What do you suggest I do to keep bacteria out as well as keep the bark from falling off? Thanks, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    • @TheGrantAlexander
      @TheGrantAlexander  Год назад

      Hi George, unfortunately it is very difficult to keep the bark on the wood as it contracts and expands at different rates than the rest of the board. I have heard of people coating an entire board in epoxy to ensure that it won't come off, but I am not sure if that would be food safe. Sorry I cannot be more helpful.

    Amazing board! I am very new, and wondered about the mask you wore and why? If I knew how to PM I would have done that LOL

    • @TheGrantAlexander
      @TheGrantAlexander  4 года назад

      Thanks for commenting 😁 the mask I wore is a dust mask it helps keep the dust from getting into my lungs/sinuses. It's made by RZ masks, but there are many others like it. 👍

    This is awesome. May I please ask how much you spent doing this? I want to see if it’s in my budget 😆

    • @TheGrantAlexander
      @TheGrantAlexander  3 года назад +1

      Thank you very much! I'm not sure exactly how much I spent, but the majority of the money was on the piece of wood. Try looking at your local wood dealer to see what the price is and that will let you know if it's in your budget👍
