pretty sure this is just an empty box, like where are all the galaxies and stars and planets/moons to land and explore? It really isn't all that impressive
Crazy how it created a labyrinth like in Nolan's interstellar when the beings from the future created time as a physical dimension. Crazy the "parallels" you can find in the universe.
Ok so someone please tell me exactly what this map is, because it was originally implied to be a 1:1 scale of multiple universes each with their own explorable galaxies and star systems. From what I can tell this is just a bunch of pngs in a black box. Are the galaxies actually galaxy sized? Are the distances 1:1 accurate to the scale of the universe? I feel like so little information is actually given about this map.
Infinite black box with tiny little Jpegs in it? I'm sorry but that doesn't make it the largest map, I understand what the point is, but its like making a decent sized map, and then making the player model incredibly small. I don't mean to come off disrespectful, let me know if I got anything wrong
Well, turns out the biggest "map" ever might be... Minecraft with a 128bits mod. The map reaches 30 Quindecillions blocks wide (30x10^90), and if i did not have my math wrong, it should be 3.6x10^51 times the observable universe (could somebody confirm that ?)
it actually makes more sense having a plain black background because of the fact that your flying past universes were all the stars are so technically you wouldn't see the stars in the background because there would be none
something that really annoys me is how the galaxies overlap into view even when you're close to a planet, that wouldn't be nearly the case irl,, but this is till amazing. It's so cool to see something like that
So assuming each universe is the size of our observable universe (93B ly), then that would mean the full multiverse is 4,380,672,000,000,000 (4.38 quadrillion) ly
now, it needs to have palyable areas, just like the old school gmod space maps, except since this play area is so big, you could make small worlds with a few structures, valleys, and other things to play on. i see lots of potential
You should rather look at Ethan Gore's voxel engine. He can just copy and paste entire Hermitcraft worlds on a whim, render and edit billions of voxels at a time.
It really illustrates how naive would it be to think that not on even one planet out of this mind-defying scale of the universe is there intelligent life.
Those "Universes" are WAY too small. They are more like galaxy clusters, and small ones at that. The actual universe has at least a hundred billion galaxies, those clusters seems to contain a few thousand each. Also, the galaxies in each cluster are too close together, relative to their size.
Could someone explain how this is 1:1 scale? If it was 1:1 wouldnt you be able to go inside all of those galaxies individually and see all of the stars and planets inside as you approach them?
gmod community in 20 years be like: hey guys today we recreated universe with atoms on a 1 by 1 scale and simulating humanity, lets run doom on this atomically simulated CPU
If you think this is impressive, try Space Engine. Its a complete simulation of our universe, where you can visit every galaxy, star, planet, moon, asteroid etc. You can land and walk on almost anything. You can also play it in VR

It might be impressive at first because it is on source engine, but it stops being interesting after about 2 minutes. SpaceEngine is much, much more impressive in how it generates it's universe, and how you can get a true sense of scale when you explore entire galaxies and then go down to the surface of an individual planet in the simulation.
pretty sure this is just an empty box, like where are all the galaxies and stars and planets/moons to land and explore? It really isn't all that impressive
The scariest part is that this is really what the universe looks like, essentially infinite galaxies in every direction.
It literally is just images slapped onto a black map, the dude in the video is full of shit lol.
no mans sky: finally, a worthy opponet our battle will be legendary.
