    Great video! I'm struggling with my mindset a lot lately. I'm influenced by bad throws way to easily. Your tips sound great and it also helps to read that this is something that a lotnof people struggle with. I'll focus on my positive mindset from now on so i stay on the automatic route as much as possible. 😀😀

    Excellent video, thank you so much. I’ve been battling dartitis for a year and it is so demoralizing. Being positive and happy to play was my mindset to start and I’ve gotten away from that since Dartitis. It’s now become a dread of overthinking everything from darts,stems, flights. It can be beaten if you believe it in your soul.

    Getting into some really interesting psychology with the activation of fight or flight response etc. Generally people who are more on the disagreeable side of the spectrum are more naturally competitive and will become more determined and dig in when challenged or put under pressure, and people who are more agreeable want to move away from the pressure and diffuse the situation, but it's not completely black and white and there are a lot of psychological tricks and training that can be done to potentially overcome your natural instincts, or to trick the brain into having a different response.
    There is also the school of thought that these responses are set at a very early age due to genetics, upbringing, environment or all of these and that they really can't be reset or changed after a certain age.
    I find the whole subject fascinating so I loved this video. Cheers, and happy throwing 😁

    Cheers for a cracking video Ronnie. I must confess that I do get extremely angry with myself and I know I shouldn’t. Strange thing is most of that anger is on the practice board, I don’t expect to throw amazing all the time but I do expect to throw darts to a level at home that will help me improve. I spend many hours trying to improve my personal level. Strange thing is I played in a few competitions this year and one in particular I played in I got to the semifinals and lost however the 3 previous matches I played in leading up to that semi, every player was way beyond my ability and in most of the legs were first to a finish, I honestly felt like Dick Turpin stealing these legs from them. I just played to my ability and finished in 3 darts in nearly every leg, yes it gave me confidence but for sure if the scores don’t improve it will be a different story. Hope all is going good for you Ronnie 👍🏻🎯

      All good mate and thanks for the comment , I think that’s not as bad at all in practice rather than playing elsewhere. Sounds like what your doing is working in a sense for you at comps so keep it going 💪
      All good hope the same for you 🙏

      I’m very hard on myself as I know I have the ability, whether I have the ability to play decent over a longer period remains to be seen. Struggling a little at the moment with my grip and release but hopefully I can get it back soon. Far too many darts landing in the 5s. Good to hear you’re doing well. Looking forward to seeing more videos in the future 👍🏻🎯

    Glad to see another of your videos. I as just an amateur ,but I can relate to what you are saying. I try to play at least 5 nights a week for practice as I work full time. I am still working on my grouping as some nights I can do pretty good but other nights when I am preoccupied, I hit the dreaded 26 all the time. A person needs to relax more when playing the game and not focus on other things. Keep the videos up. Can't wait until you hit the pro tour as I know you will. Best of luck from Canada.

      Great to hear your putting the effort in and thanks for the support bud .I found resting sometimes the day before you play can also help if you do alot of practice. Will keep grinding till I get there and will not be easy but all about the effort 🙌💪😊

      What would you advise a 54 year old who is set in their ways. Is it too late to change?

    • @RR10000Hours
      @RR10000Hours  Год назад +1

      Definitely never to old , depends on your goals but age is certainly not a major factor in darts until 65-70 + it’s more about how you feel and your mindset. Set out a plan for yourself to achieve your goals based upon your own parameters and strengths/weaknesses.
      Best of luck mate 💪🙌
