This is easily the best dragracing movie from the -70 or -80's I have seen! Good story and alot of racing. Hard combo apparently if you look at alot of these kind of movies.
Acting..a bit stilted...camera work not bad, good storyline and pacing...but all that cool dragstrip footage from the golden age of drag racing ....PRICELESS. Some of my fondest memories are from times and places and drag strips just like these.
Am I going nuts or did someone cut out all the parts where the camera is on the car, and I didn't see any of the push start shots. Those made this film.
I really didn't understand the ending, Jeff was clueless about what happened to Ron, why he got upset like that without even knowing what was happening? o.O

They hardly ever raced.
Definitely some piss poor acting right there.
The authenticity of the racing action more than makes up for it.
