- One of the most shocking reveals out of E3 in my opinion was in the Pirates of the Caribbean trailer we received when we hear Larxene tell Sora that Elsa may be One of the NEW pure lights, one of the new seven hearts because this is going to change everything we know about the Princesses of Heart!

I REALLY want Merida to be one of the new seven princesses as well and maybe give Ariel a second chance to re-deem herself to become one of the new seven princesses of heart! Why? Because in my opinion, Ariel is brave, kind, beautiful and has the most amazing talent for singing! Her heart is NOT just pure, it’s also strong! Ariel also has a strong will and character, she’s also born with royalty and she’s married to a royal! Plus, her heart DOES’NT have any darkness! AND.....her father did grant her the wish to be human permanently with her voice AND still stay with Prince Eric!

I would like to think that the main reason Sora and company are visiting mostly brand new worlds is because these are worlds from the future that came into being thanks to the Book of Prophecies. Which, in turn, could explain a few things like what had happened with Toy Story, and could even hypothetically explain how there could be a new set of Princesses of Hearts.
Considering that the two returning worlds have more to do with locating the black box may be a dead giveaway that the returning worlds are returning in order to provide clues as to the nature of its contents and whereabouts. Whereas the new worlds seem to provide a unique and different purpose. Specifically to locate a brand new set of Princesses of Heart. Toy Box may simply be present as a means of experimentation to see if it works, while Monstropolis, Arendelle, and Kingdom of Corona all have four new Princesses of Hearts in Boo, Elsa, Anna, and Rapunzel.
Of course, there's still a matter of then why San Fransokyo was conjured into existence, as well as where other potential new worlds would fit in. I honestly think it's likely that Kairi will remain a Princess of Heart; and if Agrabah returns (which I think it will), so too will Jasmine. But it's pretty clear that Xehanort is looking for a backup series of Princesses of Heart so as to not threaten the stability of the current universe.
So then, with Kairi and possibly Jasmine returning, and four suspected Princesses of Heart confirmed, who could the seventh be? And truth be told, it might very well turn up being Ventus. You see, unlike Boo, Elsa, Anna and Rapunzel, I think when Xehanort extracted Vanitas from Ventus' heart, it left his heart damaged, only having its void filled thanks in part to a newborn Sora. So by that logic, Ventus throughout Birth By Sleep was likely a heart of pure light thanks to some unnatural means. Making him, in turn, an artificial Princess of Heart. Which could explain why Xehanort is hell bent on finding Ventus in spite knowing that his heart would be incompatible as a Seeker of Darkness.
I think what Ventus represents is an artificial Princess of Heart.
Of course, we still do not know what the final two or three Disney worlds are going to be, so this is all just conjecture. I honestly do believe that the new Pure Lights are Kairi, Jasmine, Boo, Elsa, Anna, Rapunzel, and Ventus.

Crazy idea, but I read or watched somewhere that the Seven Princesses of Heart or their respective Guardians could work. You have the Disney Princesses representing the Princesses of Heart, and each Disney Princess has a corresponding Disney Prince.
Now, the guardian doesn't have to be a prince, and the princess doesn't need to be a princess. The games pretty much say that the X-blade is forged from 7 Lights and 13 Darkness. Xehnort ensured that he left multiple paths open to him.
7 Princesses of Heart

