I only watched crazy stupid love, and love it
YES
Literally Me, which will be a movie one day, featuring the top literally me actors, like an Expendables/Avengers, collection of them, just being literally us.
Stay is the one, most folks haven’t seen, that I usually mention. Even though I saw what was happening, with the plot, it just has some beautiful shots, while feeling like an alternate universe. It’s a simple concept, that is done very well.
Born too late to explore earth. Born too early to explore space. Born at the exact right time to experience Ryan Gosling's legacy unfold before my eyes.

His comedic timing is so underrated, its a unique talent not every comedian has, but Ryan does have it.
Well said, I think so to now that you pointed it out!
Thanks for the compliment.
You're mistaken. Gosling can't be you, because he's literally me.
But he's me?
This is proof Ryan Gosling is the pioneer of singularity concept.
he’s all of us
Can someone explain the "He's me" meme when it comes to Ryan Gosling? I'm dying to know what reference it's from.
When Ryan Gosling (me) said "I drive" in Drive (2011), I really felt that.

La La Land will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart. my celebrity look alike has always been Emma Stone, and my husband's has always been Ryan Gosling lol! when we saw it together when we were first dating it became such an important movie for us ❤

@@mummyjohn
In online discussions of film & TV, there are a few characters who, when mentioned, you can usually find a few posts in response that read something like, "He's literally me", or, "He's just like me fr". The characters are typically outcasts in some way, shape, or form, and suffer from internal conflicts, like loneliness, a lack of meaning or purpose in their lives, and depression. Think of the Driver, Patrick Bateman, Tyler Durden, Travis Bickle, or Joaquin Phoenix's Joker, just to name a few. Young guys who are still figuring themselves out might watch a movie and personally identify with facets of characters like that and their struggles in some way or another, so it's become a bit of a running joke to say, "He's literally me", at the mention of certain characters or even typecasted actors.
dude u 21 and here u are delivering high quality content like this is just simply impressive. Not only the hours u been putting to watch all his films and editing them, but also put them in structure and write all those narratives by yourself. Excellent work u must be really talented
❤️💪 thank you so much man
Lars and the Real Girl is one of the most empathetic movies I’ve ever seen. Ryan Gosling is so sweet and gave such a moving performance. It’s such a drastic contrast to his hilarious comedic performance in Barbie. This man has RANGE!
It's hilarious how Ryan Gosling went from being the guy millennials like myself desperately avoided watching because of being forced to endure The Notebook by girls back in high school in the 2000s, to becoming every dude's favorite actor in the blink of an eye? I guess Blade Runner or Drive did some serious magic because now Gen Z has turned him into a meme sensation, lmao
Well maybe guys should have listen to girls more
there's plenty of guys that are obsessed with Gosling ever since Drive came out. there's even a guy on 4chan who pretended to be Driver and got a girlfriend cause of it

