    Just to clarify, with the last 2023 revision of the AES75 Standard, M-Noise has officially been rechristened - Music-Noise - to reiterate and underscore the program content it emulates.

    Great Video Michael! You mention for this project you were considering T series and Kiva as well ... I am curious as to why you wouldn't also consider A6 seeing as it is more in line with those other two box options and you already have B18 in the design.

      Great question! I honestly should look into that. The original reason is that the client wanted to see what other brands had to offer and different price points, but JBL's A-series boxes sound wonderful and would "compete" with other brands, for sure.

    Hi Michael, what's the good RT60 for a 800+ capacity church with contemporary worship? Has immersive system such as L-Isa matured or will there be more developments in the pipeline? Are there real advantages in a church setting where people on stage are essentially stationary? Do the 5 front clusters suffice or you need surround speakers to truly experience?

    Just what I was looking for but my question is do you trust JBL‘s mapping system over ease Focus three? I ask because you can’t bring JBL speakers GLL into ease focus mapping to compare.

    Hi Michael, I see in your spreadsheet how to use the FAR calculation to find the horizontal coverage needed for a speaker. How would you determine the needed vertical coverage?

      Great question! That ultimately depends on the total trim height you have and the range ratio involved (the ratio of the distance from the speaker to the farthest seat in its zone to the closest seat in its zone.).
      If the range ratio is less than 4:1 (ideally less than 3:1) at a reasonable trim height, I'd roll with a point source and aim it at head height at the rear row, then measure the angle from the speaker to get to the first row, then double that to get the needed vertical coverage angle.

      @@MichaelCurtisAudio ok so using the "do i need delays" part of the spreadsheet I've got a distance ratio of 2.21 and a trim height of 15 feet (measuring from floor to the center of the speaker). In EASE focus 3 I have the speaker 6 feet in front of the audience. In EASE Focus, a vertical angle of about 17.5 hits the back row, and an angle of 58 hits the front row. So, about 120 degrees vertical coverage?