or
7 Powerful Lights
I want to say that the Original 7 Princesses of Heart are unchanged. Kairi, Alice, Jasmine, Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, and Snow White. All of these Princesses also had their happy endings from their respective movies except for Kairi.
The Guardians of Light are:
1. Sora
2. Micky
3. Riku
4. Kairi
5. Lea (He blocked Xehanorts Heart to save Sora, but in BBS, Terra got taken over really fast and Lea didn't. Lea also wore the robe that, we find out in Chain of Memories when DiZ gives the robe to Riku and Micky) protect the wearer from darkness (Riku wore this protective robe when he took the form of Ansem and retained control)
6. Terra (In Dream Drop Distance, Xehanort mentions that he lost control of Terra. (In 2.8, Terra struggles to regain control in front of Aqua) To finally reinforce this, Sora created 3 seperate beings when he stabbed himself with a keblade. The creation of Heartless Ansem and Xemnus (I think I spelt that right) could have also freed Terra's body from Xehanort's control) In blank points, he's with Ven's sleeping body in Land of Departure. Maybe Xehanort Discovered Ven's body using Terra and he gained the strength to brake free to save him or the freed Terra went to ensure the safety of Ven's body because he knew what Xehanort was doing from getting possessed.
7 Roxas/ Ven Ventus might be a guardian light if his heart can be restored to his body. Sora is looking to use a data version of Roxas to give Roxas a body. In recoded, two very important things were introduced: the book of prophecies and the existence of the data world with copies of Sora, Riku, and other characters. These data versions of the characters proved to have their own hearts. Roxas has his own heart, so why couldn't they use Data from the Data World to give him a new body. So between Roxas and Ven, they both have the potential for a recoverable body.
7 powerful lights
1. Ventus could easily fill the role because his Artificial Pure Heart Void of Darkness.
2. Elsa could serve as a potential Light or Darkness. Larxene probay wants to see which one she will decide because either way Elsa has incredible power. She froze her entire kingdom.
3. Rapunzel could also be a potential substitute because she's not only a powerful light, but she's got a knack for combat with her hair.
4. Merida because of her courage and unique skill with a bow and arrow.
5. Honey Lemon/ GoGo Tomago because they use their intellect to develop superhero gear they use to fight the villain.
6. Hercules because of his raw strength and heroics.
7. Calypso (Sea Goddess), Elazabith Swam (Pirate King), and Jack Sparrow (Do I need to explain this) However, I doubt that any light will be in the Pirates world because I feel like the focus of that world will be the black box.
These 7 powerful lights could be anyone with a strong enough pure heart, but I made the list out of suspicion that Xehanort would try to anticipate alternatives to the Guardians.
I doubt my third list of seven strong lights, so here's my list of the new Seven Princesses of Heart provided there will be seven new princesses because Ven and Aqua destroyed the failed X-Blade.
7 new princesses of heart
1. Kairi/Namine - I'm not exactly sure how this would work, but Namine and Kairi share a body. What are the odds that both Namine and Kairi are Princesses of Heart. Namine is already unusual.
Anna - (Frozen is a story based off of the Snow Queen which tells the story of a girl who travels north to save a boy, and childhood friend, from the Snow Queen.) Anna would logically make sense as a princess of heart because she's the one that helps Elsa overcome her fear or darkness.
Rapunzel - she's got healing hair, combat skills with her hair, and she ends up getting a bunch of bandits and roughians to sing about their dreams.
After those, I really don't know. Boo could fit the role, but I doubt it. Toys from Toy Story might work, but I have a feeling the the Toy Box world refers to the Black Box too.
Alternative 7 new guardians of light:
1. Riku Replica - he may be a creation of darkness, but he's devoted to protecting Namine.
2. Elsa - because of her power and love for her sister.
3. Flinn - He's willing to give his life to save Rapunzel and refuses to use her hair to heal himself in the movie. He shows an understanding of how others used her and refuses to use her even when he's about to die. By cutting her hair, the villain dies.
Do to a lack in confirmation, these potential lists come up short. However, I doubt Xehanort needs every alternative, he just needs 7 lights.
The thirteen darknesses will be more complex because they were gathered through time. However, I assume some of them were made into vessels like Sora. Even if they were against Xehanort, Young Xehanort still found ways of subduing them and turning them into vessels. Young Xehanort probably didn't just travel into Sora's present. He traveled through time from the beginning of the first game collecting vessels. Xehanort left his heart behind in Destiny Islands and traveled through time per the required rules. Xehanort couldn't change the outcome of history, but he still could gather the vessels as he traveled from the past to the present (The Unknown in Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts 1 could have been young Xehanort. Old Xehanort said that Sora helped him decide on the vesels. Young Xehanort also explained that he would forget everything he learned once he returned to his own time after reaching the present. Time in the dark realm also functions abnormally. Aqua proves this by turning back time to restore a bridge. She also battled her evil double in the magic mirror.
As for the 13 darknesses:
1. Master Xehanort
2. Xemnas
3. Ansem, Seeker of Darkness
4. Saix
5. Larxene
6. Young Xehanort
7. Luxord
8. Marluxia
9. Vanitas
10. Xigbar
11. Dilan ("Unstable condition")
12. Even ("Unstable condition")
13. Aqua - I don't think it's a dark magic mirror copy even if I wish it was the case. Aqua may have turned after Terra broke free. Eraquis somehow managed to live on in Terra, and I think the chains that appear when Terra fights for control is evidence of that. Terra successfully escaped control, and that could have been how that hooded figure Sora and Riku encountered encountered in the first game came to be. It was probably Xehanort's heart without a body wandering to different worlds. It would be interesting if a heart could freely travel around different worlds despite the division. I suspect that when Sora was saved Aqua was possessed. Despite all of Aqua's strength of heart and resolve, she spent at least 12 years in the realm of darkness that used her memories, emotions, and other things to wear her down. I think in the present she became too vulnerable to resist.
Sorry about the long theory. The only thing I can't think of is the return of Xion and the role of the Riku Replica. Both of them sorta vanished, but they were constructs of memories, so a consequence of them vanishing would be others forgetting them except only Riku, Micky, Namine, Lea, Larxene, and other characters from Castle Oblivion that didn't forget. It's possible that something might happen to them.
Dilan and Even might be "unstable" because they are fighting Xehanort's possession. What are the odds that Xehanort would leave those two as possible alternatives if he loses control of other vessels like Aqua or someone else. There's also a possible data recreation of Roxas and Ven's body sleeping somewhere to consider. Xion could get recreated with data too if you had access to it.

