FYI you normally fly with your heels on the ground and balls of feet mid-pedal. You only lift your feet fully onto pedal when needing to brake. You will find ot easier to make small movements. Ex-military aircrew with 10 years in P-3 Orion. I also have those exact pedals, put some Nyogel 767A on the metal rails to dampen the movement hugely and make them feel like real rudder pedals!
Interesting, I have FFB rudder pedals which are not mapped to the games rudder, but get/inject all their data using telemetry via a third party app. I do although have the nose wheel mapped, for when the airflow is low on the ground. They have worked perfectly from day 1.
Yes, the initial physics seem disappointing, after all the hype about the new flight model. I'm not a real pilot, and even I can tell something's not right. I've only flown X-Plane before.
Thanks, good tip - I encourage others to try it! For whatever reason, personally I don't like neutral zones, same thing with steering wheel settings for racing sims. I do better without a neutral zone.
Was having trouble. Thanks for the video very helpful.
Cool, glad I could help out! Feel free to let me know about anything else you might be having trouble with, thanks.
Great tip! Thanks 👍

Wow, hey thanks for the tip, I appreciate the insight from an experienced pilot!
@@FlightSimSwim You're welcome 🫡
Check my edit about Nyogel, Absolutely mandatory for these pedals
I will try that, they aren't the smoothest pedals - that's for sure. Thanks again!

Cool, what rudder pedals and software do you use?
@@FlightSimSwim They are Winwing Skywalker's with a VPforce Big servo DIY kit fitted to it. Runs via VPforce Telem.
Nice!
Ya, they need to fix some physics because on take off you are typically pushing hard on that right rudder with a piston single in the real world.
Agreed, even after takeoff there you can feel the physics are weird in the air.
What should happen is for Asobo to fix this issue. Real planes have a linear 1:1 pedal movement yet dont give violent movement to input.

It would be even nicer if you did put a neutral zone.

What is more peculiar: you making a video for this, or people being happy with it? Man, this is so trivial.
