I agree! Their music helps to bring me out of whatever caused me to have a bad mood to begin with. It's got power, great lyrics & most of all, their songs were just plain awesome & a real thrill to listen to!
I WISH: ... That I was born in canada in the late 70's so I could fully appreciate the awesomeness that is Canadian rock from the 90's as it graced the earth. I hate being born in '92. I missed all the cool shit.
Wow I went to a Collective Soul concert back in 96 or 97 at the Bayou in Washington DC. Never heard of Moist before then. Was blown away by their live performance! I just looked them up on a whim. Glad they still have a following.
It's a great song, so desperate, so metaphorical, dark and beautiful. Many of us know what he feels. Thanks for posting the lyrics. I had always thought it was "wheel silver", the wheel that goes round and round, trapping us in our ways, thoughts and habits, unable to break free. I always found the song somewhat disturbing, yet I could associate with it. And heck, David is so totally gorgeous in it (someone had to say it!). Many mixed emotions. Pure art.
Every day one of the old bands from my past comes back to haunt me. Yesterday the Watchmen, today Moist. 103.7 The River, that's what I grew up on, and Much Music back when it played more music. The 90s was such an awesome Canadian movement with Matthew Good Band, Our Lady Peace. Too bad the momentum didn't keep up. The River was replaced by a country station in my area (NY) and Much went to hell. I lost all of this music until now.
Man only ever met one other person in the uk who likes Moist, fantastic tunes. was listening to live's Throwing copper at the same time. Check it out, class.
I grew up with 90s grunge music like this my brother I drove around on gravel roads listening to it. He died in 2009 from a blood clot. This brings me back,
A couple years ago I was having dinner at my universities bar, and a band was playing. When the band took a break I went out for a smoke, and so did the band. The drummer mentioned playing with David Usher, so I asked about it, and then the bassist told me that he was in fact Jeff Pearce. I ended up singing Silver on stage with them. Considering Moist was the first concert I ever went to it was an awesome experience.
my very first concert!!! it was so so so fun...i was 15 , pushed my way to the front and had a blast!!! totally set the tone for future concerts - how can u not make it to the front?
@Kalimata101 I didn't know Stars are Canadian. I just discovered them recently from an internet friend. I love discovering these new sounds, which are not mainstream. Anyway thanks for posting these MOIST Videos.
Been listening to these guys for years... many many years and this album is one of those diamonds in the rough. In my opinion, one of the most underrated albums of the 90s! The singer looks like a cross between Brandon Lee and Keanu Reeves. Check out the album!
yeah, no shit. well i look at it like this. i am 32, live near toronto buffalo area and listened to all this kind of music in the 90's. i play drums in a band and this music is a big influence on the music i write to this day. i realy do not care for the new music these days. i guess i am old school. but the 90's were great times for alternative rock.
finally i found this song.. oi have been looking this since... well i can't remember maybe from the day napster rules internet for sharing mp3. i can't find this song because i don't know who sing it and the tittle, all i know only the verse " weee areee sillverrr. and i put we silver in youtube search box.... and BAAMMM the fisrt thing come up this vid. thanks for upload this vid
I think someone already posted this, but it bears reapeting: Come touch and feel and lick and smell The hurt that only you could sell Powerful, evocative lyrics.
Always wondered if the bald woman in the video is Robin Tunney from Empire Records, The Craft, & Encino Man. There's a striking resemblance if not. Can anybody confirm?
ok so i can answer all your questions in one go..the 90's madness overacted is actually how intense he(Mark Makowy) gets live..ive seen them over a dozen times since 94ish yes im old. and as far as the rest of the freaking out moments..

Been listening to these guys for years... many many years and this album is one of those diamonds in the rough. In my opinion, one of the most underrated albums of the 90s! The singer looks like a cross between Brandon Lee and Keanu Reeves. Check out the album!

Always wondered if the bald woman in the video is Robin Tunney from Empire Records, The Craft, & Encino Man. There's a striking resemblance if not. Can anybody confirm?
She's Yvette Narlock from the band Mollies Revenge.
I miss the 90's
Everyone should use a bald man for a microphone.
Moist was my first concert I have ever seen. Western Fair in London, ON in 1996!
ok so i can answer all your questions in one go..the 90's madness overacted is actually how intense he(Mark Makowy) gets live..ive seen them over a dozen times since 94ish yes im old. and as far as the rest of the freaking out moments..

I saw Moist perform at McMaster University in 94, and security got confused and tackled David Usher on stage.

It makes me upset.
Back in the 90's when we wore torn up jeans and all black and did drugs n everything :)

Moist was my first concert I have ever seen. Western Fair in London, ON in 1996!
Tangerine is very similar, and Push has some resemblance sonically.