gmod: *foghorn*
My guy just threw some jpegs in a black space called it the largest map ever created and dipped
Infinite black box with tiny little Jpegs in it? I'm sorry but that doesn't make it the largest map, I understand what the point is, but its like making a decent sized map, and then making the player model incredibly small. I don't mean to come off disrespectful, let me know if I got anything wrong
I don't think it's as simple as that my man
Technically it is the largest map. It has multiple universes in the same area, which is many more areas. Best way I can describe it in text lol
Galaxy ≠ universe
Big group of galaxys ≠ universe
There is only one known (real) universe and that has everything we know in it
7:30 "I activated my Flahslight" yeaaaa... I dont think your 100 lumen flashlights gonna do the trick lol
it actually makes more sense having a plain black background because of the fact that your flying past universes were all the stars are so technically you wouldn't see the stars in the background because there would be none
What the hell you are talking about. There are billions of stars around
something that really annoys me is how the galaxies overlap into view even when you're close to a planet, that wouldn't be nearly the case irl,, but this is till amazing. It's so cool to see something like that
Bro’s crowbar could have about the same impact on the galaxies as your mo-
So assuming each universe is the size of our observable universe (93B ly), then that would mean the full multiverse is 4,380,672,000,000,000 (4.38 quadrillion) ly
Now we need ships from Halo, but they go faster than normal It would be cool to have space battles in like big ass unsc ships and Covenant ships
now, it needs to have palyable areas, just like the old school gmod space maps, except since this play area is so big, you could make small worlds with a few structures, valleys, and other things to play on.
i see lots of potential
You should rather look at Ethan Gore's voxel engine. He can just copy and paste entire Hermitcraft worlds on a whim, render and edit billions of voxels at a time.
garry's mod players will make this type of map rather than going to therapy.
It really illustrates how naive would it be to think that not on even one planet out of this mind-defying scale of the universe is there intelligent life.
these maps are VERY scary
Yep
If he could go as fast as he could as shown, he would see absolute darkness because he is well over the speed of light.
You forgot to show off the atmospheres of each planet! haha
nice vid! Also, FYI I just made Gmod Flight Simulator (I'm still working on it)
Those "Universes" are WAY too small. They are more like galaxy clusters, and small ones at that. The actual universe has at least a hundred billion galaxies, those clusters seems to contain a few thousand each. Also, the galaxies in each cluster are too close together, relative to their size.

DEMENTIA CHECK
This is why the Source Engine is always the GOAT!
Imagine how funny it would be if some nihilist said "There's no one, I'm alone" and then he looks out the window to see THAT.
Could someone explain how this is 1:1 scale? If it was 1:1 wouldnt you be able to go inside all of those galaxies individually and see all of the stars and planets inside as you approach them?
It’s 1 to 1 scale in size only, it would be way too taxing to have every star, planet, and other celestial objects all within the map sadly 😕
@@NecrosVideos Thank you!!! Appreciate the explanation!
1:1 is the ratio of size, and has nothing to with detail, basically.
gmod community in 20 years be like: hey guys today we recreated universe with atoms on a 1 by 1 scale and simulating humanity, lets run doom on this atomically simulated CPU
If you think this is impressive, try Space Engine. Its a complete simulation of our universe, where you can visit every galaxy, star, planet, moon, asteroid etc.
You can land and walk on almost anything. You can also play it in VR
It is wrong to call it the Multiverse. It is a cluster of 2048 regions, each the size of the Observable Universe.
Imagine hide and seek on this map
Imagine if we could replicate this in Minecraft. Imagine this: Biggest Anarchy server in Minecraft
This is like the ultimate liminal map
I higly doubt there are 2 trillion galaxies in each of those universes
The only thing that truly terrifies me is the vastness of space.
Add moving to fast, galaxies blinking in and out of existence and phasing into a planet and you got me I'm fucked up.
💀💀💀🌌❌💯
This man needs to experience Space Engine... he will pass out.
Bro it's just png's copy-pasted
Fr
No that was 2048 universes
Wow, thanks for telling us sherlock.
Did you think they’d be avil to go on each planet?
ain't no way this guy has to explain what a multiverse is
Realistically No Man's Sky has the largest map of all games because it just keeps on generating which means it's technically infinitely big
This is about a confined map, and not a generated map, but I do see what you mean
I'm surprised you didn't wait to upload this video on April 1st. I couldn't sworn I saw a galaxy where it was just a image of a person lmaoooo
