Great job, Michal! It's always a treat to hear your thoughts! TBM is a very consistent, very professional band that has a unique signature sound and handles it with great variety. They always have a very catchy hooky chorus, which I love. :)

I've heard this song a bunch and I'd noticed the monotone like melody as you mentioned but never really gave it much more than passing thought, but after you said that it struck me how I really appreciated that delivery compared to the conversation like lyrics where, whomever "he" is, is saying these things to her and the tone can give this vibe that she's really absorbing what "he" is saying and is perhaps malleable allowing the words to shape or mold or make an impression of sorts on her.
I love this band a lot, thank you so much, female vocals are always amazing with darkwave, gothic music. Can you also make a reaction to Özlem Tekin - Kargalar or Özlem Tekin - Kıyamet songs, she is a metal queen from Turkey, her style is different with each album but mostly known for her rock, metal style 🤘🤘An other suggestion would be Switchblade Symphony - Clown and Miranda Sex Garden - Wheel 💗
I like to describe them as Letters to Cleo and Nine Inch Nails had a baby, and it really likes Depeche Mode. :-) The cute, the dark, but also that great 80s electronic/synth-wave sound. I’ve loved them for a while, but I’m seeing them live for the first time this Tuesday night. So of course now I’m watching back to back live videos to get pre-amped and stumbled upon this. I was an 80s kid, a teen in the 90s. Depeche Mode and The Cure were among my first favorites. And this band has always offered that certain dark-pulsing (and clever) something I’ve been missing since then. For over 20 years now they’ve continued to turn out consistent quality albums. That’s an achievement, the list of bands who have done that is way shorter than the list of bands who choke up or sell out. I’m glad they were recommended to you, and I’m glad you enjoyed them as well!
Glad to see you've enjoyed the birthday massacre's superstition. I've been a fan of them since 2008 or 09 when I ran across their song the looking glass. I keep finding myself coming back to a gmv of diablo 3 with superstition. It suited the visuals well. I'm currently waiting for the superstition album to appear in my mail as I've been slowly collecting their albums. I own their walking with strangers, under your spell, and pins and needles cds.
Interesting that you mentioned "the two opposites" vibe. When I saw them live 15 years ago, half the band wore black, the other white. But I never translated the aesthetic choice to the music til you just said. 🐿️ A ⬛⬜
TBM are a band I dismissed for years, just assumed from their image that they were yet another edgelord emo band, style over substance. Then I eventually figured out from various DJ setlists that they were behind 6 or 7 of my favourite dancefloor tracks and gave them a listen... turns out they were behind another 4 or so tracks I loved and I was a huge fan who didn't know it. Then they played my home city, so I figured I'd go give them a watch. Queue was round the block before doors even opened, fans really dressed up for it, amazing friendly atmosphere... and then they played. They were immediately in my top 5 live acts by the second song, they REALLY bring the energy. Seen them maybe a dozen times since and they've never brought less than 100% to the stage. Ferociously consistent performers but still keeping the passion there, and one of the nicest crowds you'll ever meet. Also some of the best t-shirts on the merch stall. And they really do stand up for progressive issues, they've spoken out even when it would have been far easier and maybe better for their careers to just keep silent on things they'd seen.
