- Another tribute to one of the greatest comic book villains of all time! The Green Goblin! Just like my Doc Ock tribute it has clips from the 60s cartoon, 90s cartoon, the first Spider-Man movie and The Spectacular Spider-Man with music by Danny Elfman, "Green Goblin's theme".

Great tribute! LOVE the GOblin's music. ALso, the music from 3:30 - 3:33 is one of the best if not the best piece of music for an alter ego I've ever heard.
I love the Green Goblin so much, and Danny did a GREAT job with this music!! Beautiful!! I love the fact that you included all the depictions of him in this tribute!! And each clip and picture is timed perfectly to the music!!
Personally, I LOVE all the Goblins. But if it were up to me: The looks of the 90's GG, plus the voice and character development of the Spectacular GG equals the best depiction of the GG EVER!! Dude, I would die of fangirl-ness if it was done like that! XD

I don't think he is under-appreciated. The under-appreciated Spider-Man villains will have to be Mysterio, Sandman, Kraven, Scorpion and Vulture. The overrated ones? The symbiotes.
But yes, Spectacular's version is arguably the best version of Gobby and Norman outside the comic books.

the Goblin is funny, intelligent (i'm sorry, but he is more intelligent than doc ock), he's hungry for power, he doesn't matter how many people has to kill, to get the power.

There are really a lot of differences between the different versions in their universes. The Goblin in the movie is the most serious I guess. The Goblin in the ultimate universe is a big monster. And in the spectacular series he's a crazy bambarder, like the original.^^ Who do you like the most?

Venom and Carnage are perhaps the most bad ass and cool. Doc Ock can visually give Spidey the best fights. But the Green goblin is THE Spider-Man villain. When you look at the evidence, he is so overwhelmingly number 1, its actually ridiculous. No one has hurt Spidey like he has. no one has hated Spidey like he has. no villain has garnered Spider-Man's own hate as much as he has and i ain't even just talkin about Gwen. Best Spideey villain of all time

@movienaut I ACTUALLY didn`t mind The Film Costume :
1 . It was decided early on The Cloth Costume with Purple Hood WOULDN`T WORK in A Big-Budget Live-Action Film ( It would JUST look silly )
2 . They went through MULTIPLE Designs ( SOME WITH The Purple , SOME WITHOUT ) Ultimately , it was decided The All-Green Mechanical Costume with The Yellow Eyes WAS THE MOST Practical for The Film !
3 . It fit Norman`s Portrayal as A Military Scientist-turned-CEO in The Film
Mix Lex Luthor And The Joker Together And You Get Norman Osborn And Green Goblin

I'm glad they didn't show the Green Goblin from Spider-Man Unlimited because that one was a hero and it brought absolute disgrace to the Green Goblin's reputations as a Super Villain and the show would have been on longer if they had kept it as a regular Spider-Man show

@1993MovieMan Completly agree with everything you said plus we forget before Spider-Man there were literally only 6 genuinly good comic book superhero films ever released over the span of 30 years or so. it was just cool at that point to see Spider-man and the Goblin duke it out on screen. at the end of the sday it was mainly the aesphetics of the costume, which never bothered me, that was inaccurate Gobby and Osborn themselves were pretty accurate and thats what counts

Who is your favourite goblin; Norman, Harry or Roderick? 4. Me it's hobgoblin because he doesn't suffer from amnesia 24/7 like Osborns and is always in control.
From the 90's show and the 2002 movie, Norman is the original and best out of them all.

The Steve Goblin is clearly the best
It's the only good version outside the comic books. (With the exception of the movie version.) And even though Venom is my favorite Spider man villain (Even if they made him an anti hero later on, seriously aren't there enough of those?!) i'd have to agree that most of the fans seem to brush the other villains off as insignificant. I could really care less for the other symbiotes though.
I think the song "Sad But True" by Metallica fits the best for the goblin from the ultimate universe.

Well, Green Goblin was great maybe because he truly hurt the hero by killing his girlfriend. But he is a great master planner (Sorry Gobby, Dock Ock took that title first).
I hated Dafoes version. He does fit as Osborn, but the Goblin costume? Damn, made me sick all the time. Did not like it at all.
But the best Gobby in my oppinion is Spectacular Goblin. He is a genius, allways one step ahead, cultural talent, and the way he talk makes me smile! :)

@TheSpectacularSpidey visually the 90s show nailed the look of Gobby to the comics more accuratly but thats just aesphetics, Spectacular did a better job of GG than the 90s show imo, but i did like him back in the 90s show. it was mainly Norman i didn't like Norman in the 90s show was weak willed in Spectacualr he was a bad ass like in the comics