Lars and the real girl is my absolute favourite Ryan gosling film. I think it really showed his acting talent, he should have won an Oscar for that role.
Calling the Nice Guys bad is a trash take. Movie is perfection.
It’s in my top 3 Ryan Gosling movies
Yeah I think that was a poor choice of words. Maybe he was saying “The characters are so bad at their jobs/lives that it makes the movie good”. Definitely not a “so bad it’s good” movie, though. It’s just really fucking good.
Exactly
unless he asks you to pay to have fun with him but i prolly would've
How many times have you seen it?
To me, Ryan Gosling is MADE for neon movies. Nicholas Refn is one director where his script can be garbage and the movie still slams because his cinematography and color control is SO good
So good even his colorblindness couldn't stop him
@@swindlesmccoopthis made me squeal ahahaha
My first Ryan Gosling "that's literally me!" moment was in The Nice Guys, when trying to force-open a door, he cuts his wrist with the glass and ended up in the hospital with nuns.
Totally relatable!
'Lars And The Real Girl' is an underrated masterpiece and Gosling should've gotten an Oscar nomination for it.
I am so jealous of the people who watched Blade Runner 2049 in theatre. If it ever gets re released I'll be the first to watch
i saw it in theatres while on a first date except my date was giving me an ongoing commentary of movie facts the whole time. i went to the bathroom twice to get some quiet time
Certainly quite the experience
I was living with my dad when the movie came out, I was 16, and we didn't have much money. He won 2 movie tickets from a radio show and I told him I wanted to see Blade Runner 2049 because I had liked the previous Denis Villeneuve films I had seen, and so we went on opening night. The theater wasn't empty but it definitely wasn't packed. I remember watching it with him, enjoying it the whole time, and then coming home and taking a shower while thinking about the film, it's still very vivid 6 years later.
The only movie I've ever seen twice in the cinema. I went back a week later to watch it again.
@@neontate413 That's sociopath behavior. Gotta put a muzzle on them for the movie and then break up with them after they buy the popcorn.
I'm behind on what happened with the movie, why did it get pulled?
I also saw blade runner 2049 in the cinema at 16 du cinema. It changed my life. After walking out of that theater, I realized how much I love cinema. I discovered I always loved it and this movie helped me realize it. If I ever direct a movie, you will definitely feel blade runner 2049's influence on me.
Damn I feel you
Same, this movie got me real hooked into cinematography.
Same story! Roger Deakins and his camera work made all other movies feel like cheap phone recording. Everything about that movie, like plot, casting, design and acting, screamed - perfect movie! Such a shame it failed, at the box office, even though it's legacy and cult following are already established, which shows how great of a work of art it is.
This comment spoke to my soul and I feel the exact same way haha
I absolutely hated it , one of the few films I actually fell asleep in (I'm only 22). Gave it another shot and didn't like it. Gave it a break for about 3-4 years and then revisited it a few months ago since we were discussing the book and both films. I hated it even more and couldn't wait for it to end. Also thought it looked very ugly and boring compared to The original and the score may as well nit have been there Because I barely noticed it. I think of like The Many Saints of Newark - I prefer to act like it doesn't exist
Thanks for the support, worked really hard on these movies!
Thank you for making this video, it's always very humbling to see people appreciate my work
can't believe someone watched all of my movies. thanks for the support
the nice guys is one of my favorites of all time. i always end up watching it again the day after. his physical comedy is so great. i need more goose action also though
I feel like this is one that gets better every time you watch it haha. I only watched it once
I will say that the bee seen almost took me out of the movie
I saw Blade Runner 2049 in theaters opening weekend and I’ll never forget it. I walked out of the theater in complete awe of the story, world, and ofc my amazing acting
He’s an icon. He’s a legend. He is the moment. He's LITERALLY ME.
You look at acting and think it's easy but seeing how Ryan literally bought a car. took it apart and put it back together and practiced piano everyday for 4 months straight shows, it's really not as easy as it looks. That's some dedication to the craft.
True but also...who wouldn't want to get paid to do these things? That's a wicked cool life
Also, only 4 months to learn to play piano on that level???? I’m gonna kms I can’t learn SHIT in just 4 months.
Thanks (he is me)
The Nice Guys continues to be my favourite comedy film. I think it's amazingly written, shot and performed. Out of the loudmouth Gosling characters, Holland March is easily the best. Great video though, it's crazy how much you know about all the films I've made.
It is criminally underrated. No one I know has seen it, even though they've seen The Notebook, and I'm like whaaaaa
“I know you’re not a bad person.”
-“She just said she murdered multiple people.”
Nice Guys is one of my all-times, and I realize it fits into a constellation I call "cinema of chaos." If you like it, you'll probably also like:
- War on Everyone (this is first on the list for a reason)
- Inherent Vice
- Better Living Through Chemistry
- Confessions of a Dangerous Mind
- Dope
- Licorice Pizza

Blue valentine remains one of my favorite "love" movies ever, it hits so REAL, Loved Ryan in that role as well.
he's very famous and all but i don't think he gets credit enough as an artist and actor, it actually takes some talent to convey your characters so naturally that so many people collectively find you very relatable
Dude, I cant put it to words how happy I am to see such a well made video made all about me

