Thankyou Scott ! Appreciate the belief and was debating to not to this video as didn’t want it to come across in the wrong way🤘 we keep the updates on here. All the best 💪😊
I love your videos. Thanks for taking us along on your journey. And please do the technique videos. I am struggling with my throw, and I need to get this worked out before I can make much progress with drills and such.
Thanks so much for supporting my journey, never expected the positivity I have received from day 1 👏😊 Will put something together hope can help and keep at it mate 💪
fantastic mate keep going don't stop. Your video motivated me. so much I put my foot off gas as well. Busy at work stuff like that. Practice, practice and more practice. 💪💪🎯🎯🎯
Honestly I don't play darts, but just keep pushing. It would be so cool if you reach the top. Maybe you should be real to yourself and set that as your new goal alongside with the 10K or (5K hour mark). But again, no expert here. Just love the experiment and it would just be extra cool since you are documenting it all.
I recently hit a new peak in ability but have come crashing back which is tough to take. My biggest frustration at the moment is that I've been at this game for 35 months, practiced around 700 hours and I've barely pushed the needle from where I started - 30 to 35 average for maybe 2.5 years and now I've managed a 48.48 average in 10 legs in the past couple of weeks which is incredible for me but that's not the norm and I'm probably sitting at 38-43 most days. That just doesn't feel like a lot of progress for the time invested. Keep up your good work - it's always crazy to think I was once catching your hours and you've since blasted far far away!
It’s tough going mate and just have to find the time , all about the quality of practice and focus but also have to play and compete regularly wouldn’t have grown without it. Still a long way to go for me and not as many hours as I would have liked 🙌
Thank you for your thoughts. Info. Im working really hard at my game.. Im 56, so need to work on fitness. Just cant make a step forward. I avg 58 to 60 regularly. Do have periods of low 70s. Im just gona keep on driving forward. Good luck on your experiment. Il be following ur process here now. Go 4 it.
I just did the math. At 2 hrs a day it's almost 14 years to get to 10,000 hours. That's dedication. I don't know how old you are but I hope you hit your goals.
Yes it is some time , but my firm belief is that the journey can be sped up with the right type of practice so hoping for some real progress at 5000 hours but will see what happens I won’t stop until I reach the pinnacle or 10,000 hours 😊💪
Excellent video Ronnie. I’m sure you’ll get back into it in no time. At the moment I just don’t know where my game is and the truth be told I’ve never really improved over the last 3 years. Yes I have some fantastic legs but I have many bad ones also. You keep at Ronnie 👍🏻🎯
Thanks mate and appreciate that ! 😊 the biggest improvements in my game have come following long periods of practice and long periods of competition the latter more so which is difficult for everyone to keep up 🙌
Great videos...would really like some technical videos like back swing, follow through realese point....Great video keep up the good work and thank you for your time to do these videos
Probably stating the obvious here but surely the way to reach high 80s/low 90s consistently is by regularly playing people of that standard. I'd imagine if you're playing people with high 70s average then you know you don't need to push yourself very hard to beat them and that's why you might feel like you're getting complacent. If you're the smartest kid in the class then it means you're in the wrong class. The challenge tour is clearly the level you need to be playing at to take your game further. I'm impressed and inspired that you've got this far so keep on going! Success ain't a straight line but as long as you're dedicated you'll keep improving.
County isnt what it used to be local comps are definitely the way forward and the amateur darts circuit is absolutely fantastic. Its brought my average from 70 to low 80s within 6 month. Playing the likes of ryan joyce and kevin mcdine on a weekly basis is massive and its brought me on. Definitely give the adc a look mate and keep going.
Playing good players makes a massive difference and wdf for me next year is the focus and local stuff, need to get used to winning more and thanks for the support dude 💪😊
@@RR10000Hours no bother mate you inspired me to actually go and play local comps and have the confidence to do it and its paying off. Hopefully see you at a comp at some point mate.
Loving the videos buddy keep them coming. Would love to know what technique or drill you used to stop the dart spinning. Currently throwing at 75-85 average regularly and want to join a league. I think stopping the spin might give me that extra little boost in my game.
Thanks a lot mate🙌 will see if can put something together on this. Definitely recommend a local league or the IEDB for online play. Keep it going dude 👏
There are still some very good players in the WDF world championship so that would be impressive. I was great back in the day but mainly because we finished work at 1 and were in the boozer by 1.05 playing darts but that culture has sadly disappeared as from those pub games I ended up playing for a pub team which was fun but I never practiced because for me it was a hobby but I agree if you want to get serious you have to practice. I also played a musical instrument and the hours I put into that was ridiculous and then went out gigging as well. I think you have to have that passion.
Really glad to here this Christian🙌 Thanks for commenting and I play with red dragon custom darts currently. 23g They are similar to Jonny Clayton’s and the bolide 02 darts 👍
I still do now sometimes I will aim to hit just above the treble to get a start and then follow below it. I practiced 20 single 20s without missing a lot so quite confide
I don't think 10.000 hours is enough tbh. Once you've crossed the 10.000 hour mark, you might be able to play at the highest level. But there's still soooooo much room for improvement within the top 5% of darts. But keep on going, only by doing it your way you'll achieve your goals!
Appreciate your thoughts mate and you may be right but I hope to be top 50 in the world by well under 10k hours. But there is so many variations at the top level and this is the whole point of it to see what happens. Thanks mate 🙏😊
They don’t have to some players who are pro spin opposite way, but a lot that do spin they spin very slowly. Other than someone like Adrian Lewis etc. all ways can work
@@RR10000Hours it's about a regular guy called Justin irwin who decides to put everything in his life towards becoming a darting pro. A fantastic story of warts and all.

They are similar to Jonny Clayton’s and the bolide 02 darts 👍
Thx for your answer...are u playing with a long Setup?
Standard length stems, kite flights 👍😊
Oh ok...they looked much longer
I have tried shorter and longer but don’t get as good grouping other stability 👍
When you started praticeing did you ever aim for a big 20 first dart so you had a marker ?
I still do now sometimes I will aim to hit just above the treble to get a start and then follow below it. I practiced 20 single 20s without missing a lot so quite confide
confident with getting straight darts. When I throw badly I go back to centre and make sure I’m hitting straight not just always going for the treble
Thank you for the advise it was something I started doing wasn't playing too bad and then stopped and then hitting alot of 5s and 1s first dart
Keep at it mate and if in doubt I always go back to basics and it helps a lot 💪👏

I need a basic question answered please. Do the darts have to spin the way yours do the rotation is opposite of my natural throw
They don’t have to some players who are pro spin opposite way, but a lot that do spin they spin very slowly. Other than someone like Adrian Lewis etc. all ways can work

5.27 still looks like you’re not following through completely
Jonny Clayton does similar but I find it’s more rhythm now. If I have a bad shot will usually be early release or not following through enough 👍👏
