It’s so sad to see how many of our voting population is just willfully ignorant and uninformed about the candidates, the policies, the workings of government or the events that take place. These people live on headlines and vote accordingly. I wish it was required to take a basic US government quiz before every time a citizen votes. Maybe democracy is a bad idea after all smh lmao

Plato once said, "maybe not everyone deserves the right to vote" they exiled him to die, despite it being a real concern that if you have a bunch of people who don't understand the nuances and "don't care about politics" but you still let them vote despite their lack of information, we don't know how good their memory is, we can't assume they are even educated, eventually you just get a bunch of idiots voting on the appeal of ethos and how they feel about a particular person, so you basically get once side to campaign and call the other side "basically Hitler" and "wants to eradicate homosexuality" then people are like "he's too extreme and radical and goes against my values, I'm voting for the other guy" and that's basically idiot warfare, it should be a selective/representative democracy, you should basically be forced to pass a media literacy course and pass a IQ test to qualify for voting to make sure you know how to spot fake/biased sources, how to compare multiple articles to get the facts, and make sure all your mental faculties are coherent to logic and the laws of the reality.
I don't think a quiz would really solve that problem! There are a lot of smart people that are just completely brainwashed and like you said only base things off of headlines and vote basically on identity politics and not policies! Also adding on to your make people take a test they should make people take a test and pass it to be able to have a kid LOL!!

They like to say russia caused this but in reality we didn't have to be affected by russias decision because again, since we stopped our own resource-mining, democrats made it so we had to rely on russia for these resources. Trump warned against this to germany back in 2017 I think it was. They laughed at him, while making russia rich by buying their product.. as a NATO country...
Also, it was us engaging and threatening NATO membership on all of russias surrounding countries is what is causing them to lash out. Especially true for Ukraine.
