    We're letting you in on some secrets in this video... please don't go all at once to keep these beaches somewhat special 😉😅😘

    I love Théoule-sur-Mer sur Mer beach, La Plage Blanche ❤️ We discovered it this past August and now we are in love!

      It is sweet, also the one a little further towards Port de la Rague - but have you also tried Plage de l’Aiguille in Theoule? That’s one of our all time favorites (partly because of the great snorkelling possibilities) 😊😊😊

    Hi. What does it mean when you say that the beach has public and private areas? Isnt the sea and the beaches available to everybody by law? No such thing in France? 😮😲

    • @rivierago
      @rivierago  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi, yes, you’re right, there’s a law (loi littoral) that says all beaches must be accessible to the public. When we say “private beach” it means there’s a restaurant and sun beds for rent. You can still walk by, but you can’t really put your beach towel there to hang out, unless you get something to eat or drink or pay for a sun bed. 😄

      Do you need water shoes for the Bocca beach in Cannes...you mentioned the large super rocks but what about rocky beach like in the final beach or in Menton.?

      Oh, Italy’s not so much our area of expertise… Boats take off in Genoa, but do they go to Sardinia? There’s also an airport on Sardinia

    I love how you said "5 beachs in Nice" and choose beaches far from Nice LOL

    • @rivierago
      @rivierago  10 месяцев назад +1

      “In and around” Nice we say 😉 - and for a reason: who would look for a beach, say, in Théoule-sur-Mer - only those who know this area well, right? And those won’t be watching anyways. So: not meant to misguide you, just to give a geographical orientation

    Just got back, never again. The most overrated destination ever. Monaco, give me a break, Beverley Hills and Rodeo Drive it is not, it’s an overcrowded mess. As for places like Menton and Nice, I honestly do not understand why people think they are anything special. Give me the Florida Keys, Miami or Clearwater every day of the week. As for the food, come on lol….. Never again

      Ah, wow, really sorry to hear that! 😳Truthfully, the weather is a big part of the beauty down here, when it’s gray and cloudy it’s just not the same… and these past few weeks have really been bizarre weather wise. And crowded: yes. If you want the French Riviera more to yourself, come in the winter! The weather is still nice (most of the time), and you can enjoy peace and quiet. And as for the food: that must have been bad luck… We’ve hardly ever eaten as tasty food as in the South of France (and we’re not French, so trying not to be biased)… We’ll, in the end it probably comes down to what you’re looking for in a destination. We think: the Côte d’Azur has this charming mix of pretty beaches (there are nicer ones even in France, no doubt!), a lot of culture and history and therefore beautiful cities and villages (small compared to Paris or other big places, so don’t expect the same offers in any sense) and this typical Southern French lifestyle where e.g. an awesome open air dinner can take 3 or 4 hours… so yeah, if that’s not what you’re looking for then this is not the right destination for you. Again, sorry for that! 😟

      No need to say sorry 😊 We loved our stay in Nice and like you said it is a mix of culture with great food and beautiful scenery!
      If you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend Di Piu and Marcel Bistro!

      I flew from Paris many years ago to Nice (but was not living in Paris)and then I took the bus to Cannes and stayed for 10 days, though I did not see so much , Now I am thinking to stay for a while and preferably after summer as I remember of the humid weather !

      If you don’t need to travel during school holidays it’s definitely wise to come after August. If you’re into sun & heat & the lifestyle that goes with it, the summer is also great (but will always be crowded). The balmy nights in July and August are a thing to experience if you’re from a cooler region! Sitting outside on a terrace or on a beach until late at night, enjoying the air that cools off just enough to be comfortable… ok, getting poetic here, we’ll leave it at that 🤪🤩
