Here's Justin Chen (11-year-old) performing Isaac Albeniz' "Asturias (Leyenda)" from Suite Espanola Op. 47 on a 2017 Ennio Giovanetti classical guitar made with spruce top and CSA rosewood back and sides. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.

This is a better rendition than I've heard from players twice his age. It will be interesting to compare what he does with it 15 or 20 years from now.
Yeah that's because they're full of ego at that age (22). This player has quite a lot of subtlety but it's not born of life experience, pain, pleasure, joy, death etc - you know the things that make life, life.
I must admit you're right though. It is masterful and better than petulant young male adults who think they know it all.
Have you seen Cheryl Grice on Julian Bream's Masterclass (1978) playing Sevilla? She's about 20-25 I guess. If you watch the entire episode she makes the two men look like amateur guitarists. Half the episode is devoted to her.

Very impressive, especially when you consider he's playing a full-sized 650mm scale guitar. It makes adults whining about the "unplayability" of 660mm seem rather silly, no?
To level the difficulty with young Mr. Chen, here, we'd need to be playing scale lengths in the neighborhood of 750mm!

Even children can have longer fingers..I am nearly 60 but he might be having a larger span. Just a comment on kids playing 650 scale..Other than that, he is an absolute marvel! The only explanation for displaying such an astonishing gift at this early age is - he is continuing what he acquired in his past life. Simple as that..

He really doesn't understand what he played, mistakes in rhythm and dynamic, mistakes in notes, not any understanding of this such performance on your channel. And how persons above could write that this is stunning??? This is surprise for me and the main question to channel owner : how you allowed appearance of this bad performance here??? I understood that this is PR (11 years only) but really bad idea to make clown performance from Asturia and no matter how many years guitar player has. Shame on you to public such "stunning performances" further!!!
