If you sent funds directly to a smart contract then you have caused an unrecoverable loss.

One thing I don’t understand is that I never created a passphrase! N now that I want to remove funds from my trezor, I can’t. Also I factory reset my exodus wallet with my 12 phrase word and now my trezor wallet that was on exodus is gone!!!
Trezor has enabled passphrase by default for the last two years, so you likely set one without realising it. Have you tried using your PIN as the passphrase?

If you use a different passphrase between the two you will get different addresses. It's also possible that with something like Bitcoin, you chose a different account type on Trezor Suite. (They will be the same for stuff like Eth)
