Yes! I imagine it has to do with your view in 3D. Look at the vertical toggle menu in the top left corner of the 3D window. It's like your hide/show menu. For the fabric view, choose the blue/white fabric that is THICK. It's called Thick Textured Surface. If you're on regular Textured Surface rendering thickness will not show up.
Hmm...I'm not really sure I know what you mean. Normally leather would just be punched without stitching, but if you want stitching around the hole you would use the topstitch tools. Here's a video on that: ruclips.net/video/ZncCv3ijsZM/видео.html Let me know if you meant something else.
This was so healpful but I hope you don't mine a few questions. 1) will this work in MD? Because thats what I have and I've been trying to figure out how to make belts and suspenders for a week now 2)speaking of suspenders could this be used to make them even thought it's a bunch of different strips of fabric instead of one long piece? 3) can you still animate in the program with the loop as an avatar? Like, if I animate the human avatar will the metal buckle follow
1) I believe all these same tools exist in MD and it should be fine. 2) You can absolutely make suspenders like you'd make a belt, it's just a bit different process, but same idea. I'll add it to my list of tutorials if you like. 3) I am not an animation expert, but I believe you'll have to add the buckles as a trim, not an avatar, in order for it to move with the garment. It's a bit more finicky and I know it can give you some issues, but people do it, so try watching some videos on animation. Sorry I just don't really touch animation! It's not in my wheelhouse.
