The beginning to our full playthough of The Legacy: Realm of Terror, an adventure role-playing game produced by Magnetic Scrolls and published by MicroProse in 1993 for the PC.
The last heir to the Winthrop estate has been found and it is us. We travel to our New England home and immediately things are out of sorts. The doors seal behind us and mocking laughter can be heard about the building. We discover notes from a man named Marcus Roberts detailing strange going ons about the estate. We are not alone in this mansion.
Oh man, this was one of the best horror games I ever played as a kid. Thanks for posting this! I haven't seen this game in ages.
I've tried to run through this game multiple times. It's difficult but extremely fun. One day I'll do it. Thank you for uploading these videos.
You got it man. Go for it
actually i think this deserves a remake
attacked by the floor hahaha
Wanna hear something totally Tubular dude? The game is now in gog.com
Just bought the game because of your series, tried boomer for awhile and beat some zombies bare handed. Fun game!
That's what I like to hear. Please keep enjoying the game.
@@GreenGimmick You do good work I watched Clocktower as well. Keep it up!
That intro theme is so twin peaks...
This game was super cool, still have the original box and floppys, bit tricky to run on dual xeon cpu machine though :)
I had to screw around in DOSBox for a while before it was working just right. But it was a lot of fun to play
I have an old laptop single core with 1 gig ram will try regular dos 6.22 or pc-dos 7 with qmem :) might work but the monitor is 17" so might be bit pixelated, then again my workstation has a 27" 5k monitor so a dos box would likely run in a tiny window, lowest resolution the monitor can do is 640*480.
myamoto? makes me think of shigeru miyamoto from nintendo, some one must have been a big zelda fan ^_^ , love this gameplay btw :)
what a cringy comment....
I started playing this tonight after reading about it on an article. Pretty interesting first person role playing game. I would really like to see a remaster of this with modern controls, better GUI, stuff like that.
The controls are kind of weird, but I was thankful to see they had WASD movement and mouse support. I think it would have been nice if they had taken some of the mechanics from NetHack, where enemies don't move until you do, because otherwise you got enemies cruising the halls, sometimes really fast. When you're trying to fiddle with your inventory or something it's a pain in the ass trying to do that while you're getting your ass chomped.
Which game came first? Because DOOM was released the same year and their interface and controls are a million times better.
I also suggest people relying on melee attacks , if you don't have a reliable melee weapon, just use your fists, they do more damage than using something like a flashlight or a suitcase to defeat enemies. Even zombies will take forever.
Honesty, I wouldn't be surprised if this helped inspire Resident Evil.
