I live close to D.C. and have been to the National Mall several times in my life- but not recently. I really need to take a day this Summer and just devote it fully to the African American History Museum again.

You really should! I wish we had more time to explore. It is such a beautiful city and we love love love the African American Museum of History and Culture. You easily spend a week in that place alone!

I went to college there. You should visit the National Zoo, Inner Harbor,Howard University, Georgetown area, Adams Morgan and The National Museum of African Art
