How I would go about raising a child whose mom is Muslim and my husband to be is Christian and so am I. The son is baptized at the church but shortly after his mother switched back to Islam . I can imagine how this child may be confused. We would be living in anther country than the mother, but it might be still confusing for the boy, different religion, different race, different language than the mother speaks . I want to coparent, I want to give the best chance to this boy. The man I love is a two in one package. Where he lives, women would not entertain the idea of coparenting . He will be sent to a boarding school at a tender age of 4/5.
First of all I would plea the blood of Jesus over the child. Declare no transferrence of spirit, but the Holy Spirit. Pray that the child would only want what is real, & an aversion to what is counterfeit. By leading a Godly example between your husband (his father) & yourself, you can win the child over by your actions. Showing the love of Christ... I was once married to a Muslim when I was walking in full blown rebellion to God. I still have a heart for the Middle East people post divorce, but I will tell you first hand, they don't care what you know, till they know that you care. Build relationships, if the mother is not receptive, it's ok, you can pray for them. Prayer changes things.
Getting rid of inner vows is the first step in happiness. God Bless your marriages.
