Well I had to go look for you. I was wondering why it been so long since I’ve seen your video. I wasn’t getting notifications. Somehow the bell notification had been deleted or turned off in love your work and I think you’re one of the best finishers on RUclips. You sure know your stains and how they work. This was a beautiful table I think it’s worth $3k well done 🇺🇸
Thank you. Your comment means a lot to me. This is a passion project of mine so whenever I have time I get around to posting videos. Hopefully more coming this summer 🤞
Best video on RUclips and so helpful to me. I am going to restore my rosewood table, quick question, when I stripped the varnish, is there any way to take the color out of the wood and veneer? Thanks a ton
@@dada10000 good question. Using vinyl sealer with pre cat lacquer is like a system. Using them together makes a stronger bond and added moisture protection.
Hi, really beautiful result! I saw you sanding the wood but not bleach it afterwards. I thought rosewood has a tendency to turn black when sanded. or does that only happen when taking off too much of a top layer? what is your experience? thanx

@@feinie1279 thank you. I guess you could technically bleach the wood with a 2 part bleach kit. But I would never do that to rosewood.
Whats the use of spraying the ez vinyl sealer ?

I've never experienced or heard of that. I don't see how bleaching would help. Must be another issue.
What kind of shellac do you prefer?
It's needs to be dewaxed shellac. That's the important part.
