    Got a pair of these, they're so nice. So painful to watch but I appreciate the tear down, gives me insight on how the build is specially how to remove the ear cup foams for possible replacement in the future. Not looking good though for the padding on the band. Would be a challenge to replace that as the cable is embedded in the foam.

    Bro I'm doing my research on Q30 and stumble on your tear down and as I watch it, I can't help but think if this headphone were alive and they had a cult, this very headphone sacrifice would bring them the biggest honor of all. It just show the detail like the rubber at the cup and the glue on the soldering although it's not waterproof with the price of 30Big Mac here in Malaysia is pretty amazing for its value. Thanks to your video, I'm very assured when i place an order for this somewhere in the future. I really thought the band was going to snap though with all that bend

    And touch0 is a capacitive sensor , that is why you can activate noise cancel.
    it is a good design :)

  • @brirocks
    @brirocks Месяц назад +1

    Regarding the "build quality", one needs to be very careful in handling these headphones. As shown, there are a lot of screws holding the headphones together. In addition, the headphones are fairly heavy. If the headphones are dropped even from a low height, the impact plus the weight could cause the screw sockets to break and the headphone components to split apart. I know this because I broke THREE of them. When not in use, I highly recommend the usage of a headphone case.

    May I ask if you noticed anything different in terms of wiring etc. between the two cups, as my Q30’s seem to have slightly stronger bass and drumkick in the right cup vs. my wired Apple earpods or Jaybird X4 which both sound well balanced.

    Hey, should you remove the foam sheet? I really don't see a point to it, and for some reason i have two in one side.
    Also, I ordered replacement ear-pads cause these are basically empty, was wondering if I should cut the new ear-pads in the right places where there's a plastic connector so it wouldn't be in the way.
    And lastly what kind of glue should I use? is super glue a good option?

    • @ToolsElectroDIY

      That foam sheet is there for a reason. Remove it and you will likely have very noticeable harshness (overly bright sound) introduced.
