- Dante's Inferno is my fave song of my fave band: Iced Earth. What else could i say?. This song is just mindblowing; GALLOPS GALORE !!! (good old iced earth style), I hope and pray everyday of my life for they to return to their classic style. They are my favorite band for certain, but i have to admit i don't like their last two albums (FA and TCOM).
Anyway, succesfully achieving to recreate Jon's bionic right arm in this song was a very hard task. His gallops are extremely clean and fast as hell. There are some errors, but it is very hard to record this 16 min song perfectly in one shot so please be polite with your comments.
ABOUT THE TAPPING SECTION: Those tappings located in between the first sections of the song are a true mistery. No one knows how to play them (except for Randall Shawver of course). Larry Tarnowski plays them in a diferent way in the Alive in Athens. There are some tabs on the Internet describing them diferent from both versions (Randall and Larry) and many guitarist playing them that way. So i decided, if everyone is doing whatever they feel ok in that section i will play my own version of those tappings, hope you like them.
All constructive criticism will be most welcome, as it will help me to improve my skills as guitarist and musician. ALL DESTRUCTIVE CRITICISM will be erased immediately.

Dante's Inferno es mi rola favorita de mi banda favorita: Iced Earth. ¿Que más puedo decir? Esta canción es simplemente rompemadres. TONELADAS DE CABALLETES !!!! (el buen estilo antiguo de Iced earth). Espero y rezo todos los días para que algun día regresen a su estilo clásico. Son mi banda favorita pero tengo que reconocer que sus ultimos dos discos no fueron de mi agrado (FA y TCOM)
De cualquier manera, lograr recrear el brazo derecho biónico de Jon en esta canción fue una tarea muy dificil. Sus caballetes son extremadamente limpios y rápidos como la chingada. Hay algunos errores, pero en realidad es muy dificl grabar una canción de 16 minutos de manera perfecta en una sola toma asi que no se pasen de camote con los comentarios.
ACERCA DE LA SECCION DE TAPPINGS: Esos tappings que van entre las primeras secciones de la canción son un verdadero misterio. Nadie sabe como tocarlos (excepto Randall Shawver, porsupuesto). Larry Tarnowski toca esos tappings de una manera diferente en el Alive in Athens. Hay algunas tabs en INternet que los describen de una manera diferente a ambas versiones (Randall y Larry) y muchos guitarristas que los tocan de esa manera. Asi que pues decidí que, si todo el mundo hace su pachanga con esos tappings, pues entonces yo tambien voy a tener mi propia manera de tocarlos, espero sea de su agrado.
Todas las críticas constructivas son bienvenidas, pues ellas me harán crecer como guitarrista y como músico. CRITICAS DESTRUCTIVAS serán borradas inmediatamente.

A little over a year ago I said this and now I can pretty much play this song on guitar! Just a few more months of practicing to perfect my timing a bit more and such and I will upload my own cover of this!!!!

great how you pull out your tongue at the same passage as the drummer in athens live video, fantastic cover, I always say that 1/2 of Iced earth is Schaffers right hand and you are one of few people who can precisely play with such a menacing velocity. Me acuerdo que cuando me aprendí esta canción, si me basé en una tab de guitar pro que me bajé del sitio de Ultimate Guitar pero me acuerdo que al momento de revisarla junto con el track d ela canción habían ciertas partes que no sonaban igual, asi que esas partes las saqué de oído, fue una combinación entre tabs y oído. @anubis1335 =O I honestly don't remember excatly the whole settings, but i'm pretty sure I used "Modern Hi Gn" + "4 x 12 Green 25" + mic "Condenser", I remember tweaked quite hard some frequencies at the 4 band equalizer, but i don't remember which ones and the gains i used, i don't have that preset anymore, it's all I remember.

@RandallTheBestIEGtr Hello Randall, I just saw your comment. Thanks to take the time to watch the video. My intention was never play the solo as it was recorded, i have always thought that the solo of a song is the place where the intepreter's style should show up in order to make a statement as an interpreter and not as a robot playting everything exactly as it is on the record. Besides, this is just a video, I think Troy Steele butchers even more your leads playing live with Iced ^_^.
I must say, well done!!!!! Love the band and love the picking accuracy!!!!!!! My only question is, do you give lessons??? Haha.

@schaffergallops Thanks for your comment my friend, i jus suscribed to your channel and watched some of your videos and they are great, let me know when you upload your version. About the technique, i honestly don't know how to help you, i just kept practicing over and over some iced earth riffs till i got the neccesary speed to play them as they are on the records.
