Often, when photographing an event, particularly when using on-camera flash, you'll wash out the person's skin tone. This is particularly common when they have a lighter skin tone to start with or if they're wearing white.

I love this one. I've adjusted pale skin tones in the past with Vibrance, or Color Temp sliders. This works much better (especially on the red-headed subject). Thanks, Anthony.

Skin is so hard, it's hard to even know what the person's skin was. (I need to use the color calibration card, I know.) I've been trying to adjust skin tones by using the dropper and then adjusting. But I guess that works if you already have color, not if it's washed out.

Anthony, love your tutorials, they've helped to tremendously over the yrs. I have a lightroom question but don't know where I can ask you for advice. I don't see anywhere here or your website. Thanks.

Anthony great video! Thank you for sharing. One of the challenges in faces is often getting lip color to balance out. Whether its a lipstick or just sometimes men or women can naturally have extreme lip color or a flash or lense causes overbearing the face. Any pointers?

Is there a short cut to selecting the middle of the tone curve? I’m sure I forgot. 🤷🏻‍♂️

One good, easy way to do what you're asking is to edit one image with just the mask creation and slider settings Anthony uses here and then Create a User Preset with those adjustments. Then you can apply that preset with one click on one or more selected images and touch up the sliders from there. Anthony did a RUclips video on this. Look for Anthony Morganti Create a MASKING preset in Lightroom.
