  • You’ll never forget your first bull! On this episode, the guys talk about Lorenzo and Omar’s recent backcountry bowhunt for elk. They are also joined by the “Kiwi”, Cam Henderson, who came all the way over from New Zealand to film this and other hunts in the States. Listen in as they do a day-by-day recap of the hunt and hear about Omar’s rollercoaster of emotions leading up to him taking a great bull. This episode is also full of great tips if you still have an elk tag in your pocket.

This podcast was awesome. All your podcasts usually are though. You need Cam in more and to film more hunts he's hilarious. Congrats young Omar

I was born and raised in Santa Fe. Both my parent work/worked in Los Alamos. It’s very weird. All the bunkers you saw DO go underground. Lots of testing underground. I went to high school and grew up with Oppenheimer’s grandkids whom I’m still connected to.
Look into the once in a lifetime elk hunts in the Valles Caldera.
Both my mom and I have muzzleloader elk tags for December which allow us to harvest any elk we want. She and I are going together. Unit 51
    Best wishes.

Congrats Omar. Thanks for bringing us along on your adventure. Looking forward to the video. My hunt was more like Lorenzo’s. Lots of roads, silent elk, very few encounters. Beats working.

I would like to hear more about the Mammut boots mentioned in the most valuable gear. They look very different from the rest of the hunting boot market but Lorenzo gave them a great rating.

dude it was terrible where I was in Colorado. I was by myself so I was just praying every day i wouldn't get hurt climbing over something. you just have to take 10 yards at a time. get through one section then figure out how to get through the next 10 yards

While taking his comment out of context Lorenzo is mildly crazy 😂 if an animal can kill you then they are Big ham to the max but I can agree while not being an antlered species to me they get to hang out in the category with cats as a big game animal
