The scenery was beautiful - that's why I clicked on the RUclips recommendation. :-) Lovely looking layout. An amazing amount of work has gone into it. Thank you for sharing.

Bet it was fun getting all your friends stock out to run these tests, well worth it though. Thanks for putting this together and risking killing your locos to do so, very impressive result. 👍

This is the very reason why late steam locomotives in the US had so many drive wheels and were often articulated. We needed the power, and more importantly we needed the traction.

Great experiment and fun to watch too. Nice to see the Southern 'N' class doing its bit. Fabulous layout by the way. Great work! Love watching N gauge.

Congratulations on your accomplishment.... Your wagons must all be top-notch... as well as the track being in exceptional condition.... hard to do with such a small gauge. Good job.

Very impressive and quite a speed. I wouldn't dare try for fear of damaging the motor.

Loving the video but would love to know more about your layout. It looks like you have it in a garden shed but what are the dimensions. What buildings are you using, have not come across your engine shed with that roof configuration in n gauge. I see you have two turntables, are they Peco and how have you got them operating as in your previous video it looks so smooth when its turning. I am putting my layout in the loft, no where else to go and yes it's in n gauge. I have about 30' x 7' to play around and I am going to recreate Bognor Regis Terminus complete with engine shed, turntable and large goods shed post 1938. Love the look of your layout, please keep them coming.
    Regards Chris

Chris, to answer your questions: It is in a shed, the internal dimensions are approx 15ft x 7ft. The buildings are mostly scenecraft or Lyddle End, however the engine shed is custom made from 2x K Laser designs Northlight engine sheds ( kslaserdesigns.com/kit01-04-01 ) bashed together to make a 4 road engine shed. The Turntables are peco, the storage yard one is hand operated, but the terminus one is operated using a Lochmotech TTMKF motorising kit ( www.locomotech.com/index.html ) I highly recommend this product! Sorry for the slow reply, but I hope the info helps. I hopefully will get around to a more informative video about the layout and how it was built soon. in the meantime any further questions feel free to ask.

In real life the 28xx regularly handled upto 100 wagons in service, particularly coal trains from South Wales, this is replicated at Pendon museum on their layout 'The Vale'. facebook.com/watch/?v=1391278510945697
