Got a pair of these, they're so nice. So painful to watch but I appreciate the tear down, gives me insight on how the build is specially how to remove the ear cup foams for possible replacement in the future. Not looking good though for the padding on the band. Would be a challenge to replace that as the cable is embedded in the foam.

hi. I have Q30 too. But Mine dont turn off automatically when I turned off my Bluetooth from mobile device. It should be turn off automatically when u don't use, but it does not. Have you same issue?
@@orucosmanli5708 yep, does not turn off automatically. Tried it a few times. Left it turned on without anything connected to it for 10 minutes or so, does not turn off. Not sure why it's programed that way. I could be wrong though, but I swear I've left it long enough for it to turn itself off if it has that feature.
Bro I'm doing my research on Q30 and stumble on your tear down and as I watch it, I can't help but think if this headphone were alive and they had a cult, this very headphone sacrifice would bring them the biggest honor of all. It just show the detail like the rubber at the cup and the glue on the soldering although it's not waterproof with the price of 30Big Mac here in Malaysia is pretty amazing for its value. Thanks to your video, I'm very assured when i place an order for this somewhere in the future. I really thought the band was going to snap though with all that bend

@@ToolsElectroDIY You do need the NC button to switch between Normal and ANC modes, and the 2 seconds touch is just a nice toggle button for transparency mode to toggle between transparency and NC or Normal

Nice to see the slightly offset and angled drivers with the foam filters. Something I didn't expect to see at this price range. I don't have any anker or soundcore products but I respect them and the brand.
I have the Q30, the Life P3's, and the Motion+. All have excellent sound and build quality...all use the SAME app...and this app is best-in-class. The fact that I can custom EQ every one of these devices using a common app is fantastic. Over the past year I have become an Anker Soundcore fan...for their respective price points...incredible products.
I have the q45 and One week ago the left side stop working even when the right one and controls are good. Now im watching this to see what i have to test to fix them. I'm not letting these go without a fight
Hey! Finally a good use of the 40ish LEGO pry bars everyone has laying around. Great series too, sealed my choice of headphones, leaving money spare for another few pairs in case they get lost or stolen.
Im an electronic engineer , it just says "touch0" (touch zero) it is an automatic labeling when we are working on many electronic components like mic0,mic1,mic2,res0,res1,cap1... etc..... And touch0 is a capacitive sensor , that is why you can activate noise cancel. it is a good design :)
Regarding the "build quality", one needs to be very careful in handling these headphones. As shown, there are a lot of screws holding the headphones together. In addition, the headphones are fairly heavy. If the headphones are dropped even from a low height, the impact plus the weight could cause the screw sockets to break and the headphone components to split apart. I know this because I broke THREE of them. When not in use, I highly recommend the usage of a headphone case.
that hole on that piece of foam sheet is for the high the sound from high frequency tune pipe to go thru! it would also be very easy to replace those battery except for the soldering instead of plug which make it a bit of challange as far as I can tell thx

I own two of this model. The problem is, that the artificial leather on the earpads is always ripping open after about 6 months of daily use. Now i finally know how to exchange it. Only the leather, not the foam.
Thanks very much cause I have a little screw or peace of plastic jiggling inside after only 3 month of utilisation ( I use it 6 days a week, perhaps to intense) and the support doesn't contact me back for a solution. Thanks to you I think I'll carefully open it and make justice by myself 😜.

Are the earpads replaceable, and are there any replaceable earpads from the company or third-party ones? I compared the passive isolation of the headphones with my Mpow H12s, and I noticed that the H12s had more passive isolation than the Q30s. I'm wondering if it is because of the earpads or how they're built. Thank you!
I don't know if there are 3rd party ones. if there are, then yes. It is very easy to take off the earpads. I don't have Mpow H12s so I can't compare the two.
soundcore headphones have a particular design flaw nobody is talking about. The headband leather padding is glued to the frame, once the leather starts cracking the asthetics of the headphone is runined and can't be fixed. My Q30 suffered it and recently i noticed my Q45 is on the way of the same fate;
Have 2 broken space 45s tried to take them apart to replace parts and basically fix it, but they started crumbling. At least the broken parts. I'm too scared to take apart the good parts to replace.

