Excellent Video Eric :) old Volkswagen Bug or Bettle and car so amazing my one cousin has a 1964 Sunbeam is came from overseas and so cool 2 people driving it in front and 5 seater!
@@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs yes Eric it rare one that Sunbeam car my cousin Lorne wife Elizabeth got when 16 years old for birthday present from her parents when live in England years ago! When they moved to Canada in 1970 brought over the car ! Car is Forest Green with Black Interior too!
Super Beetle has a McPherson strut front suspension instead of the “beam” design that a regular Beetle has, allowing the spare tire to lay flat in the “frunk” and providing more space for groceries, luggage, ect. ‘71 & ‘72 Supers had a flat windshield, beginning in ‘73 they had a curved one increasing passenger compartment space.
The engine size is the same, but the car is MUCH improved. Better suspension, better front window, better dash, better crash protection, bigger trunk. The list goes on, but the 73/74 Super Beetles are the best to own for sure.
@@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs I have a memory of driving my Beetle to a rock concert in New York City in 1978 during a snow storm. The car was great in the snow, but snow was blowing into the car through the defroster. The sound and feel of the car when I drove it was something I'll never forget. It was my first car, I bought it in college. I paid $400 for it.
Wow that's awesome 👍😎
Thanks 👍. This was quite a project but it was worth it!
It runs well!
And all I had to do to make it do that was to replace everything!
Looks and sounds great!
Thanks man! and THANKS for the window! It's perfect for the door.
@@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs Glad it worked out for ya!
It's alive!
Yup! Cool little cars.

Sweet.
Thanks!
It really makes you miss the simplicity of older iron!
It sure does. Crazy to think of all the automotive changes that have happened in the past 20 years.
More.
You got it!
Nice and simple. Why is this a super version? Engine?

I remember when the Super Beetle arrived. My ‘68 bug had a 1500 cc engine.