But I feel that what you stated may be correct. Although the x blade wasn’t complete when Ventus and Vanitas fought, it still could have created another 6 pure lights. It only adds to 7 because Kairi is still included, who was listed in the previous list of 7

They could do this bc imo a lot more than 7 pure hearts are out there. Some even confirmed to not be a Princess of Heart such as Ariel I still believe has a pure heart. I feel anyone who holds a Disney princess title is of pure heart. Like anything else, they an choose which to use and which not to.
The 7 princess of heart might have been chosen bc they were 7 known about but there are many potiential Seekers and many potiential Guardians so I refuse to believe there are not several potiential pure hearts and thst any combination used could work.
I found this to be obvious bc Disney is not about to let anyone considered a Disney princess not be considered of pure light. Idc if their story makes them seem not pure, a Disney princess is pure of heart, plain and simple. I do not take it literally that the 7 lights are in 7 specific girls. I believe these girls born of pure light are symbolic and thst any combination of 7 can be used and that the process summons the 7 lights thst came from the XBlade breaking and that it unlocks it. I just do not think they are in them bc going with thst story makes it finite who is and is not of pure light but Disney has so many characters that are and I feel the canon ones in KHIII are the actual official Disney princess with some exceptions of course.

Anna, Boo (I do not want to say Boo bc she is not qualified to be an official Disney Princess due to her age, but I also feel these will be taken from the world's and will not be characters who fight with you in that world. This is due to this being the pattern they have done in the last. But then what about Rapunzel. I could see her being one bc she is a Disney princess, but she also is likely the one to join you in her world so idk.
I am pretty sure Anna is one and I see Boo as being possible bc you know, we had Alice and all before.

