  • Djokovic vs Federer: The Movie | Emotional Tribute to their legendary Rivalry
This is the last movie I am going to make about the Big Three rivalries. At least one about their past matches.
After "Fedal", "Big Three", "Nadal v Djokovic" now comes the fourth part: "Djokovic v Federer"
This time I did not show the whole rivalry, like I did with Rafa vs Novak. I focused on the most important matches which had the most impact on the rivalry between Novak Djokovic und Roger Federer.
Here you can find the whole head to head: www.atptour.com/en/players/at...

I don’t think I have ever seen any player so gracious in defeat as Djoker was, especially when he hadn’t won any major titles. In fact he still is more gracious in defeat than any other next gen player. Even Rafa and roger weren’t as gracious in defeat as he was.

Once upon a time I was an absolute fan of Roger. His losses gutted me. But then Djokovic came. It wasn't his GS wins which made me his fan. It was his desire to be absolute best. His willingness to do everything he can to win.
And the fact that he was always 'ignored one' among big three, which he wasn't willing to accept.
    What an era though!!

Great video about two of the best tennis players ever. What caught my eye is that when he started losing to Djokovic, the experts started talking about Federer being old at 30-31. However, for me, Federer is someone who played the most beautiful tennis .On the other hand, Djokovic is the undisputed GOAT. He always played against the crowd, now also against politics, and yet he broke all Federer's records, and made some new ones. My bow to Rafa's fans, but he is just the king of clay.

Federer and Nadal are incredible players. I cannot understand people who do not respect such two champions. You can dislike them, but you have to respect them. As for Djokovic, that is a separate story. Djokovic had to fight the media, the audience, literally his entire career against everyone. What he achieved in such a sick and hostile atmosphere is what sets him apart from Nadal and Federer, and that is why he is the undisputed GOAT. In addition, due to corona and politics, he was left without 3, 4 GS. That's why Novak's result gains even more weight. Yes, well spotted. In late 2010, Novak found out he was allergic to certain foods, e.g. gluten, dairy and refined sugar, so he cut those out of his diet - that's why he played so much better in 2011 and onwards.

From Novak double faulting to drop the set in 07, to Roger double faulting to lose serve in New York years later. Everything about this was spot on. This literally brought tears to my eyes, watching and looking back to my childhood throughout the years. I don’t know what it was but something happened to Novak Djokovic after 2010 and you can see here in this brilliant movie how he just had a different aura and look in his eye since the start of 2011. Gluten free or not this looks way beyond a simple diet change. To just develop that belief all of a sudden with no apparent results considering it was just the start of the season was truly un-real. It was as if he had already won the three slams of 2011 before actually winning them. This is why i think 2011 was Djokovic’s greatest year ever cause he had to push and break the dominance of FEDAL who were pretty much at their peaks.

    • @johnwilliamson9657
      @johnwilliamson9657 2 года назад

In addition to gluten, Novak also cut out dairy and refined sugar as he was allergic to them. He himself has said this is why his performance improved so much from the beginning of 2011. It seems a good explanation to me.

Noone even looked at Novak's tally back in 2017/18 as noone could imagine that the great one would surpass not only Roger but also Nadal. Novak fans had to suck it up for years when Federer and then Nadals fans threw insults to us for their idols slam achievement mocking Novak with their words or pathetic pics and finally Novak has shut that door and now those backstabbers try to find other ways to make their hero look good. But hey..go for it as it will never change what Novak has achieved time and time again, and is so evenly balanced throughout his career. He is a machine and well oiled at that. U can tell Roger doesn't like Djokovic. Dt was even before later started winning GS regularly.
I bet his dislike towards Novak would have been astronomical cz Novak denied him a lot of GS, specially on Wim.

Federer is not a very sincere kind of fellow, and when Djokovic started to have his number, he didn’t like it one bit!
Some of his post match comments and behaviour after losses to Novak, show that he had a chip on his shoulder and it was growing exponentially!!

    • @darthkothicame7822

@@steveturner609 Reason Federer intentionally appreciates Nadal is bcz he wants Djokovic to feel he's not on par with Federer-Nadal & also Nadal didn't become threat to Roger' dominance apart from clay court.
Both Federer & Nadal with their fans appreciated one another as each other didn't threaten in their arena, while Djokovic from 2010 appeared a huge threat to Federer & his fans, as they know Djokovic could defeat Federer on grass too &it happened.
Till 2010 Federer was 16 GS, while Novak put Federer in starvation mode & Fed could win 3 in 2017 when Djokovic wasn't there

Did someone notice how Federer shakes hands on the net when he loses the match and how when he wins? Djokovic does the same thing on both occasions. That is the main difference and people say that Djokovic is the arrogant one. Federer was never big when he lost. He was a great player, one of the best, most beautiful players to watch, but when we talk about respect, he speaks with respect about Djokovic in the last few years.

Rivalry in 2 eras: 2006-2010 and 2011-2020, Fed had better win rate in the first part then Novak had in the second part and those match points and deciding set tiebreak wins(3-4) would have made this a lot more interesting

Considering Novak was just 20yrs old beating the dominante n1 in His prime at a Semis of gs Federer as the "bigger man" would be a "class act" like they fans love to ramble about, you would imagine Nadal being nasty To Alcaraz or Sinner of they beat him in a gs for example? I dont see Novak doing that either, look how he greeted Medvedev after being clearly defeated in the final stopping him for one of the biggest archievements of tennis open history, and still he creditededvedev and shares a moment with him knowing how important that moment was for him
