Sorry for not replying. Take out the back seat where you sit the seats then fold flat. I put a 3 x 2 inch under the fold down pieces to get it fully flat.
I really enjoyed your video, I have been wanting to do a car camp for years. Think I will look out for a qashqai or something similar as it allows you to get a wee bit of the beaten track. Best wishes 2u&your dogs. Spring 2024 is going to be my target for a first car camp and I'll be 66 by then.
The plus 2 quasqai is longer. I'm changing my set up this week. I've had some fantastic outings with mine it's just so convenient. See my vlogs I carry full portaloo shower pop up, battery bank and heater. Just need a projector next lol. Go do it It's freedom
Hi, liked your video. Have a Quashqai myself and buying bits for same. Purchased a Hasika 'tent' from Amazon for around £65. Basically fits over open boot, you open the zip and provides a canopy/cover from the rain. Brilliant!!, though doesnt come with poles.
Loved the video mate, liked and subbed! I should be picking up my Qashqai next week, I'll be making sure to follow this example for my next few excursions!
For the car windows, just get a few mid-sized towels to put between the windows. roll up your windows and there you go. No more onlookers. For the rear wind shield; use a washcloth string you hang up and hang a large towel above your bed. Same thing. No glueing or taping needed.
Hi I'm not sure mine bleeper just locks the central locking and puts the light on. Have you a alarm manual. You usually can disarm them from the controller . I have bikes and can disarm them.
@@goingwildagain there is a button underneath your main interior light it has a picture of your car with some beams coming down press it once then lock your car it will give a loud audible beep
Not sure if this will work for you, but I leave my key in the ignition (turned off) and just lock the doors using the console door lock button. You could probably get away with just locking the doors.
Like to see video of you getting out of bed in the middle of the night. All doors and tailgate closed, bedding in use and you snug as a bug ... in need to pee ... or worse! I'm attempting the same use of my Seat Altea XL I've decided to recline the passenger seat and suspend a shelf above to take me when I sleep. Hope to swing my legs in to rear footwell behind driver seat when getting up and access the rear driver side door as normal access. Wish Seat made a recline flat passenger seat. Being short and fat I hope to manage. Boot is for golf clubs and suitcase, wife, dog, food and anything else will be left at home. S, S & S, eat and loo at golf club.
Yes preparation is everything. I have a toilet and shower too. The height getting in is tall but manageable. Getting out is easy I use rear seat handles to swivel when doors open. The issues arise when it's really bad weather. It's all do able in a car just depends on what one wants. Thanx for watching. The cost to convert was minimal and I've had some great times in fantastic places at no cost and no issues. Just editing a 3 nighter in York dales.
I'm so glad I've found this video, I'll be collecting my qashqai next week and hoping to car camping soon. Thank you for sharing
Welcome to a awesome lifestyle . Loads of places to stop over
This is brilliant! I just bought a Qashqai, and we are heading out to a road trip! :D
Awesome it's ideal for most trips. I spent many a good night in the Dales and Lakes
Same bro!! 🏕️🏕️⛺⛺
Can I ask please? Does your rear seats fold flat ? I don’t think mine does .
@@Cattygirlful Not entirely flat. They stay a little bit elevated, but with a mattress it really does not matter that much.

Really easy to set up at low cost. I already had all camping gear. I've had some great times this year. Thanx 4 sub

I prefer the permanent solution more robust for me. If you idea works for you go 4 it.
@@goingwildagain I should have mention mine was a rental 😊
Iv got the same quashqai and am getting some stuff together to do the same thing in the dales.what do you use for a toilet
Hi I carry a portaloo with me in the back of my car. Its useful item in the Dales
@@goingwildagain hi were did u buy your loo
Caravan shop
hello, what is the largest width of the trunk?
OK so inside width between the wheel matches 47 inches in mu 2009 Nissan
Lovely stuff, thank you mate. Looking for inspiration for my Qashqai. I wonder, do you have problems with the alarm when sleeping in? Thank you
Ignore that, just found the answer in the comments
Which year is the car model?
OK it's a 2009 1.6 petrol.
Is it the regular or the +2 version?
Hi, I have a Qashqai 2018 and want to wild camp but I can’t figure out how to disarm the interior alarm! Any ideas, thank you.

How long the mattress is?
I think it's 6 ft 1inch to front seats and full with of my 09 nissan. I use a Kip double self inflating matress
@@goingwildagain thank you :)
Can you lie flat? How tall are you?
Hi I am 5 ft 11inch and can lie flat when the front seats are pulled forwards.
how tall are you?
Hi I am 5 ft 11 inch tall. If your over 6 ft tall you struggle to stretch out fully. It suits me though.
I'm over 6ft and I have to lay a little diagonally, but I camp solo, so it's not an issue.