I am prob wrong but I just have not seen enough confirmed worlds to go with all 7 being entirely new unless all of them are out of the box non canon Disney princess such as Boo and Lilo and such. I only picked them bc they are not the hero you team up with in their respective worlds. Tiana I'd but they have no black representation and her world could be there and her just not be in the trailers. I coukd easily see the last being Cinderella or Snow White. I know they were used before but again, unless they want to go way out of the box some will be recycled. I suppose Rapunzel is possible and she counts but why use her when she is also the hero who joins you when you choose to go to her world? I just really doubt it is her. But idk maybe the game will not let you return to worlds or they will exclude her in her world after the point in the story in which she is taken but all of this makes me doubt her being one.

Here are my predictions for who I believe are candidates for the 7 new lights: Elsa, Anna, Rapenzul, Boo? Jessie? Bo beep? Elizabeth? Meg? Lilo? - if the Lilo & Stitch is returning.

Mogs Ascension for Frozen I can see one of two ways it could work: both Anna and Elsa are princess of light or it’s believed to be Elsa but it later transpired to be Anna; Larxene captures Anna which causes Elsa to fight her with Sora, Donald and Goofy. I dubious about Boo being one but one can hope🤞

Here is a dumb theory. Maybe Xehanort is using these new princesses as distractions and he and the Organization somehow found a way back into the previous worlds. Master Xehanort is a keyboard master so he might have some knowledge that Mickey and Yen Sid aren't aware of. It sounds absurd. However, if Mickey can lock away worlds from Xehanort then who is to say Xehanort cannot lock away worlds from Mickey, Sora and Riku? He is a keyblade master after all. So, why wouldn't he have the Organization send Sora on a wild goose chase across different and new worlds?

Ok, so I'm still a pretty new fan of the franchise and I don't remember much from what I've seen but I think I have an idea. When the X-Blade shattered, it split into 7 light pieces and 13 dark pieces, right? I always felt that that was a really weird number difference. But what if there were just more pieces of light that they just never knew of?
The new line of princesses consist of Kiri again. So if you put ALL of the princesses of light together, that makes a total of 13 lights. 13 lights to serve against the 13 darknesses.
How the characters didn't know of the missing 6 lights, I don't know. Buts it's still something.

Great video i was wondering the same thing! In the DDD secret ending, Yes Sid explains how 7 pieces of light broke off to protect the 7 pure hearts of the world. So maybe the light from the original PoH went to new princesses? As to why.... maybe the light is sentient and is trying to escape from Xehanort by going into new vessels(princesses) that he doesn't know the locations of? Just throwing ideas out there! lol

Thereby implying that the light pieces of the x-blade are, in fact, within the princesses hearts themselves protecting them from within, which make sense because the x-blade is meant to safeguard Kingdom Hearts, the source of all light, and the Princesses act as a replacement for Kingdom Hearts in the current world, as Yen Sid states "Indeed. Those seven hearts make up the bases if all light in the world. If even one if those precious lights is lost, this world will once again give way to shadow."

They should just keep to the original seven not add more to it since it would add to the confusion. Kingdom Hearts is known for its original plots. So adding seven new ones just seems like an excuse to replace the original. I mean we met other princesses that weren't part of the line up like Ariel. Why do the new females even have to be part of the Seven Princesses of Pure Light? Doesn't that spit in the face of other female characters like Ariel, Mulan, Jane, and Wendy. If there are new princesses then it just seems like Nomura just wants to forget about writing roles for the previous seven.
Of those 4, Ariel really is the only "Disney Princess" in KH1. Mulan part of the trademark, similar to Alice, but the Land of Dragons wasn't until post Princess of Heart storyline. Do i agree with it. Eh, but my only hope is that there is an explanation to it.

@@jeffkoenig4250 Maybe. I don't think Nomura actually specified how old a princess of heart has to be to gain that title. I wish he could have just stuck with keeping the original princesses of heart and worked from there.

