Ex-Barnsley here , now living in Queensland Australia . Liked your photos of my old school Mark Sreet ,in another series, i attended there 1958-62. Also the photos you showed of my old drinking haunts , Corner Pin , George Hotel ( great pub on a friday night ) , Chennells bar. I was last in Barnsley 43 years ago , i expect it as changed a little by now .

I think that the party of the picture in Jump was to commemorate the Queens Coronation and not VE Day. One of the little girls at the front of the picture - with the blonde hair - is - I believe - Christine Hough - who wouldn’t yet have been born on VE Day.