You mention in your video those earpads are replaceable. if so what earpads from other brands (and if so what type, brand,...)? Might be interesting since they seem durable headphones
I have no idea how it sustained all the bending at the end, mine literally disintegrated in 3 months, it starting chipping out plastic on the first day started where the soft material meets the plastic in the headband

I think the TouchHD is just what's used to activate transparency mode and maybe the NFC chip as well. I wish the hinges were made better, it's a pet peeve I have with many over-ear headphones. They creak and clunk unless I press the headband down against my head (which leads to a uncomfortable fit).

Before, it was rectangular, bigger and with sockets; now it is oval, smaller (which can "squeeze" the headphones) and the headphones are "loose" inside the case, with the right side hitting the left side and vice versa.
Hi man, you were one of the reasons I bought this headphone so thanks a ton :) They arrived yesterday and were amazing, but after using them with anc on for more than 5 hours right out of the box, they started making a crackling and hissing sound that only goes away when I turn anc off. So now I can't use them with anc, do you have any idea what's causing this or what should I do? Really appreciate your videos !
@@axzel4038 one of the best investments I've ever made. Battery life is still stellar, sound quality is amazing. Noise cancelling does its job. Overall still chugging, all I can notice is a bit of wear on the ear doing thingies (their actual word is evading me)

Hey man nice video! I have a Q30 too and the left side is not working the bass, so i was wondering if i could fix it by myself. i'm using it for a month and already broke. Maybe he fell to the ground and took off the driver, If you were me, would you try to fix it? even though I have no experience.
May I ask if you noticed anything different in terms of wiring etc. between the two cups, as my Q30’s seem to have slightly stronger bass and drumkick in the right cup vs. my wired Apple earpods or Jaybird X4 which both sound well balanced.

Hey, should you remove the foam sheet? I really don't see a point to it, and for some reason i have two in one side. Also, I ordered replacement ear-pads cause these are basically empty, was wondering if I should cut the new ear-pads in the right places where there's a plastic connector so it wouldn't be in the way. And lastly what kind of glue should I use? is super glue a good option?

I guess the "touch0" thing is the sensor for en/dis/abling the transparency mode by holding your hand besides the cup

The "Planned feateue" has label. When you analize those 14 wires, at 6.27" mark, you can easily read that ribbon label. NFC, GND, TOUCH.

Sounds like you have a defective unit. Please contact the Soundcore support email, I'm sure they will help!
@Mohamed Ehab try updating the software, through the Anker app. This might solve your problem and improve the overall usability

Hey man nice video! I have a Q30 too and the left side is not working the bass, so i was wondering if i could fix it by myself. i'm using it for a month and already broke. Maybe he fell to the ground and took off the driver,

May I ask if you noticed anything different in terms of wiring etc. between the two cups, as my Q30’s seem to have slightly stronger bass and drumkick in the right cup vs. my wired Apple earpods or Jaybird X4 which both sound well balanced.

No, don't do it. It is designed to be like that to avoid tiny reverbs.
How's the ear pads are those replaceable, can you just takenit off and replace it with other pads?
Maybe only anker ones. I'm not sure if there are 3rd party pads available yet.

@@ToolsElectroDIY i dont think they can help. I wont get refund because its been half a year and i tried all reset types and stuff. Its probably just a broken speaker. I took it apart but all wires and stuff were fine

Hey, should you remove the foam sheet? I really don't see a point to it, and for some reason i have two in one side.
Also, I ordered replacement ear-pads cause these are basically empty, was wondering if I should cut the new ear-pads in the right places where there's a plastic connector so it wouldn't be in the way.
And lastly what kind of glue should I use? is super glue a good option?
You no should not remove the foam inside. I'm not sure about the earpads replacement you bought.
That foam sheet is there for a reason. Remove it and you will likely have very noticeable harshness (overly bright sound) introduced.

Yea, that is missing. Drivers hausing and the drivers itself.
So you are interested in the drivers? It's sealed and difficult to cut it open. Perhaps I will do a follow up video later.