Calling it now. Elsa is not a princess of heart. Anna is. Elsa is a queen. Anna is the princess.
KRGOOD They don't have to actually be princesses to qualify. Alice wasn't a princess.
Stupid theory, but hey, it's KH after all: When Naminé became a person, she inherited half of Kairi's pure heart, making her equally a Princess of Heart. The only reason why Naminé couldn't be used was because she was half a heart, and thus fell under Xehanort's radar of where the seven lights were located. When Naminé became part of Kairi again, Kairi got her entire heart back and that's why she's still a Princess of Heart in KH3. As for the other Princesses of Heart, obviously Rapunzel, Boo, and Anna and/or Elsa.
The other three being imo Lilo, Tiana, and (this choice might surprise people) Judy Hopps. Why Judy? Because she's already a guardian of sorts as a police officer in Zootopia. She's always felt the desire to protect people and she's capable of turning people away from the darkness, like Nick. Plus Nick and Judy were one of the limited edition medals in KH Union back when the movie first came out. Imo that's a pretty good indicator that if she appeared in the game that introduces all the new stuff, she'll make an appearance in another title as well.
I think it's that they just need pure lights to go with the pure darkness to summon kh, it doesnt matter who keep in mind that they used ventus as a pure light for vanitas and he even said at a point to aqua that she would be a good spare or backup (or something along those lines). So its possible that they dont need the princesses specifically just anyone thats of pure light, it just so happens that the princesses are probably the best choice.
I like the idea for seven new princesses of light. Maybe a love interest for Riku. Sora has Kairi.

Well, the game explain the princesses of heart have fufill there purpose, so there power was giving to others. In other words, when you have one of the seven light, you have a purpose to fufill
I find interresting that Kairi is the only one who hasn't fufill her purpose. Maybe this could lead to an arc where she search what her purpose is...
I can only think of the answer COULD be, some how,Mickey "LOCKED" access to the other worlds/princesses In this 3rd installment. So Xehanort has to find NEW girls/princesses,since the other worlds aren't accessible anymore.

After I wrote this post www.theprincessblog.org/2018/06/new-princesses-of-heart-in-kingdom.html and watched more Kingdom Hearts videos, I realized that they mentioned often that there were seven guardians of the light established as Sora, Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Aqua, Terra, and Ventus, so maybe the quip in the trailer was a red herring to make you think there would be new Princesses of Heart when really the keyblade wielders have the strongest hearts to protect the light.
Nomura has clarified that these are the another set of Princesses of Heart and that Kairi still is one.

The fact that there are 7 new pure hearts may also answer the question of who were the 7 pure hearts before the ones we see in kh1. Who was the 7th princess of heart before kairi? What if when their stories come to a close they chose to pass on the mantle?

Were Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, Cinderella, Kairi, Aurora and Alice always the seven pure lights?
Kingdom Hearts was lost to darkness during the Keyblade War, but that took place centuries before Birth by Sleep, right? All the princesses were teenagers by the time Birth by Sleep took place(except Kairi and Alice) however when we see them in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II they appear to be the same age, does that mean they never grow old? Kairi aged throughout the series but none of the other princesses do.
Do they stop aging after a certain point? Are they immortal because they are the seven pure lights and MUST exist? Can it be passed down? Like Ariel married Eric at the end of Kingdom Hearts II, so does that mean Melody can take her mothers place as a new pure light?
Probably not. It can be assumed that it's more of a incarnation type of thing, when a princess dies their pure light goes to find another newly born heart(or however it is decided). I say this because you are right in saying that they do age and that it's been like you said a very long time from the first Keyblade war, however the reason that Snow, Aurora, and Cinderella all look the same from bbs is because that's when Maleficent began capturing them. All of the princesses were under a comatose state not much different from that of Ven's in which they don't age.

Please tell me more about the 7 pure hearts from before. Regardless of the wording 7 NEW pure hears have come into existence and that is what the discussion is about.
Pure Lights have been used to refer to the PoH before.
i have to agree she just said new 7 lights. and she is going after a princess. . . i don't think they would make another 3rd set of 7 lights when they already have the recent 7 poh. the new 7 poh that they want to go after and the ones from DDD. "7 guardians of light" excluding the 13 seekers of darkness "org. 13" . anymore 7 would just be too much i think. perhaps they just don't feel like bringing out the old princesses but rather want to show that their are varity of other pure princesses out there that can be used as an attempt to get what their goals are.
There's really not a difference especially in the context it's been received in. The only seven pure hearts we know of belong to the PoH? It makes less sense for them to randomly introduce another 7 characters with pure hearts and pretend it isn't the exact same thing.

