RedBull was iconic, But Nili this tournament will always be closer to my heart.
There’s just something comfortable about this tournament, it feels like a family gathering more than anything else. Absolutely loved it.

NAC is the epitome of how awesome and wholesome the aoe community is. All the top players and casters just chilling with each other, joking, laughing, encouraging, messing around. It's just so pure. Today i played this final on my parents Television screen, and managed to get them to watch some of it!
My father remarked, that he remembers buying us Age of Empires 2 as kids.
he couldn't BELIEVE there was a tournament with cash prizes, let alone a pro scene, after all this time since the game came out. Needless to say he was impressed haha.
Anyways just wanted to share a little moment!

What a performance from everyone in the tournament! It was an absolute joy watching. The first match, just insane. Mr. Yo with 3 castles in Hera base, monks, Organ guns. Hira losing 4 Onagers, 3 bombard cannons to Monks, and still finding a way to win. Damn!!!!! just insase, insane.

Just one question :( why do you have to put names in title? was watching yesterday Daut vs freakin Andy, and YO vs. ACCM, because I am unable to watch live, and than I wanted to see next round, but all of sudden first video was finals YO vs, Hera so I ve got spoiled out, and riht now I wont watch any other series because I will know how it will end..... so maybe for the future just put in the title Finals/semifinals, like memb is doing, because otherwise it do not have much point uploading if you get spoiled out immidietally.

Hey Nili, thanks for hosting the fifth installment of by far the most entertaining tournament format in AoE!
I know you have retired and this will probably not be read, but I wish you had uploaded the full 12+ hour videos to youtube. I was not able to catch the event live, but I have been watching all the matches one by one on youtube.
After watching all the matches (that are available on RUclips) from Day 1 & 2, I saw in a comment that there were even interviews after the matches and so on, so I found the full 12 hour streams in your twitch history. Unfortunately, twitch only keeps them for 2 months, so Days 1-3 are already gone, and Day 4 is about to disappear today, with the rest to follow soon.
There is so much entertainment in the streams in addition to the matches. And as another plus, we don't get spoiled about the results of a match from the length of the video. I'm sure there is a good reason why you decided to split the days to separate videos (and that reason is probably the youtube algorithm) but I think many people would love to watch (or rewatch) the full uncut event footage, perhaps in a secondary channel?

I watched as much as I could, unfortunately had to work quite a lot the first week, but then was glued to it. Hope you can come back for a 6th edition - I see no reason why not given the generosity of the AoE scene :)

NAC3 was the first i watched on stream. NAC4 was such a good Tournament too. And NAC5 was the best E-Sports Tournament for me. Big Productions like Blast are not realy better.
Microsoft is missing a big chance if they not fully sponsor a NAC6 and Nilis and the Teams work. I know Nili has to move on but with the financial support wonders could happen.

Hera unbeatable at the moment - and Nili definitely the best host in AoE, just as unbeatable as Hera. Really sad you can't make a living off it anymore - but I hope to keep seeing you in the community in the future.

the worst thing about todays AOE2 is that only Hera is in his Prime.
It seems like a fair number of players are at their prime, just that right now Hera is on another level. At the moment Hera is like Michael Jordan at his best and is extremely difficult to defeat. That doesn't mean that there aren't a bunch of great stars who are just abit below him who are playing great as well who are capable of beating him.

I must say I'am very disappointed with these titles that spoils the matches before. I Just fished the round of six and then this pops up. Feels like there is no point in watching on now which is sad. Then none spoiling thumbnails and titles should really be the norm.