The Nice Guys is spectacular ✨
I disagree. His greatest performance will always be "Ryan Gosling won't eat his cereal".
you're right
not when ryan gosling in papyrus exists
This was so effortlessly funny, well put together
Thanks for watching all of my movies! Love the support my man
Can’t wait for the barbie movie
I love that you took the video idea somewhat seriously. 'cause memes aside, Ryan is an amazing actor and really plays his roles to the fullest. I feel like Robert Pattinson is having a similar revival to him, ever since Good Time he's been playing some very niche and unique roles, I think you should make a video about him too.
Watching Good Time made me realize that I had seriously misjudged Pattinson as an actor up until that point (thanks Twilight), he's great in The Lighthouse too -along with Willem Dafoe!
@@marimoerostraw It's understandable, most did early in his acting career. I think it's commendable the way Pattinson pushed himself as an actor with many indie and nicher projects after Twilight instead of falling into the trap many actors fall for with playing an architype. He was stuck by that Twilight stigma for a while but now I feel like most recognize his skill in multiple roles.
Your top 5 is just right, I would have done the same brother. Great video. Keep it on, so glad to find an other Gosling enjoyer, this guy is so underatted but I find him being one of the funniest actor out there right now and a truly touching person.
I frigging love this video. Thank you so much!

I can't believe someone watched every single one of my movies! Always love interacting with a fan, be it in person or online!
Ryan gosling is also starring in a movie in the future called project Hail Mary. It’s an adaptation of a book written by the same guy who wrote the Martian. If anyone has any inclination to read a book, project Hail Mary is one of the best books I’ve ever read, and I can’t wait to see Ryan gosling in it’s adaptation
Oh my god yesss i heard about that. Love the book and hope the movie is as good an adaptation as the Martian
He is such an underrated actor. I mean he's loved by many but mainly for his looks and because he's charismatic. Rarely you see people praise his performance. He is one of the best actors today IMO
You missed key points of my life, but I'll allow it. You have made me, RYAN GOSLING, proud
What an amazing video! Thank you very much for making this about literally me
Thanks for taking the time out of your day to watch all my movies! Great video, thank you!
Man I forgot about all these movies I did. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
Ryan Gosling is my favorite actor, I can't think of another actor that has this many films that i just love. Genuinely a great of our time with how versatile he is
Really enjoyed the video, i like how i didn't know most of these movies, yet they are presented in such a way to pick some and add them to movies i'd like to watch. Also we are all Ryan Gosling.
The ranking you finally showed was exactly what I expected😍
First man is such an underrated movie, it truly captures the experience of the beginning era of space flight, the somehow functioning spacecraft made from thin sheet metal and bolts. the sound design of you hearing the metal groan the bend from the rocket engines to the ratteling of bolts and metal feeling as if the entire thing could just shake apart at any second
Literally me
I love the video and shout out to you for actually standing up for Stay and Song to Song. Two of his three movies that are secretly masterpieces but no one talks about. However I gotta say I think you missed the point of Only God Forgives. That’s his third hidden gem movie and it’s my favorite out of all of them besides maybe Drive and Blade Runner. You can’t look at it like a crime movie. You have to look at it like a metaphor or a parable. Every single shot has so much depth and visual storytelling that the “plot” comes from the art. Trust me. The movie holds together great. It’s just weather or not your willing to take the time to really dig deep into the themes and metaphors. Strongly recommend going back to it with different expectations.
Seeing this video in my recommendations made me actually put together my own list of every Ryan Gosling movie that i put on a wheel of names and watched every single one of them at random
That's a good idea! Which one has been your favorite so far?

In 2014 when I was in the 7th grade I had a teacher compare me to him. It's one thing to say, "that's literally me", but it's a whole nother thing to have someone else say "you are him", especially so long ago before this "literally me" thing was a trend

I'm afraid the first and the only one movie i watched with Ryan is Blade runner 2049 and i loved it. What's even more important i saw it this year right after i watched first Blade runner. With fresh memory and emotions of original, 2049 hits so strongly, especially during the scene with Tears in the rain in the end
