Love this house! They did a great job. I also love the fact that Joanna is so versatile. She obviously loves the white farmhouse look, but this shows she can easily do a great job with other styles as well!

Man this is one of the worst reaction from a costumer ever!!!!! Like even the pillow they made from curtains her grandpa picked out and it was just “ oh how sweet” - like they’ll throw it out after they leave... the husband is the worst!! Joana looked so disappointed on their reaction... like man tough crowd!! Smh I wish I had this house!!!

They did an amazing job! I did sense something was wrong, he did his best to hide it but it was palpable. At the end chip said it was at least better then way we found it. Almost sounded like he was defending something.

the accent wall in the bdrm is INSANE but i wonder, there is only 1 bdrm in the WHOLE house? what about another bthrm for guests? i too am addicted to copper so i would have used a bit more of it through out the house and not in the kitchen only

So did they want to keep the original place? Would it be just as cheap to level it and start over? I'm just curious as it seemed in such disrepair.... was it financially better or more a nostalgia thing? Either way can not believe its the same place!!! Beautiful!
It was definitely a nostalgia thing but because the house sat on their family land they also got it for free.

I remember this episode. Pete the possum and other critters had run of the house. Family land and they had $150k-$180k if I remember correctly. The Gaines showed them another house but they wanted Poppa's. You will need to find the full length episode to get the full transformation.
Toni Pope you have to keep the outside walls or else it’s considered a rebuild and not a remodel for tax purposes
