I love how much Jeremy has opened up on camera since you guys have partnered up and he started his own channel.

When I was at NASCAR Tech for school we built a real stock car and we got it to make 720hp and 510tq at 8250rpm. Seeing that the dale truck is only 100hp off from a real stock car engine makes me think of they push the truck just a little harder and rev just a little higher, they might have the closest thing to a real stock car you can get. I'm honestly really excited to see everyone pushing this car to 110% and doing it for dale.

Why would they push it for more rpm? It made the max hp at 6800.

@@hereinmissoula11 you can rev to 8k+ on a hydraulic roller. What it needs is a different cam profile to make peak power at that rpm
It does need a bigger cam, we need it going down the track hitting 8k in every gear
Cleetus MacFarland there’s probably lead tungsten loaded in the left frame rail that you guys could potentially remove. They normally build those as light as they can, and then put lead in the frame rails to bring them up to the minimum 3400 pounds for competition. Could also adjust the chassis for better left AND right turns. 👍🏻

If it was a local track car absolutely!! Even though it is technically against the rules, it is probably still there. If it was a Craftsman series, or another top tier touring division truck, I highly doubt it.

I think Leroy and all of your projects are really awesome, but seeing the pure NA power of this thing screaming to nearly 8k is truly a thing of glory. High horsepower high RPM engines are my favorite. Great content as always man.

I wonder if it has been mentioned yet. But when you talk about how the truck pulls to one side, I wonder if it has a circle track housing in the rear-end or one of the road race housing. If what I remember to be correct the circle track rear housing has a bend to it to help them turn left on the track. A road race housing should be straight across to give neutral handling for the left and right turns.
its not bent lol its rotated slightly on a vertical axis
not to mention the potential of there being weight in the left frame rail, very common on circle track vehicles
Left front brake calipers are more gripy to make it turn also
I am referring to how they have camber and caster as well as toe in/out welded into them when the housings are made. Not that they bend them with a big ass bar.

@@THEREAL_GZUS it's got a 6 speed that's an excuse for 4.10s you dint wanna have all them gears and 5 and 6 just be it fucking it's own ass if it's anything like the 5 speed in 4th gen mustangs and camaros it just falls on its face after 4 if you have any kind of a highway gear with it being a crown vic I'd be surprised if it had a 3.42 I'd be very lightly surprised at a 3.08 and I expect a 2.73

The air intake is awful close to the hood. I wonder if (with the hood closed) the truck is just suckng hot air that's being restricted by the hood, the computer is going to remove spark/fuel. The race trucks use cowl induction.

EXACTLY, I saw them celebrating and shit and no one mentioned what they gonna do for engine air filtration. Probably gonna end with a HOT air induction set up, like Gale Banks refers to it.
I don't think they thought this through. In FL's humid/hot weather, that computer may have to dial back 100 hp to keep it from pinging. My LS7 equipped '05 GTO dialed back 70 hp on hot days until I installed a Lingenfelter CAI set up. Heat sink stopped altogether.
Fred Garvin went threw the same thing with my 05 gto, I lost 56 to the wheels. Went with a vramair intake.
I hear good things about that vramair. I did a lot of the work (except motor/ trans) just after I bought it in '05. The Lingenfelter was available right away. It added 25hp/22ftlbs.
Fred Garvin Sadly I sold mine 6 years ago to buy a bike, still miss that car and tried to find one in close to perfect condition earlier this year. I will find the right one again one day.
My power gain was from a generic cold air intake with a dyno tune, then just changing the set up. Not sure if the gains would have been that much over a stock air box. Was a crappy K&N setup that pulled nothing but hot air.
Be careful with no air filter especially with the tires right in the Engine bay.

What is a 'Prom' and why is it faster?

I've always just assumed it comes from the eeprom's that store tunes on older ecu's.
The term "chip tuning" comes from the fact that you had to extract the eeprom chip from the ECU and burn/flash a new tune on it with specialized equipment.

All you need now is a nos. controller and run 3 stages of nos. like a 100 shot at low rpm and ramp up the nos.to the big bald eagles.....so you dont blow it up or blow the tires off it. Then you can let her eat up those blue oval boys.
Now a days you can use pwm on the solenoids and ramp in the power however you want
best of both worlds, plenty of displacement and revs, torque and power EVERYWHERE.

I have an idea for the dale trucks intake problem that might work depending on clearances. But you guys could potentially make some sort of sheet metal scoop on the underside with a hole that the throttle body sits inside of and and maybe retrofit a filter of some kind inside of it. I can’t say without seeing the truck in person but i would think it would work.

@@RicardoPCGamer thats easy to fix, all they need to do is put a proper cam and valve springs in that are capable of holding together at those RPMs. The rotating assembly he has in there from TSP, will EASILY live up to those RPMs already, so who knows....He may just do it!!

SOUNDS GREAT! I like it better than the cars. Since when did Nascar change the exhaust out both sides it always was together on the driver's side for the banking. Maybe that was an old grand national series car that would explain the hp too