Never have we ever been told there could be hundreds, it's never even been hinted at that there was anymore than the seven we knew and therefore it makes no sense to act like the idea that there are hundreds has ever been a thing, ergo it changes what we knew.
I think the new seven hearts should be Rapunzel, Elsa, Anna, Tiana, Merida, Moana and Kairi (or Namine)

“Wreck it Ralph” will make an appearance in Kh Union x, so i’m Gonna predict that Vanellope will be the 5th member of the new seven hearts, Tiana and Moana will be the 6th and 7th member.
I don’t think Merida will be one of them because, Similar to Ariel, Merida is selfish, makes bad choices and ends up hurting a family member. So I’m leaving her out.
Pocahontas will never make an appearance in kh because she’s a real person and they don’t wanna mess up with Native American history.

Could it be possible that we were wrong about who the "7 Guardians of Light" were? I mean, is it possible that, instead of the Guardians being Keyblade Wielders (i.e., Sora, Riku, and all the other main protagonists), that the Guardians could actually be other Princesses? Not the Princesses of Heart, mind you, but other Princesses whose purpose is to guard those Princesses? Not that all the Guardians need be Princesses-some could be male for all we know. That's just a theory. Namely because I've always thought it strange that Kairi could somehow be both a Princess of Heart AND a Guardian of Light, when it's been heavily implied that the two groups should not share any overlapping members.

I also considered this idea as it has always been up in the air about the the guardians of light were and Nomura even once said it was going to be a surprise who the members were and you would think they would't be as interchangeable as people are making it seem like "Oh Aqua is a Nort, now they need to find a replacement" but that's not how being destined to do something works, so yes I would say if they aren't recreating another 7 pure hearts this is what I think I'd like it to be especially since it does allow them to be even more creative with who they bring in to the fold and I have been saying for years I don't understand how Kairi can be A PoH and one of the seven lights to protect the PoH....

A new update from Nomura confirms that there will be six new princesses of heart and Kairi will remain one and that these are the pure lights mentioned in the trailer.

Kairi _is_ officially still a Princess of Heart. That has been her role since the beginning, and it will continue to be. It works for her though, as she has never once shown any signs of darkness within her.

Allow me to put in a counter theory. The reason the organiztion are looking for seven new hearts, is because, as Goofy pointed out in 0.2, most of the pathways to other worlds are now gone. Including what seems all the one to the princesses. Meaning the organization have no other choice but to look for more pure hearts of light. Now to counter against your "how 7 hearts of light are created thing", I think it not a matter of being created, rather I think they always have existed. I think a heart of light is simply one pure of heart, meaning there can be many of them across the worlds. Now who those seven might be, I don't think they have to be princesses, rather just pure hearted people, and out of all worlds revealed so far, I've actually thought of seven in mind. Hercules a true hero, Boo the pure toddler, Rapunzel the girl who wants to see the world outside her tower, Baymax the kind hearted robot, Elizabeth the adventurous woman, Andy the boy with a strong bond to his toys, and Anna the girl who would to anything for her sister. All them seem ti fit similar traits that all the princesses had, kind, innocent, supportive, and friendly.
Based on the established lore though it wouldn't make sense for the change to have anything to do with the lanes between or to say that the pure hearts have always been around, we KNOW that the Princesses of hearts came into existence out of the aftermath of the keyblade war and that there are SEVEN, if they were to change or gain a new 7 they can't just make it "oh because". To say that just because the lanes closed and Xehanort cannot reach those princesses... that all of a sudden there is more pure hearts or that they change to ones he can reach doesn't make any sense with what we already know and what DDD establishes. You are right in saying they don't necessarily have to be princesses, but this has been established since Kingdom Hearts 1; the reason they are called the PoH is not because they are actual princesses but because when gathered together it grants power over Kingdom Hearts and that's why even though not a princess Alice is a PoH.
But there's literally no way else around it though. Why else would they need a new 7, to say that the x-blade to happened to make 14 lights wouldn't make much sense either and goes against the current lore as well.
What I mean is if all of a sudden because the lanes have changed there's now different or more pure hearts when we already know that the 7 pure hearts are the source of light in ALL the worlds not just the ones that the pathways are open to it negates everything, it would be a huge retcon from what has been established. However, if there's a good explanation as to how these pure lights come to be then it would be building off the already established lore and not changing it. I don't think it's impossible that maybe the lanes closing can play a part in the reasoning behind creating more, maybe Xehanort realizes he cannot target the original princesses and needs more and creates the new ones but that still leaves the question that I have been asking which is how did it happen? The lanes closing alone can't be the explanation, but it's a brilliant place to start that I honestly didn't consider!

