I made this ai ang sarap. I have conventional oven i Preheated my oven 350⁰ then Bake for 8mins Switch to LOW BROIL for 6mins then switch to HIGH Broil for 2mins (15-16mins over all). I tried steaming them too on HIGH for 15mins. Bake or steam ang finish product ay may magandang crack pa din sa middle..this recipe is a keeper. Simple ingredients yet ang texture nya is soft and fluffy. Salamat po recipe. Next time I will triple the recipe and maybe add macapuno or grated young coconut sa batter mixture ..

Hi mam thank you sa recipe, nagluto ko Karon and it's very good. I put 1.5 tsp dry yeast, 1 can coconut milk. Bake 355° for 30 mins and broil 400° for 10.

Gamit sa akong mama sauna pinutol na lata sa condensed milk para sa puto ug kanang plastic sa margarine.. Sauna magbuslot lang ug lata sa biscuits gamit lansang.. Mao na gamiton steamer.. Ibutang sa dako na kaldero.. Ipatong sa bato or lata pod na gagmay.. Makaluto nag puto, siopao, suman... Sa bingka mao pod lata sa biacuits na dako.. Improvise.. Busog nata.. Malipayon pod kay magtinabangay😊

Thanks for responding, I have a conventional oven and yes you’re right it was not as soft as I want it to be. So next time I’m going to cover it with foil during the last 15 minutes of cooking to prevent it from drying up too quickly. We’ll see what happens. I was really looking for a bibingka recipe just like we have in my hometown in Argao, Cebu. Yours is by far the nearest recipe amongst the ones I already searched; no eggs, and not using a rice flour, jut simply bibingka. But I'm not sure what they used to make them rise though. Oh, I think they used fresh coconut wine. I'll try your recipe. Thanks.

Thanks for responding, I have a conventional oven and yes you’re right it was not as soft as I want it to be. So next time I’m going to cover it with foil during the last 15 minutes of cooking to prevent it from drying up too quickly. We’ll see what happens. Btw naibog gyud ko sa imong mga cakes and pastries. Did you attend a baking school in there in Italy?

..madam,ano po ba ang pinagkaiba ng active yeast at fresh yeast...ngayon ko lng kasi nalaman na may fresh yeast pala...at kung magkaiba po sila,pwede bang gamitin ang active yeast?..at tanong din po kung pwede ang baking powder na gamitin dito sa recipe nyo.

I was really looking for a bibingka recipe just like we have in my hometown in Argao, Cebu. Yours is by far the nearest recipe amongst the ones I already searched; no eggs, and not using a rice flour, jut simply bibingka. But I'm not sure what they used to make them rise though. Oh, I think they used fresh coconut wine. I'll try your recipe. Thanks.

Coconut sap is used for Traditional Bibingka. No yeast or baking powder is added.
