    you people are talking about "sport" and " a great show". do you forget that it is about killing an animal?! its not even natural neither fair or something. always asking myself what kind of heartless people are doing things like that. there are other ways to you can get a "fox hunt feeling" by not even harm any creature. dont understand whats wrong with all of you. jet people even think it would be okay to wear fur, and so millions of animals have to suffer because of the ignorance of some stupid people. wish that all of you are born again as a fox and meet some of your one kind...

      KnuntCuckle The 1st. Molly's right. People like myself don't like the kill, but enjoy being part of the hunt. Being part of the local community, raising money for charities, local businesses, dressing up in lovely clothes (which shows: respect for the landowners whom allow us to hunt, respect for the sport and once apron a time, respect for the quarry) and having fun on our horses. Yes you're right as well, some people hunt... to hunt. But I'm not one of them, and I know many people whom feel the same as I. I don't care if the ban stays. I care about losing the privilege of accessing areas, where one might never be able to go, if the hunt ends. Or being part of an old time tradition, which may be confined to the history books.
      But there's so much more to a hunt, than the season. The season, is just the main attraction - but throughout the yeah there is: fun rides, hound walks, BBQ, dances, film nights, breakfasts. Which half the money raised, goes to charities and the other towards the kennels. The hunt is far more, than hunting; it's about helping out the community and involving the community. I'm not having a go at you, I'm just simply saying some of us aren't bloodthirsty tories.

    The sheer level of absolute venom that comes from people on this subject astounds me. If they eat meat you actively encourage the mass slaughter of animals who are brought up in torrid conditions to be mechanically slaughtered, often in barabric ways, and they're fine with that. Those animals are dying for their pleasure of eating bacon sandwiches. A necessary death. Millions upon millinons of them every year, the tonnes of flesh and buckets of blood pouring for their un-necessary meat-eating habbits. Watch the 'Meet your Meat' video and watch what you are supporting. But a random, probably old and slow, fox being caught in a chase somehwere in a field in England is suddenly an ABSOLUTE OUTRAGE, followed by disgusting psychopaths commiting the vilest of acts. I'm a meat-eater myself, but I would never stoop to that level of ethical inconsistency and self-righteousness.

    Entertaining. The hunt bugle sounds like the horn used in Bakshi's Lord of the Rings. I was expecting the orcs to turn up. And hey, is that John Tam singing? Very nice. Looks like a social occasion, really.
    Here in Canada, you don't hear about fox hunting much. I think arctic foxes are culled and harvested for the fur trade, but no one gets the neighbourhood on horseback to chase a red fox or a cross fox. I see them occasionally here near my house, But there are no cause for concern at all. Coyotes and cougars are danger to livestock and, in the case of cougars, people. We have a dog that has been bred for dealing with the latter and is aptly named the Cougar hound. The dogs chase the cougar until it climbs a tree. Then the hunters shoot it out of the tree. But, of course, they do this only with problem cougars--ones that have killed livestock or have stalked people working outdoors, etc. Sadly, habitat encroachment has seen a number of cougars getting too close and it is cheaper for the ministry of environment to buy a couple bullets than pay for a helicopter ride to re-locate the cat. Cougars, like the other animals, are beautiful, and not many Canadians want to see them killed. But when it comes to a wild cat and a human child, the wild cat must go.
    I'm not sure about the hunting culture in England, but for the most part in Canada is populated by people who love the forests and the animals. They don't go round shooting up the woods just for the heck of it. (I'm not insinuating the English do this, by the way.) And people are very conscientious about eating what they harvest. Some people even eat Black bear. (It tastes like a very strong ham or wild boar, by the way.)
    Well, enjoy!

      Canadian's do not hunt for pleasure but these joke's do.If they would se a cougar they would p..in their pant's!! They are no hero's!! Hunting foxes is ILLEGAL in the UK. They are just a bunch of sicko's who even hunt and kill the fox babie's by through g them into the pack of hound's. They get ripped in pieces. That is not human as you do in Canada and I don't hate normal hunter's. I am from the country, I know it is sometimes nessesary to kill animals. But not for fun, not when they comite a crime and not for their joy. Watch video's from "huntsab's" and look what these so called hunter's are really doing. This is propaganda lie after lie.

    For all those threatening to killing us (why don't you try, that's your instincts to hunt!!!) lol , calling us disgusting names under the sun and think we're all upper class fat snobs. You must be single minded. Hunting is natural regardless of species, like all members of the cat family hunt in packs or solo, dolphins chimpanzees (our close relation if you have forgotten) etc...also the thrill of jumping huge hedges. Kick on for the up coming season

    • @Harvester236
      @Harvester236 9 лет назад +2

      Becky Rollins Hunting is only natural when it a necessity to survive. What can possibly bring joy in tearing up innocent foxes? It's not for food, it's just barbaric.

