- Doing a quick demo of one of my Waylon Jennings Leather Covered Telecasters. This Tele has a version of the pattern that you see on the Telecaster at the opening of the TV Show. Find me on Facebook at / sixstringshowcase
If I'd didn't know any better, I'd say he is playing the guitar in his long johns, which is pretty cool!

Cmon man, you gotta do a lesson for good ol boys. Thats the only way to play that one. Forget a capo
The second song is Meskin', not a lot of people know that one.
The only thing I can see wrong with it is the string saddles at the bridge it's got 6 independent saddles like all the newer guitars Waylon's had the old style saddles where each saddle carried two strings at the bridge and if I remember correctly they were actually brass, not sure on that specifically.
Actually, the bridge on that guitar was/is a vintage-style 3-saddle bridge. Look more closely. Also, Waylon modified a few of his Telecasters. The one Keith Urban owns now had an upgrade of all gold hardware, including a larger 6-saddle gold bridge.

what kind of pick ups and phasers are you using to get that sound?
Texas Special Telecaster pickups. It was a phasor that was in the Yamaha THR10C amp.
opengee aren't those amps killer? how do you like the neck pickup? I've heard they're pretty good.

It's just a phaser effect.

What effect pedal do i need to get for the waylon sound?
it's a phaser or a flanger.
Boss phaser PH-1 or MXR PHASER 90.thats what i’v herd.but it’s great for 70’s rock sounds also 🎸

I take it this version is in Open G lol? Cmon bro, where or how did you learn to play this? Most guys can't figure out Open turnings by ear
It's in Standard Tuning, EADGBE. If you look at my left hand at the beginning, you see I am playing a regular E chord, then an A, and then a B power chord, just alternating bass notes. I'm not really playing it that well... at least not by my ears! lol

@@jcdc6492 I don't think I could make one that's better than this video. You can see the movements of both hands from an angle that shows it pretty clearly.
It looks like youre playing a blender chord where you its an E. Anyway you could redo a vid (its only 1 min tune) with camera on your left hand? Its tough looking up the neck like that bud. Im a solid intermediate +. Thanx for your time, I dont mean to be a pest
