Aside from theft, hitting financial goals can be very difficult if employees are, for lack of a better word, lazy. I'm currently a supervisor for Wal☆Mart, and I want to say a majority of the staff is just difficult to work with. Terrible productivity, not caring about doing their job right or in a timely fashion, calling in a lot or coming in late/going home early, it adds up. I've seen countless new hires come through and just have a terrible attitude and work ethic and I really want to say (at least at my location) 75% of them don't make it past 3 months. I'm not worried about my store closing bc we have a fairly decent team, but we have our issues too. Likewise with the other stores in our district. Wal☆Mart can be a tough place to work at, but if everyone would come in and be a professional and actually earn their pay (and the company is paying more than it ever has now), the internal issues wouldn't be huge hassles at they are currently at other locations. Plus the thieves. So much stolen product. Local laws need to get tougher on these scumbags whose actions affect the honest folk.
Maybe the community should rise and address their inhabitants that cause these closures by shoplifting and fraud. That goes for internal theft also