    • @beckyrollins3278
      @beckyrollins3278 9 лет назад +3

      Cute and fluffy the fox may be but innocent they are not. If you have chickens they would kill the whole lot not just the ones they need to survive, even pet cats have been attacked and killed by them. What about the children that were lucky to survive from one? They are quick and using guns isn't always affective and humane. They may get shot and then run under ground and slowly bleed to death. The hounds tend to get the weak and sick. The strong do get away. It's your choice on what you think

    • @Harvester236
      @Harvester236 9 лет назад +3

      Becky Rollins There's a difference between land owners and farmers humanely getting rid of foxes who are a genuine problem to their animals, and mindlessly gathering up a group of hounds to tear apart a fox in the wilderness whilst galloping on a horse from behind doing absolutely nothing. You only hunt for image and because you feel no empathy for anyone but yourselves. Stop trying to excuse this murderous 'sport' as something 'natural'. You've also failed to mention how the dogs get shot after they're too old to do all your cowardly killing...

    • @Paul_W_Tudor
      @Paul_W_Tudor 9 лет назад +4

      +Becky Rollins It is indeed normal behaviour for animals to hunt. However, Are you therefore agreeing that you are no more highly evolved than an animal? Another primary difference is that animals hunt out of necessity, not for the sick and perverse pleasure of inflicting torture on an innocent creature. You can wrap your sick hobby up in any pseudo-intellectual piece of sophistry you like, the fact remains that fox hunters, by their very nature, are evil and inadequate people.

"The rules of the competition were simple: register your team with the competition, be safe, and shoot.Rabbits were worth two points, foxes 10 points, cats 15 points and feral pigs 20 points. Points were directly correlated with the level of damage they cause to Boyup Brook's native bushland and animals ". www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/the-slow-death-of-1080-bait-how-wa-is-taking-pest-control-into-their-own-hands-20180213-h0w1fk.html

    long live hunt, i am 18 and love the hunts, i don't come from a hunting or shooting family; but i have got involved with it since i was 15 with friends, and under my own drive and determination to become a gamekeeper one day. We have the beagles come on the estate i help out on. I love the tradition of the hunts and its history, it was a way of keeping the foxes at a manageable level along with reinforcing natural selection which only the hounds can do and not me with a shotgun or rifle. We probably take out about 80 foxes a year by shooting them to reduce the loss of livestock, and increase biodiversity, which has been proven in the increase number of ground nesting birds and Brown hares on the estate. But i would prefer to use the hounds once the act is changed as it more selective. very few if any anti work in the countryside or make your living from it, meaning you don't understand the hunts at all and the role the play in the country side not just as a pest control service for farmers and so fourth. But they support local businesses and many people come to them to socialise with friends and be in the midst of good company; they contribute massively to local economy's and often unite rural communities.

      the fox hunt is natural we don't make the dogs do it its natural for them to do so, they go out and hunt and they either succeed or fail to catch their prey, just like wolves may fail to catch a deer. we have to use guns more now as we cant hunt as freely with the hounds. I have been on hunts with the surrey union and crawley and Horsham, I was on one on Saturday on the Balcombe estate. you just stand there trying to disrupt it.

    Fox hunters are nasty people, you say you love animals because you ride horses and own dogs. And fox hunting is so amazing because it's tradition... Well guess what? You abuse horses, you yank bits, use tiedowns and spurs. Oh you probably have shoes on your horse, wich is terrible for hoof health and hurts the horse (shoes are something from the middle ages, they have only negative effects on the health of the horse). Bits cause pain and you can ride your horses without a bit, tiedowns just show you can't control your horse because you have not put enough time in training. Spurs are just mean and useless, another tool that show's you can't control your horse and have to use pain and force. Why do you get fun and satisfaction out of killing an animal? It's not killing the fox, it's the event around it. Comming together for a ride and walk trough the beautiful british country, that's the fun part. Not the murder of a fox, it's illegal for a good reasons so stop doing it! Stop abusing the people trying to stop you guys from killing wildlife, that is part of British nature and wich should be preserved not killed... You abuse animals and humans, for your own ego and "fun"..... because fox hunting is tradition? Fox hunting, horse shoes, bits, spurs... all stuff used and done for a long time, still it doesn't make it good. Over time we learn new things and how we life changes, it is called development. You guys should develop into 2017/ 2018. (sorry for the long rant, but damn you stupid fox hunters make me angry)

      +Michaels Fishing and Shooting Show normal hunting u just shoot a deer or whatever in the head and it's done. Fox hunting the dogs rip it apart while it's alive, very different.

    For those unfamiliar with fox hunting in the UK. This is an illegal sport predominantly enjoyed by gay men (60-80% according to research) Obviously women do get involved too as seen from this video. Fox hunting was officially banned in 2004 although certain modified forms of hunting foxes with hounds does still exist. This type of hunting divides opinion in the UK with a significantly smaller percentage in favour of it.

    There are 2 types of hunting killing for food and killing for objects as fur,tusks,bragging rights.This is for the fun of things.I disagree with killing the fox with dogs but agree with a rifle.The only reason you should kill a fox is for sustaining for livelihood,example;protecting your sheep herd But this is killing for the fun of it.MY OPINION,DON'T GET BUTT HURT
