The noise you couldve been hearing on start up could be your bushing in the alternator going bad, i had my VVT kit replaced in the hopes of stopping the noise but turns out it was the alternator all along, the clutch pulley was done and so were the bearings. Not a hard install but 2 people help.
Nice vid awesome car sim build other then ur turbo and fmic and car color mine velocity red cobb fmic and stock turbo still but I got cs bushing shifter and plate and corksport big mouth hood scoop and rear carbon wing w and extension and garage very grill but I run stratified pop and freektune but got the weight u need for ur shift plate from cobb I'm running cs but did u do the high pressure fuel pump jw
I’ve been having issues with my Eonon head unit as well. Mine every about 7th time I start the car it won’t turn on and I gotta unplug the power cable and plug it back in
I know what you’re talking about the same thing happens to me except I’m not sure if it’s every 7th time. If you wait like 5 minutes eventually it turns on ive tried resetting it, updating it, can’t figure it out
Hey Tom! I have a gen 1, Currently has everything to get me to that 350 whp mark except for the 3.5 inch intake. (I've got a short ram air intake) Currently on 93 I'm running 21 psi tuned with PD-tuning. I'm curious to know what the boost pressure is with the 3.5" intake to get you up to that 350 whp mark? Cheers!
Ended up not having to replace it! The chain was tight at tdc and the pulleys had ‘C’ on them which is the latest update for the vvt kit. So turns out those marks are from the original VVT but was replaced by the original owner!
Can you do a review on that Eonon unit and your issues with it? I want to get one but most reviews I see online are ones with like android 6.0. Want to see if the cons are worth it.
Love the car! Unfortunately for me I blew a hole in the motor so I'm in the phase of getting one built now haha. Engine is practically done just a few odds and ends then it's time to tear her apart and get that engine in! Shooting for 500-550whp with some port injection! Stay tuned haha

Mazdaspeed 3 bro! After test driving a GTI, SI, focus ST, and WRX i ended up buying my genpu. Definitely a "drivers" car. It is so damn raw, you'll love it.

@@TomCanino sweet the reason I ask is because you have some variation on what I have and I think I am going to be about 300-350whp now, going to dyno soon after remapping and revisions from Freektune. Im in a 2012 with Cobb Tuning SF Intake & Turbo Inlet Hose as well as Torque Solutions Recirculating Hose, Autotech HPFP, Corksport 3" TMIC, Stock Turbo with Corksport tubing, Go Fast Bits BOV, Cobb Tuning GESI Downpipe and Cat Bat Exhaust. Am tuning 91 (California sucks for that) BUT I am going E85 as well so this should close the gap to your turbo hop up and hoping for similar numbers. Was hoping to see the dyno so I could see what to expect... Should be very similar to you here... From this video to 531HP, I see the exhaust manifolds, what else had you done there? You built the motor with conrods and pistons did you? Any other bolt ons?
@@shanemouton7606 I have a 2012 with a BNRS4 on meth and e30. Before I went to the bigger turbo, I was around 320hp with e30 on stock turbo, same as BNRS4 on 93. Not sure if that helps
I said throw away your ots tune, not the accessport. The accessport is the tool you use to load tunes and record logs lol. The pre loaded Cobb tunes are trash but a pro tuner will send you a file to load on to your ecu via an accessport.

What where your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times?
Get a open mouth grille..itll look good with the front mount..also what about the timing chain and vvt..did you end up not having to replace

lol_ speed3 not sure on that one, but there is some slack when the chain is not at tdc which is normal. At tdc there is no slack at all!

sharb212 oh i forgot about that! Autotech HPFP internals (first thing i did!) and i have the NGK Iridium 6510 spark plugs (one step colder) 😄
Tom Canino Where they pre gaped? Or did you have to cap them ? If so what is the gal size?
Your tuner will tell you what to tap them too, but typically .026-.028 is what I’ve tapped mine to. You’ll want a tool to gap them!

Do you have it tuned currently to 350hp ?without the aux fuel or this is actually right now?
That’s just on 93oct. With the meth I’m around 400whp and 380 torque! Been meaning to make a video about the meth kit but been so busy!
