      Thank you! We love salsa and it is easy to make and put in the pantry. If processed and stored properly it will last up to 12 months or longer on the shelf. But around here it wont make it that far...lol. Thanks for watching and have a great day!

    Very nice! I think everyone should be doing this kind of thing during these intentional times of self destruction. Love the procedure! The variations you can do in making it too! Loved this one!

      I agree. This is a very good way to save a few dollars while we wait and see what will be destroyed next. There are so many recipes for canning (water bath and pressure canning). I don't know if you've done any canning of this type, but these will last on the shelf for several months to a few years in the pantry as long as they are processed and stored properly. Have a great day!

    Charley, good looking salsa. How long will it keep on your shelf?

    • @PitSmoke
      @PitSmoke  2 года назад +2

      If you process and store them properly they will last 12 to 18 months. Even longer if the jars are still in good condition and the seal is still intact. But, it usually never makes it to 12 months around here...lol Thanks for watching, and have a great 4th.

    New to this...By citric acid, do you mean lemon juice?

    • @PitSmoke
      @PitSmoke  Год назад +1

      You can use lemon juice or citric acid for canning. If I don't have any lemon juice on hand I will use the citric acid. Either one will work.
