This is clearly one Carnival that will never be over - Judith sounded just as good post operation at the 50th Anniversary concert at the Albert Hall. She is a remarkable women with a fantastic voice. We've grown old together and I named my daughter Georgina after Georgy Girl.
It's gratifying but spooky to see/hear my recordings popping up all over you tube! This track I actually recorded in Brisbane on April 15, 1998 on my minidisc. I did record the Manchester 2000 show too, but the group had by then dropped this song and most of the 'Future Road' tracks. If you hop over to my channel, I am belatedly uploading some of my Seekers material - by the time you read this, the best bit of the Brisbane concert, the 'Treble Clef Unplugged' section, should be uploaded there.
Thank you for this unique posting. I have to say that the video of various clips is a great touch, too! Future Road is such a fine album with so many cool songs such as this one. I can't believe it has never been reissued!
Judith Durham ...The singer who married an Englishman describes the Englishman's approach with true Aussie directness. ''His life is geared towards birds. In England life is more indoor, and men and women spend more time with each other. Outdoor recreations make Australian men more extrovert. In Australia, a man would rather impress his mates than his girl, with his drink and his chat. Her turn comes when he is ready to leave the pub.....if he is sober''. Judith Durham, from one of the clippings in the video with an entertainingly pensive observation.
I love it! The beat gets my feet moving. Thanks for posting.

Thank you, Denny, for posting this treasure. It's daily medicine for me. And many thanks to rich963 for recording it!

Thank you for posting this. I went to this concert with my parents as an 8 year old, it's a faint yet cherished memory :))) Cheers, Adam!
