This is such lovely news, thank you for sharing ❤! I have a soft spot for the gorilla troop at Cleveland Zoo as Kayembe was born the day before my birthday so he's my little Scorpio buddy! I live in Maine though so your videos are my #1 way to keep updated on how he is doing. I very much appreciate all the time and effort you put into these lovely videos, 🙏🙏🏿🙏🏼 Thank You!❤ -Eryn
So happy to hear about a new gorilla on our planet - at Cleveland Zoo 🦍❤🦍 Wondering if everyone gets to stay together but guess that decision is a long way off. 😊 Beautiful that this critically endangered species is getting chances to survive. Always grateful for these sweet videos, Larry. 🌍🦍❤️🔭✨🌙
🤩🤩🤩👏👏🍾🎈🥂💐 Oh my days❣️ That is spectacular news. 🎆🎇😃 Well done Kebi and Moloko❣️ Wow! I really hope everything goes well. Kebi appears to be in great shape and I have every confidence that the wonderful staff at Cleveland zoo will do everything possible to help her and the precious little one. ❤ Kayembe is full of beans today - can’t wait to see his reaction when he has to share the limelight with a newborn. 😂 Not to mention how awesome it will be to see him with his little sibling when s/he is old enough to play. 😍 Great to see the troupe enjoying their lovely outdoor space again - I’m guessing the winters are pretty harsh in Cleveland. I was really interested to see that this troupe haven’t really been together for very long - they seem to get along so well. Another testimony to sensitive management on the part of the zoo - and the beautiful nature of gorillas as a species, of course❣️ Sorry for the long post - I’m just so excited about the great news! Thanks so much, Larry - this made my day! 🙏😄
Larry this is FANTASTIC news!🥳🤩👏👍our most sincere wishes finally will come true🙏 our brave little boy Ka will have a little brother or sister to play with, to take care of and pamper with😍 congratz to mom Kebi, to you and the zoo keepers🥰 thanx for sharing this with us and for your nice footage..it is great to have a more overall view of the zoo and in particular the peacefull scene of sweet Kayembe and Freddie relaxing in the grass outside🥰can't wait till the new baby arrives!🙏🥰🤩♥️🌞🌻
@@larrysanimalsafarie you familiar with the online gorilla studbook called Dewar Wildlife Larry? If not it’s an online directory that has information such as date of birth, place of birth, sex, hand/parent raised, living/deceased, owner, sire/dam, siblings and offspring etc. on gorillas. In the case of Kebi (full name is Kebi Moyo) she did give birth to a daughter back in 1999 at Columbus Zoo who was named Kambera Dupa and she was hand raised. It’s a valuable resource in my opinion.
Wow! That is the best news! I knew that little Kay would get a sibling! They should do a new book on Kay waiting for his new sib and the baby coming! I will definitely buy that one too! Thank you so much!😊🥹
As in Australia? Welcome! We had a baby gorilla in cleveland ohio (U.S.) in Oct 2021. I began making videos as he grew up. If you’d like, check out Baby Gorilla - Kayembe. Their numbered. His birth mom didn’t show proper care so a 47 year old female in the troop picked him up and has cared for him ever since. Also have Orangutans plus assorted animals from the Cleveland Zoo. Hope you enjoy what you find. 👍😁
@@sonjavandam1306 I haven’t see him yet but I’m hoping to next year. We have babies here at the Woodland Park zoo tho. We have Zuna and Kitoko and Yola who is 5 years old. I was thinking about highlighting them on my channel but I couldn’t handle all the screaming kids and dumb comments I heard🤣 I was done after 2 days!
@@larrysanimalsafari Thank you, I watched his first year & then couldn't find him again as I don't have social media, only RUclips. I look forward to seeing your videos, you have a very good reputation. Thanks.💛
Mr Larry, we need more kayembe videos!!! Please make more per week!! Like every other day 😂. I can’t get enough! Love your interaction with the troop. Really cool that you bring enrichment items.
Babies name is Kunda. She has about 50 videos dedicated to her and 9 I think… titled Baby watch - I tried to make those entertaining (forgive my attempts at my own humor) . Plenty to watch. 😁
Could be, just an fyi the females are on birth control. The team members of the gorilla species survival plan track every gorilla in North American zoos. They decide which gorillas go to which zoos and decide who is/are the best genetic /social matches to breed. 😁

Wow! I didn’t know much about her past. Thanks for sharing- as always 👋😁
@@larrysanimalsafari She was young. I hope she has been learning from Freddie. She is actually a grandmother.
Oh boy. They have had a good mentor with Fredrika. 🤞

Well, Prince Kayembi., you're going to be a big brother huh? Now, you will have a playmate to have fun teaching he/she how you run things.😊🐒❤️
😂 I’m sure he’ll enjoy playing tricks in him/her. He seems to have that in his young personality.

Another person commented she had a baby about 20 years ago. I don’t have any more details on that.

I know they have big bellies, but Tusa looks pregnant too.
🤣
Yes, they do have that trait (big bellies). 😂
Good news! Why did the zoo wait this long to announce her pregnancy. I mean, she is due in two months.
They have to see if everything is coming along in terms of health for the mom and viability. It's all good.😊
Good answer! 👍
