The only thing is the metal pull down is to touch the material in order to put the laser at the proper height, then moved out of the way when framing and machine use, nice easy to understand video for beginners, some people go on and on and lose their audience this was simply, thanks
You're going to love this little machine! Between the Cricut and Xtool I feel like I can make about anything. I just need a machine to cook dinner now and I'll be all set. LOL
Thank you, this makes me feel much more confident about making the ornaments I have downloaded for my first cut project. As an xtool newborn this was very helpful! Saying the name of what you were pressing was very helpful. Another video I watched, the creator kept saying "click that button" and i'm like "WHICH BUTTON?", so thank you for saying the name of what you were pressing.
You're welcome! I know I need things spelled out better for myself too so that's how I try to teach! Have fun with your ornaments - they're great for beginner projects!
This is a good beginner project! I always need something to give me immediate results to encourage me to try more. LOL So this was perfect for me! Hope you have fun creating!
Hi i love the tutorial. Ive just set my d1 up and im doing a glass. when i Frame the cross hairs are just going side to side across the glass and not the other way. Could you please help? Thank you
Thank you for this video. I ordered my XTool yesterday. Can't wait to receive it. Do you think the enclosure is necessary in your opinion? I'll be using the XTool in my office which has one window.
I have mine in my craftroom and I do find the enclosure to be useful. I live in Michigan and can't have windows open all year. When I first got mine it was summer and I opened the two windows in the room and put a fan in the one window to suck the air outside. But I still had quite a bit of smell throughout the whole house. Certain things you engrave are more toxic than others so I just want to get it out as best I can. If you want to make your own enclosure there are some great examples on RUclips of DIY enclosures. I definitely feel like the fan that comes with the XTool enclosure isn't quite powerful enough and I will be upgrading it.
@Dusty Blue Cottage good evening 😊 thank you so much for replying back to my comment. When you say you will be upgrading it, do you mean you will remove the fan that's already there or will you build your own? Sorry I'm just trying to figure out what would be best. I live in NY and it's been pretty cold out here although today was not so bad.
@@gemjay The one we're seeming to head toward would be using the xtool enclosure but we'd get a new, larger fan that would sit next to the enclosure. The original fan that came with the enclosure would be gone. You'd have a few inches of flexible house that would go to the larger fan and then more hose that would head out the window. Once we decide and make the changes I'll be sure to do a video on it.
Hi, I'm so happy I found you because you explained everything so perfectly. I just purchased my xtool and when I click on the frame button to make sure the lazer goes around the area, all it does is go forward and backwards and I have not been able to find a troubleshoot for this. I was hoping you might know what the problem is. Also, how did you learn everything about the xtool? Is there a tutorial site to help me?
Hi! I'm glad you're here! I actually had the same problem a few days ago. In my situation, I had dislodged a connection in the black box that is on the underside of your gantry bar (the bar that has the actual laser module hooked to it.) I had bumped the connection and knocked it loose when I was placing my honeycomb under the laser module. So check to see if those connections are snug. - I've been learning through other youtubers and trial and error - but so much fun! Please let me know if that fixes your problem!
@@DustyBlueCottage I disconnected everything and reconnected, then I Uninstaller and reinstalled creative space and it is still not working. I will have to call customer support. Darn, I was really hoping it would be an easy fix.
I would definitely use the air assist. It helps prevent burning and charring as you cut. It's not filtering the air. But, if you're in an open garage and have adequate ventilation your probably don't need the enclosure.
we're going to jump over to design bundle...? why does it need the annoying 'going to go ahead and' added to it?As soon as I here the first one I know every instruction that follows will start with 'we're going to go ahead and...' Unwatchable.
I finally feel confident to get started!! Please do more videos. You are the perfect teacher! Thank you so much!!❤
Thanks again! More videos are on the way!
Finally! A good comprehensive video for a beginner! Thank you!

Hi! Love your video. So helpful. Having trouble with the engrave function. It keeps filling in the a’s, p’s, and o’s. Do you have a suggestion?
Hi! Sorry I just saw this comment! Were you able to figure it out? It seems like it would be an issue with the svg.
