Moisture inside the optic, cracked glass under normal use, battery only lasting a few months and parts rattling around inside the housing. Not to mention how massive the optic body is for such a tiny window. ACRO is overall a failure for Aimpoint standards imo. It’s just not a great design. Currently I think the RCR is the only enclosed non Chinese optic worth anything. Hopefully SIG drops a useable Romeo M17 with the Romeo X enclosed using a normal footprint.

I just bought the m17x love it so far. Never been an sig guy but living in NH you can find employees who help with discounts. Gun with optic went from $1449 to $815 out the door. Worth every penny!
Sig wouldn’t fix my brand new Romeo 2 when I sent it in for a fix, but the store I bought it from agreed that it was defective and gave my money back, never trusting Sig again!

It was after the 30 day return policy had expired. I got rid of all my Sigs after that and won't be back.
I hope the quality is worth the $800 price tag. I thought about buying a Romeo zero for my 365 until I read all the issues of batteries dying in 2-4 months.

Loctite red if you really don't trust blue. It's not like you will need to take the dot off, since the battery is replaced from the side. Also, just spot check it whenever you field strip to clean the slide.
Why must Sig insist on attaching the rear sight to the optic plate/cover? I bought a sig p365xl a year or two ago after 15+ years of carrying mid sized glocks, and I am so happy with my decision. That being said, for some reason(despite the regular p365s not being like this), they mounted/attached the rear sight to the optic plate/cover, such that I can't switch it out for the irons of my choice(not that the X-ray sights are horrible or anything, just not what I prefer), but even worse, it makes it so that I lose my rear sight if I mount an optic, which I am leaving mote and more towards doing. And in typical Sig fashion, wouldn't you know it they changed the XLs(all versions of the 365 I think actually) so that they now have a seperate rear sight dovetail behind the optic plate. So I guess now I have to buy a new slide.🙄🙄 At least this new one gives you a rear sight and a dot.
I used to break my optic off racking my weapon on its holster. I like how the iron sites would still be there after that inst of firing off the corner of the slide.
I like it, particularly the multi-recticle feature. More MRD options out there, the better for all us. My hope is a version that can mount on any pistol, not just for Sig.
Yup and they released the compact version of the Romeo X (which is the civilian version of this optic) but they haven't released the full-size version yet

No. It won't. The screw cannot get into the pistol to cause a malfunction. Same screw that is used for this is the same screw that already attaches the sight plate onto the MHS guns.

So since you install it via screws from under the slide, likely means you'll have to remove the optic just to change the battery. Which means to re-zero your optic after a battery change. Like the Romeo Zero optic (threw mine in the trash).
Im really unimpressed by their lineuo these dsys i think no one was selling the gun the mikitsry shouldve adopted. They upgraded for iraq and afghanistan but downgrsded for ww3 and our taxes didnt go down at all but at least the magazine capacity went up

I dont love Sig optice. I have a Romeo Zero on my P365 because thats what they put on them when they trick them out themselves and because I got a good deal on it. For one everyone (all the gun stores Ive seen) seems to run it without the housing. And it looks so cool and sleek without the housing but then everyone complains that they banged it into something once and it broke. You need that housing and it just doesnt look nearly as cool or sleek. Its control button is like inside near the actual lense and you cant access it without smudging the lense up with a finger print. Plus that dot itself looks like a smudged fingerprint. Lol. Its just not crisp. Finally even though there are 8 brightness settings its like 1-4 is too dim and 5-8 is way too bright.
Where is the battery compartment? I went to holosun because you don’t have to dismount your sight just to change a battery. It’s also one of the most versatile since you can have red or green. Dot or circle. If this new one can’t match this…. Holosun will be keeping my business.
Did sig fix the foreign mechanics that make it go off on small bumps, so t need to carry a gun that I have to worry about it shooting me, great gun when not random firing

I’ve had almost every sig I own fail on me lemon barrel on mcx, broken firing pin on 226, constant ftf on 1911, 2 Romeo 5s sheer threads at the correct tq spec etc etc. so I don’t believe anything they say at this point.