I always thought of the Princesses of Hearts as girls who inherited this unique power. The ability to have a pure heart of light was passed down to them from generation to generation, all the way back from the time of the great keyblade war. It wouldn't be too far fetched for there to be more than just 7 people with this inherited power.
You're right we have to assume more than just the princesses we have met have been been pure lights but not more than 7 at once, and unless you are suggesting that all of the other PoH aside from Kairi die then it is a bit far fetched to say that this is the cause of there being six new lights.

No, not dead. But I can see there being more than 7 at once. In Kh1 Maleficent needed 7 pure hearts together to open kingdom hearts, but this doesn't limit there to only being 7 in existence. Later, Xehanort said he needed 7 pure hearts with 13 darknesses to forge the X-blade. There is no limited number of people who qualify to be one of the 13 (aparently anyone can serve as a vessel), so perhaps the same rules apply to the pure of hearts.
We are told that only 7 are created though, Yen Sid even says there are the exact number of guardians of light for every PoH and after I made this video is was confirmed Kairi is still one of the seven and just the other 6 have changed. Not all of the "darknesses" Xehanort has found have been the darknesses he needs like Lea, Ienzo, and Even were all choices but clearly not what he is looking for so it's not that they are unlimited, we know very little but what we do know is that the seven pure lights, seven guardians and thirteen darknesses should all be destined characters for those roles based on what we have already been told which is why if KH3 is going to change these rules it has set in previous titles it will need to be explained well.
There is a lot unknown. I agree that if there are any changes to the previously established rules to the lore, there will need to be a logical justification and explanation that is consistent with what we've already seen. If the writers just go changing things without regard to the originals, than it is just pointless recoming.

Ok now I get it. We know of the seven princess of heart but not the seven lights that protect the hearts. I think the 7 princess of heart and 7 light are actual one meaning they are in unity (together). You cannot completel the xblade withought the 7 lights. Xehanort use 7 the seven hearts but not the light with darkness! That’s why he failed.
Which would explain the incomplete x blade. The princess that we know of aren’t the main ingredient for the true key of hearts (xblade).
What probably happen was during Xehanort first as seen in his first attempt in opening Kingdom hearts. He failed and was spilt into a heartless and nobody , both carrying his legacy in vain kingdom hearts. Both went about getting there through linear means which gave them Different outcomes as kingdom hearts actually provides what the heart desires which could possibly mean that kingdom hearts is sentient. Anyway both incarnations failed as they too were incomplete in their work. Ow with his resurrection and the knowledge from both counterparts. Xehanort now knows what he needs to complete the Key of hearts to gain access to the True kingdom of hearts.
One more thing. The princesses of heart are a result of keyblade war since we have creation of the key of hearts with the keys of light and darkness. Only the key of hearts is the only way to get there.
They were still able to make a xblade because princesses hearts are made of light but they are not the actual light if that makes sense.
Makes sense since when you cross light and darkness, at its center is where you would find the hearts.
You need a trinity to get the full xblade .
